5 ways to help stay motivated during COVID 19
So it’s a difficult time for everyone all over the world right now with the coronavirus still ongoing and a lot of people are feeling anxious about the future. Firstly, it’s important to remember that it’s ok to have days where you feel like you are struggling, you won’t be the only one as no-one’s life carries on normal right now but things definitely will get better.
As social distancing and staying at home orders are extended throughout the world, here are just 5 things that I find helpful during this situation.
1. Get outside
It really depends on the government advice within the area you live but for the UK, you can get out for an hours exercise per day. I’ve been using this time to go for a walk. It helps clear my head after a busy working day, I get the chance to listen to my music and just go a wander. Walking has been proven to help mental health as it reduces stress, fatigue and anxiety. It also helps with sleep so even on those days you just can’t be bothered, do it and you’ll notice a difference to how you feel.
2. Keep routine in your life
I’ve been working from home since the 16th of March so I have been sticking to my usual routine, the same as I would if i was going into the office for the day. I know a lot of people aren’t working at the moment so it’s easy to lie longer, put off doing things that need done so I would recommend getting a decent nights sleep, setting an alarm to get up at a reasonable hour and try set yourself daily tasks no matter how small they seem . This will just help give you a sense of normality and can massively improve feelings of uncertainty.
3. Have some you time
Make sure to give yourself some TLC. For me, this is after I’ve had my walk. I come home, cook my dinner then enjoy a nice shower with some good skin care. It may sound simple but having this relaxing time just slows me down into a more relaxed state and allows me to switch off from “work mode”. I tend to stay away from my laptop or TV for a couple of hours after work just to help me unwind and rest my eyes but whether it’s putting on your fav tv show or reading, give yourself an hour or two to just focus on you and what makes you feel good.
4. Keep in contact with friends & family
With not being able to socialise, it’s crucial to make sure that you remain in contact with your friends and family. Social distancing can be the hardest aspect of this pandemic for many people. Not getting to spend time with friends can be emotionally exhausting for some, especially those who are on their own. I’m lucky as I live with my fiance and we spend a lot of time together normally anyway. Social distancing does not mean you have to put your life on hold. The main one at the moment is by video chat or phone calls. I felt like I was back in 2005 to the good old MSN days when I had my first zoom with my friends and it was a little strange but now I’m loving it. Weekends just wouldn’t be the same without it. It’s good to know that even though we can’t all be together at the moment, you can keep up to date with the people you love, just as you would if you get up for a coffee. Speaking to people about how you feel helps you remember that you’re not alone and everyone is experiencing the same things.
5. Accept that it’s normal to not be that productive right now
Some days you may not have much ability to focus and that’s honestly to be expected. You may find that you have good days where you’re feeling motivated and other days where you just want to lie on the sofa eating. Learning how to adjust to being isolated from your usual normal is bound to be hard and staying motivated can be tricky, but you can help make it a bit easier for yourself by setting realistic schedules and taking time to care for yourself. Staying motivated can help refocus our attention away from these stressful changes.
If I told you last year this was the way things would be at the moment, I’m sure most of you would have laughed and shuddered at the thought but look how much we as humans can adapt. For some, it may be challenging but you have and will continue to adapt so that’s something to be proud of. I hope you are healthy, keeping safe and being sensible in order to get life back to normal as soon as we can!
Love

It’s a difficult time for everyone across the world right now but it’s so important that we take a little time out of our days to have a bit of self care.
For me, I’m current working from home and this is actually my 4th week of doing it now, Scotland only went into lock down about two weeks ago and the whole of the UK has got a long way to go yet.
Taking time to have a little bubble bath to relax; pamper yourself with all your fav skincare and watch a good film might not seem a lot but it will make you feel a little bit more positive.
Hope everyone is keeping safe!!
Lots of love,

I can’t wait to see the colours inside of this!!!
The conspiracy collection Jeffree Star x Shane Dawson reveal is now online and will launch Friday the 1st for everyone to get their hands on!
I’m so excited to get this palette in particular, I’ve watched the documentary with Shane and Jeffree which reveals the entire process from just an idea to choosing colours, deciding names, discussing deadlines and costs. It’s a first to ever be done in terms of the making of a product straight to shops and I’ve personally loved watching it.
Are you excited for this collection?
Natalie :) xoxo
Loving the Jeffree Star mini jawbreaker palette - the colours are absolutely stunning and I can’t wait to create some looks!
Absolutely loving the makeup revolution Soph x palette which was only £7.99 - amazing for how good the shadows are!!
How I tame my frizzy, unruly hair
So as a lot of you would have seen from a while ago, my hair got really badly damaged in 2016 and ever since, I’ve been nursing it back to health in any way I can but thankfully, I’m finally there now.
Straightening hair can cause serious breakage and damage so I stopped this for around 6 months just to let my hair repair itself as best as it could and also used any products that were said to help. For On the odd occasion, I’d still use the straighteners but I was more mindful when using them because I couldn’t afford for my hair to snap anymore than it already had.
My mum has beautiful hair and looks after it well with the right treatments and products because she had a similar situation with bleach a long time ago. A few months ago, she was telling me about a product she bought from Marks & Spencer’s, so I purchased it to give it a go.
The Color wow Dream Coat spray cost me around £24.99 and comes in a 200ml bottle. I followed the instructions by applying the spray to my damp hair after I washed it and drained any excess water (I always recommend using a t-shirt as it soaks up more moisture and is less damaging on the hair than a towel) and I just blow dried my hair in the usual way.
My natural hair is really thick again (thankfully) and has a slight wave through it if I don’t dry it without a hair dryer. If I do, it’s still really thick and frizzy. This product claims to help compress, tighten and seal individual hair strands and honestly, it does exactly that. My hair didn’t look too different after just blow drying it (the hairs did look more smooth) but when I gently applied the straighteners, my hair looked sleek, shiny and felt so light. The product is activated by the heat and it looks it in to protect the hair from any moisture. Usually within minutes of going out into the humidity (usually dampness in Scotland as opposed to heat) my hair gets frizzy but I’ve noticed a big difference.
My hair still looks straight and has that hair dresser feel to it. I’ve had a few compliments on people asking if I’ve had my hair done just because it looks sleeker but I just keep telling them I washed my hair for a change (I try only wash my hair around 2/3 times a week) but there is definitely a difference.
The above photo is taken the day after using & being caught in the good old Scottish weather - still looks straight and the individual strands look sleek.
I’d give this product a 4.5/5 and recommend to anyone who has the same issues as me with any humidity in the air. For the price, I’d say it’s worth the money as it’s a good sized bottle and will last a while. As for the product name, it’s a wow from me too.
After looking into it, you can purchase color wow products on their website, QVC, Look Fantastic, Feel Unique and Beauty Flash.

