The reason why I think a crossover fic between The Adventure Zone: Balance and The Lord of The Rings would be so funny is because Taako and Merle literally reverse the common stereotypes that Elves and Dwarves have about each other in universe (especially in fandom and fic). Taako is the one who likes the shiny rocks and gems and will strive for them. It comes from his past in poverty but it’s there.
And Merle fucks plants.
One thing that makes me sad (in a good way) is how much more attached I am to these characters.
An impressive feat, as I have been VERY attached to the characters of Percy Jackson. Like I’m gonna be honest I have always been in the crowd of people who could not vibe with the Grover erasure of the fandom after the sequel series, and now I hate it even more. Like don’t get me wrong love Jason and Percy friendship and I think that fanon addition really fleshes out Jason’s character, but it usually happens in fics or shit posts or stuff and forgets about Grover.
And this can be said for the Piper and Annabeth friendship too, because she is also besties with Grover. But I have more to say about this later.
So I am sad because I love Grover even more now, I had no idea I could do that, but I do? And I just hope that we as a fandom can be strong and can remember Grover as we make HOO content.
Another person to remember is Thalia and Rachel and also Clarisse. I think that the Piper and Annabeth friendship makes more sense to be as close as they are as they have a lot of time off page together and have established inside jokes. But Thalia is Annabeth’s sister and best friend, and that friendship continues with Percy and Thalia differently where they became just the other kind of siblings. Where Annabeth and Thalia are the loving sisters who are close and fights are rare and quick, Percy and Thalia are the close siblings who are loving but also bully each other relentlessly.
Percy and Clarisse are also friends. So are Annabeth and Clarisse. Annabeth and Clarisse are two siblings that hate each other but respect each other and also don’t hate each other. Like Clarisse fell for the trap, she knew Annabeth for two seconds and was like “yeah that’s my family now,” and it’s why when it really came down to it, she chose to save Annabeth when she heard that Alison was out for blood. I genuinely think to some extent her being so fleece focused was also because she respected Annabeth to save herself. But also because her tunnel vision was saving the greater collective. And Percy and Clarisse are kinda sibling coded, but much more ‘this loser has a crush on my little sister and I need to give him shit for it” while it also equally, ‘this loser fought my dad and won and that kinda terrifies me and yet I respect him for it and I want to me more like him and also the idea of that repulses me’ you know?
And I think Clarisse and Thalia have only gotten closer to Percy and Annabeth and Grover.
And do I think Piper should be included with those names when discussing Annabeth’s closest friends, but so should Rachel. Because the implication is that Rachel and Annabeth became really good friends after TLO which is funny as fuck. I think Piper and Annabeth became friends when Annabeth was likely at her worst emotional health in a whole (forced to recover the traumas of the war with out Percy because he is missing, and then her mom disowns her), and I think characters like Clarisse and Rachel who are at camp and knew the war will be huge friendships for her in that time. So I think that should be thought about. Thalia is complicated because she is well you know, a hunter.
And now! Tyson!
Tyson. Tyson! Tyson!!!!!!
You know I have always headcanoned that Tyson was Percy’s best man at his wedding, because Grover is officiating it, and Thalia is Annabeth’s maid of honor.
And I have always been attached to Tyson. I really have. And I am not excited to have a whole season without him 😭 like nooooooo!
This post is not really going anywhere but just that I really am so much more attached to these characters so the erasure of them is so much more painful!
Anyone who says there is no evidence of Percy dropping and risking everything for anyone other than Annabeth in the show somehow missed the inciting incident of the season. For Percy it was never about Thalia or camp. It was Grover. Annabeth is going for all three reasons. And Clarisse just wants to save the camp.
He is going to the Sea of Monsters to save Grover. That is his priority, the fleece was his way of convincing camp there needed to be a quest.
LOUD REPOST!!!
A SoM AU in which Polyphemus invites the entire family to his wedding. Percy arrives on the island and the first thing he sees is Poseidon drinking wedding cocktails.
Poseidon: Percy…
Percy: Father…
Poseidon:… please tell me you aren't wearing these old rags to your brother’s wedding *sips his piña colada*
Percy: Fashion advice from the walking fashion disaster.
Poseidon: Hawaiian shirts are fashionable!
Percy: Sure dad
Percy: who told you that? Adam Sandler?
Poseidon:
Poseidon:…maybe
now it's mission ruin the wedding.
Sit-com style attempts to break up the couple of the hour held by Percy and Annabeth while the rest of the seafam thwarts their attempts
meanwhile, the "bride" AKA Grover, keeping pointing out to Percy and Annabeth that they can just rescue him and leave, it's not that deep, but noooooooo, Percy and Annabeth want to ruin the wedding properly and come up with a soap-opera scandal.
