Nightmare would still protect her subjects from nightmares. When the little orphan in her castle starts to dream, she can’t help but keep them peaceful.

Kinda reminds me of Maleficent and Aurora.😭

Bluemoon, apprentice to NightmareMoon and main character of my Au. I love the moon aesthetic too much.

Blue is who speaks to ponies when they have issues with the whole eternal night thing. She loves Nightmare like a mother, but slowly learns that she may not be ruling Equestria with the best intentions.

I feel like the Dragons would call her the Phoenix Princess. She earned their respect by keeping the Sun at setting position because Celestia was gone, but wasn’t able to fully raise it.

This redesign is from an Au where NightmareMoon rules and the main six never existed…the ones we know, at least. Sunset faithfully stayed Celestia’s pupil, but couldn’t fight Nightmare off when she returned. 100 years later, Sunset is the leader of the rebellion and only source of sunlight in Equestria.☀️
