Josh Foley - Elixir

I don't talk about it very much but Elixir is actually my favorite X-Men character, and one of my favorite superheroes in general. I absolutely adore the New Mutants run he's from and his character development over the years

For Josh I wanted to play on his healing/destruction dichotomy, so I chose a snake that has both incredibly toxic venom but venom that is also being used for medical purposes

Lanceheads are a species of South American pit viper, super deadly, but enzymes in their venom have antimicrobial and medical benefits (https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC6832721/)

I also liked the lancehead because it has gold coloring, similar to Josh (though I expanded it to stay in line with his canon appearance)

Josh has had a ton of costumes but I decided to draw his most recent one, from his time on Krakoa