Grover; Precy pleace! I really want to leave like NOW!
Percy pouting; But Grover we'll be family, plus in the divorce you get half of everything! Witch includes me!
Annabeth; ..... and the golden fleece.
Triton, who overheard just a compromising part of the talk, to Poseidon: dad, don’t freak out but Polyphemus’ bride wishes to run away with Percy
Poseidon, gasps and spits his coquetel: MY BABY PERCY?
Triton: Percy is also attempting to ruin the wedding
Poseidon: ...so Percy's reciprocates Polyphemus' bride's feelings?
*one conversation later*
Percy: Dad! I am not interested in Grover!
Poseidon: then why-
Poseidon: oh.... OH
Poseidon: now listen I know we're greek but do not follow Zeus and Hera's example, I think incest is looked down upon these days-
Percy: wHA-
Outfits!
ko-fi
Imagine a Heroes of Olympus AU where, due to the empathy link, Hera can’t snatch Percy and wipe his memories without also messing with Grover’s mind. (That or she’s just worried Grover would use the link to find Percy before the time is right, so she gets him out of the picture too.) Maybe she sends both of them to the Wolf House together, but more likely she doesn’t think Grover is very important and just drops him in the wilderness somewhere.
So Percy’s following Lupa’s instructions and heading to Camp Jupiter, fighting every single monster within a five mile radius along the way, and the whole time he’s got this feeling like he’s getting close to something. He assumes it means he’s getting close to camp, but meanwhile Grover has been traveling towards him, following that same unidentified feeling like a compass, as the only lead he has to go on with no memory. After like a full week(?) of fighting weird monsters that want to kill him, Percy encounters some guy with horns and goat legs and probably attempts to slay him on sight to get things over with. Grover of course yells “I surrender! Don’t kill me!” and they get to talking. Percy is mildly suspicious, but takes Grover’s word that not all animal hybrid creatures are out for his blood. So they set off for Camp Jupiter together.
When they get there, none of the Romans are too happy to welcome another “good for nothing” faun onto their territory, but Juno gave Percy her endorsement, and Percy gave Grover his endorsement, so if the Romans want to follow Juno’s instructions and make sure the son of Neptune sticks around, they’ve got to let the faun tag along. Grover is uncomfortable with being so utterly disliked on first sight by so many people—and he can read emotions, so the message is coming through loud and clear. Before he encounters the fauns of Camp Jupiter, he probably just assumes he’s a random monster on par with the gorgons, and that’s why he’s so hated. Monster or no, though, Percy is already unwaveringly loyal towards his new friend. Grover is the first person he’s met who hasn’t wanted anything from him but his companionship. No harsh training to survive, no fighting to the death. Just traveling and talking and making stupid jokes together to make everything seem less scary. The way they clicked, it was as if they had been friends for far longer than a few days. In fact, Percy can practically feel Grover’s fear and shame at the Romans’ reactions as if they were his own emotions, and it only makes him more defensive of his friend.
Eventually Grover and Percy encounter Don the Faun, prompting Hazel to explain that fauns, collectively, aren’t much more than beggars, thieves, and freeloaders. Of course, she probably phrases it just a smidge more tactfully, given that Grover is, y’know, standing right there. He now understands the dismissive way he’s been treated. A faun welcomed right into camp and given the “New Legionnaire” tour alongside Juno’s chosen hero. What a joke. He almost wishes he really was a monster instead. Evil or no, at least monsters are powerful and impressive, not… useless. He sees what Don is like, what all fauns are like, apparently, and he feels ashamed of himself. Percy tries to cheer him up, tries to remind him that the Lares keep calling him a Greek. An enemy. Nevermind how Neptune and his children are apparently barely respected here. If Percy and Grover are outcasts at Camp Jupiter, then they’ll be outcasts together.
That makes Grover feel a little bit better. But not much.
Grover certainly doesn’t want to seek out the other fauns. Even if it is off-putting that no one cares they’re all basically homeless, Grover still finds those that he’s met to be unfocused and irritating. He feels different from them. Grover sticks close to Percy, because Percy is pretty much the only person in the Legion who acknowledges his existence. Grover is not invited to join the Legion with Percy. Not that he particularly wants to sign up for ten years of army, but at least it would have given him a place to belong. Grover also isn’t invited to join the War Games, but no one stops him from coming either. They don’t seem to think he’d make a difference one way or the other, so if he wants to go charging in to his death, why stop him? Hazel and Frank have interacted with Grover enough, by way of interacting with Percy, to know that he’s at least a little different from other fauns, so they don’t mind having his help. And besides, the Fifth Cohort knows what it’s like to be the underdogs. How much worse could one faun make things?
