nothing about this scene is funny actually. WHAT DO YOU MEAN he closed his eyes while she quoted his words back to him. why does he look so fond and endeared you ask ??? BC HES A FOOL IN LOVE !!!! why does he watch her that way, why does he relax so easily around her ??!?!??!? ITS BC HES IN LOVE AND HES HORRIBLE AT HIDING IT
Louis owning half of Lestat's merch sales, opening up a hotel specifically to invite Lestat to the grand opening Knowing it will be trashed somehow just so he can force Lestat to talk to him in civil court, insisting on a "fan experience" to make up for the property damage (the lawyer literally said "yes you have to fuck him if you want him to drop the lawsuit"), using the meeting to try and force Lestat to talk about their relationship problems, and then going to the concert just to look uninterested the entire time.....he is in fact a beautiful unwell!
I wouldn't be against 1864 era if it was told from Emily's perspective. Like I need to know what was going in that era when it came to the council becoming aware of the supernatural, the confederacy exist so slavery exist, I wanna see who and who was enslaving people and I'm genuinely just interested in Emily's life.
I mean it’s kinda the real life tragedy of love exaggerated, innit? Irl people die young or one person dies old and another person dies even older. At the end of it all someone gets left behind and has to learn how to move on after that. And for the one who dies you know you’re leaving them behind. You know you’re dooming them to moving on and if you believe in an afterlife god only knows how long you’ll be waiting for them on the other side. The tragedy of the immortal loving the mortal takes those feelings we all know about and rips your heart out about it.