Jeffree Star Cosmetics Magic Star Concealer Stolen & Leaked Online!!
So if you’re a Jeffree star fan, you might have noticed the past few days he has been quiet on social media until a few tweets were sent out:
It turns out that the warehouses were products are kept was broken into over the weekend. Jeffree talks about how the break in seemed to be a professional job by a team of people who knew exactly what they were doing - thousands of units were taken with a total value of around $2.5 million dollars. Whilst most people knew that the product was underway and would be released some time this year, it was never revealed to be fully ready which makes it seem like some sort of inside job.
Photographs then started to circulate on the internet ( I won’t be showing the photo of the product here in support of what has happened here) and was then being sold on numerous online websites for a large sum.
Some of you might remember this happened to Anastasia Beverly Hills a while ago now & it seems like this is unfortunately a thing in the beauty industry.
Counterfeit and Black Market makeup is unfortunately a big thing. There is a good chance that at some point you have purchased/came across counterfeit make up online and this is due to the fact the industry is worth billions so please be careful where you purchase your products and make sure it is purchased with all good intentions.
People go crazy to get their hands on the latest beauty products and with a brand such as JSC - they know there is demand.
The good news? Jeffree Star is fully insured and the product will be revealed at some stage this month - with 30 different concealer shades so hopefully this is inclusive for all (I have good feelings that it will given his controversial comments about Tarte) and at present, investigations are still under way with the FBI to find out exactly what happened here.
The beauty industry can be a dark place and it happens more than is told in the media but we love you, Jeffree and I personally cannot wait to try out the concealer!
what’s your thoughts??

Procoal Activated Charcoal scrub - Baby soft skin!
Skincare is the most important thing in my routine both day and night, especially as I get older (28...when did this happen?!). Whilst using a good cleanser helps get rid all the makeup that is on my skin, it’s important to go beyond that to remove all dead skin and build up.
I’ve recently been using the Procoal London Activated Charcoal Exfoliating face scrub which I find is perfect for my super sensitive skin. After trying out hundreds of different facial scrubs – I’ve always found it difficult to get one that doesn’t irritate my skin and this one is smoothing due to its cruelty free and natural ingredients such as calendula oil, pumice and allantoin. The activated charcoal also works to get into those deep set pores. A little bit goes off this product goes a long way and I just gently rub this into my skin after I’ve cleansed (using my Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish). The beads within the product help remove any dead skin and really help get into those areas that a cleanser can’t reach, working to get rid of the dead and dulling skin cells built up. After rinsing off with warm water, you can instantly feel the difference to your skin. It feels softer, refreshed and gives an all over brighter glow. Most of all, it doesn’t leave my skin looking red which a lot of exfoliators can on sensitive skin.
After suffering with slight discoloration due to using the birth control pill over the space of 10 years, exfoliators help brighten up my skin and gradually the slight pigmentation I suffered from has become a lot lighter. I use this around 2 – 3 times a week which I find is just enough and after use, I give my skin around 15 minutes before using my Kielhs ultra motorizing facial balm.
For a 75ml tube, this is down to £8.99 which is a good price for what it does. I used to use the origins charcoal mask which was around £25.00 and find the results of the procoal better for my skin so it’s a win from me. You might have seen these advertised in GC and Vogue to name but a few and it’s so wonder that it’s the talk of the skincare gods. It is suitable for all skin types and the charcoal helps just draw out all the dirty that can gather. It’s a 5/5 from me and I can’t wait to continue using this on my skin.
You can purchase this little beauty at the procoal website here.
What’s your fav skin care products?

I posted about this on my personal Instagram but need to share with you all. So I’m all about good skincare and my gran actually recommended this to me (she’s got beautiful skin so when she recommends, I listen!) from marks and Spencer’s beauty range.
I bought it for £22.00 and have been using it day and night for the past week. Firstly, the texture is stunning - it’s thick but doesn’t apply like that to the skin. It smells lovely and most importantly, it’s super hydrating for my skin which can be dry at this time of year. It reminds me of the Clarins hydroquench and if you know that moisturer, you’ll know that’s about £16.00 more expensive than this little beauty so I’d definitely recommend trying this out.
This is the formula absolute all in one cream and my next purchase will be their night time cream as I’ve heard amazing things!

1st of December means red lipstick and warm coats are back in full swing (although in Scotland it’s been freezing cold since around August haha) ☺️🎄.
We bought a new flat in summer & last night put all our Christmas decorations up so it’s beginning to feel a lot like Christmas (too early! Don’t care!)