When the Fifth Cohort takes the War Games by storm, and Hazel, Frank, and Percy prove their abilities, Grover is right there alongside them, using nature magic as a crucial part of their plan. Through this shared victory, Hazel and Frank and the rest of the Fifth gain respect for Grover as an individual, and the rest of the Legion at least has to notice that he’s there.
When it comes time for the quest, of course Percy wants Grover to come with him and Frank and Hazel, even if three is the usual quest limit. (I don’t remember if it is with Romans.) Whether three is the limit or not, though, the Romans aren’t too keen on letting a faun join a quest. Best case scenario, they think, Grover wouldn’t take it seriously, and would run away at the nearest sign of trouble. A waste of a choice for a companion. Fauns aren’t heroes. They’re just nuisances. Percy is clearly angry and about to argue, but Grover stops him, instead speaking calmly for himself, and putting to use his skill for convincing people of things. (You’d think he could charmspeak, honestly.) Grover swallows his pride and recommends himself as more of an assistant than an actual member of the quest. Someone to carry the equipment, set up camp, get groceries now and then, etc. A servant, practically, for the real heroes.
“You know you’re not getting paid for this,” Reyna points out.
Grover has to bite his tongue to keep his temper. “Yes. I know.”
In the end, Grover is allowed to join Percy and the others on the principle that, again, his presence shouldn’t make that much of a difference one way or the other. And besides, if he’s not technically part of the quest or the Legion, they can’t stop him from happening to travel to the exact same places at the exact same time, can they? If the questers don’t have an issue with it, then sure. Let the faun go on a quest.
Grover is laughed out of the Senate House. He tries not to get too upset. He got what he wanted, after all. But at the cost of humiliation.
Percy asks Grover why he would even want to come on a dangerous quest when he doesn’t have to, especially when the Romans made it as hard as they did for him to be allowed. Grover says he wanted to help Percy because they’re friends, and because Percy is the only person who’s ever stuck up for him.
Percy says, “I appreciate that, but we’ve only been friends for the better part of a week. Is this really worth the risk, for someone you barely know?”
“Even if it wasn’t,” Grover replies, “I can’t stay here. I won’t stay somewhere I’m hated. I’d rather be out there with you, doing something useful, than get treated like I’m worthless.
“Besides,” he says, “I’m sick of people telling me what I can’t do.”

Some food for thought about the teaser & What I think is going on?
First of all, I'm gonna take you back to last year because we will need those information later.
I will revisit everything quickly before connecting the dots, in case you weren't here during the filming or just need a reminder.
- CHURCH SET
This set was a VERY important filming place during last year, in which they closed all the close roads and everything.
The set also had a crazily big crane, basically everything that screams it's an important place.
That set was built late May 2024 for the first time, shortly after it was taken down & the filming was delayed to August, due to an actor being unavailable.
It all happened around two weeks, so it was a situation with that actor that happened suddenly. People initially thought it's Millie, but she was being seen hanging out with her husband so it wasn't her.During that time, none of the actors were really unavailable. Except Noah, who had a really visible stye on his eye this exact time.
Which means he won't be able to use contacts, and it will just look bad in close up shots. So he was most likely the actor they delayed this filming for.
— FINN & NOAH'S REHEARSAL
During these weeks, we were informed about Finn and Noah flying to set on their off day just to rehearse an important scene, the two of them. And the church was newly being built, even the information we got was them rehearsing for the church. So it's safe to day that was true.
— FILMING IN CHURCH
In August 2024, the set was built back. They filmed multiple scenes there with older teens and some other characters, but Noah or Finn wasn't seen during those filmings even if they were supposedly filming that week, probably in somewhere else.
However, to our surprise the production went back to the church set in October 2024, two months later, with Noah (confirmed) Nell and Finn (at some point, according to locals). This filming took 4 days in total.
— EPISODE INFORMATION
Every information we had points out to this scenes taking place in episode 6 - 7. The best guess is the scene with Noah taking place in episode 7 The Bridge, and some other scenes being in episode 6.
Speaking of episode 6, we have absolutely no information about Will in this episode. We were able to learn such kind of information for all the filming era, but for episode 6 Will is nowhere to be found.
The only thing I have is that Noah was filming something separately from the rest for a while. Jamie was also on set the same exact week. Not being 100% sure about this, that was from episode 6 because I remember thinking how that's all we got from that episode about Will.
What I think is going on?
At the end of episode 5 / beginning of episode 6, Will disappears.
