ARCO COLOMBIA
This year was a very special ARCO Madrid. Colombia was the chosen guest country for this year’s art festival.
The country not only brought over some particularly fine artists to Spain for the ARCO weekend, they also managed to fully immerse Colombia and its culture into Madrid for longer periods of time.
The Colombian government flew out artists to the capital, giving them a chance to communicate their ideas and projects. Most importantly, Colombia managed to put an extensive number of exhibitions on in Madrid for many, many months and not just the short four day period that ARCO usually lasts. Madrileños and tourists subsequently have a chance to view these works and get a taste of Colombian arts.
Here is a list of Colombian projects that are still going on in Madrid now.