Him filming with Nell in the church pretty much confirms she was trapped there. And when you put everything together, it very much seems like Will is there for her. Knowing him, sacrificing for an innocent kid who is about to have the same fate as him and is Mike's sister on top of that, is something that he definitely would do. He even might be tormented by Vecna, being shown visions of her, just to pull him in there willingly. And of course Will would do that, this might be how he finds her.
The scene of El going into the deprivation tank might be to find them. El seems to be comforting Mike in this scene, reassuring him about both her safety & finding them. Mike seems to be down and needs reassurance, which makes sense knowing how it would hit him to not be able to save his little sister, then losing Will, then putting El in danger.
And thanks to Shawn Levy posting a bts of this scene before, we know it happens in his episode, aka the episode we don't hear from Will, episode 6.
You could also argue that it's about Max, but i think Escape from the Camazots is already the episode she finally manages to wake up. But still, could be. I can't add more about this Max possibility because of our lack of information about her, so I'm gonna stick with the other possibility. The theory could still work without this exact scene not being about this.
After the gang finds out where they are, they go to the church, which are the multiple outdoor scenes that were filmed in there.
And the second filming that happened with Noah, and possibly with Nell and Finn, is when Mike comes in to save the day, to try, at least.
In his post, Ross confirmed only episode 7 was not included in the teaser, which is the episode this takes place in, probably along with some Max stuff.
Holly having a cleric figurine and Mike telling her "it will keep her safe" made me almost sure it was gonna be Will who ends up saving her, and all of this just adds to it.
General Opinions:
About this Elmike scene i'm honestly one of those who didn't experience doubt (as usual for me but wait, listen).
First of all the aim of a teaser is to remind the audience where they left while also giving them a general opinion on the new season. It is not meant to you give you any spoilers, nor let you know about the outcomes of the unresolved arcs. Especially when you're watching Stranger Things, after Ross had to make it clear while posting the teaser, Imao.
You did not imagine byler when it's not there. Will's love for Mike took them three seasons to build up. Two seasons of Will's character arc has been solely about his sexuality and love for Mike. Mike's behavior with El and Will has been put in an unexplainable way. And most importantly, the plot was left unresolved to the final season.
So no, The Duffers aren't trying to give the message to delusional byler fans, they, in fact know where they put this story and how would the fans react to it.
And no, they're not letting you know about the outcome of this plot that took them seasons to build up through a teaser which they sweared up and down isn't spoilery.
We also need to stop freaking out every time we see El and Mike together. If we want this to work, there has to be actual heart-to-heart moments between them that will contradict their dynamic during the relationship.
Also, we already know Mike and Will share 85% of this season together, and if you didn't see them in the teaser, congrats, there is something to hide there.
Other than that I'm pretty caught up with the scene where Vecna himself comes for an unconscious Will and only Mike & Joyce being there to save him. I can't even imagine watching this sequence & the aftermath of it with Byler.
There has never been a scene like this where Mike saves Will like this when he's not fully unconscious, especially not from something like this. We're so getting s2 byler on steroids it's crazy to think about.
Anyway, i think that's all i have in mind now, reblog with opinions if you have something to add! I could discuss those stuff for hours. <333

KPOP DEMON HUNTER SPOILERS
________________________________
am I going to get jumped by the Kpop Demon Hunter fans if I say I didn't really care about the Rumi x Juni romance?
I enjoyed the movie and there were many things I liked but the romance... I'm sorry it didn't do anything for me. In fact, I kind of actively disliked it in the movie.
I connected so much more with scenes that weren't about them as a couple; the confrontation between Celine and Rumi, the scenes focused on the girls, like the one between Mira and Rumi in her room, the fight on the train and after Takedown, and Zoey and Mira giving into the voices near the end. I found myself wishing the whole time that the romance plot had been scrapped so that those relationships could be more developed because it felt like what we got was little bits left over from what could have been more developed plots. I wanted Zoey and Mira to have more development as characters beyond the subtle hints at their insecurities. The relationship between Celine and Rumi could have been so interesting if we had focused on it for more than two seconds, especially since that seems to be where a lot of people's lingering questions lie.
Instead it felt like all that was pushed to the side to let Rumi and Juni have a romance which, to me, only seemed to serve a plot purpose that could have easily been solved in any other platonic relationship Rumi has, but maybe I'm missing something.
The romance plot just felt very generic and didn't feel overly special or romantic in any way to me. I keep seeing people talking about how emotional it made them and how much they loved them, but I just don't get it.
Feel free to tell me why you like them as a couple I'm all towards others opinions, just at the moment I didn't feel connected to it and I needed a place to explain why.
