what exactly does a low-maintenance rp partner mean? well… it means that I will never rush you for a reply ( ic or ooc ), meme or ask answer, or pretty much anything! take all the time you need, it really doesn’t matter to me. this isn’t a race, this is something that is done for fun! so, don’t feel obligated to do something or even be online, if you don’t want to. it doesn’t matter how long or fast it takes you to respond to me, if you’re my person, you’re my person. and if you go on hiatus, i’ll stick with you through it so when you come back it’s like nothing ever happened. never feel obligated to explain to me why it takes so long, i get it we all have other things we’re doing. some of us work full-time, some of us are in school full-time, some of us run multiple blogs and some of us just can’t find the will or motivation to write for a couple days on end… I never want you to feel pressured to interact/talk/associate with me. so, do what you need for yourself and just know i’ll be here in the background rooting for you!

8 months later. It’s fine. Here’s the latest character psd I’ve whipped up. It’s nothing terribly fancy but I liked how it turned out. Everything is sorted into folders and has both options for the text and the image at the bottom. Feel free to edit it to your heart’s content, just please don’t redistribute as your own.

It has been decades since the Lake Shawnee Amusement Park buzzed with the laughter of children. But according to local legend, the park is still a playground for ghosts.

The southern West Virginia park was abandoned in 1966, after the accidental deaths of two of its young patrons. But it seems Lake Shawnee’s haunted history reaches much farther back.

Mercer County was home to a Native American tribe until 1783, when a European family’s attempt to settle the land sparked a violent turf war. The patriarch of the family was a farmer named Mitchell Clay. While he was out hunting, a band of Native Americans reportedly killed his youngest son, Bartley Clay. A daughter, Tabitha, was knifed to death in the struggle. Eldest son Ezekial was kidnapped and burned at the stake. Mitchell Clay enlisted the help of other white settlers to seek vengeance for his family. After burying his children, he murdered several of the Native Americans.

Centuries later, in the 1920s, a businessman named Conley T. Snidow purchased the site of the Clay farm and developed it into an amusement park. He built a swing set, a ferris wheel, and opened up the pond for swimming.

But death still hung over that cursed parcel of land. A little girl in a pink ruffled dress met her end after climbing into the circling swing set. She was killed after a truck backed into the path of the swing. Another little one, this time a boy, drowned in the amusement park’s swimming pond.

According to Visit West Virginia, the park’s rides were responsible for a total of six deaths. The park eventually shut down, but its structures were left to rot and rust. (Source)

Things I love about the “villain turns good” trope:

Ex-villains graduating to “weird uncle” status.

Ex-villains and hero(es) turning the events of previous battles into bizarre inside jokes.

Ex-villains embracing the power of friendship and love.

Ex-villains putting up walls and keeping to themselves until the heroes teach them what it means to trust someone.

Ex-villains messing up and being forgiven because redemption is a process, not an endgame.

Ex-villains being shy and uncertain about their new place as a hero.

Bonus: Ex-villains hiding behind their hero friends during moments of shyness and uncertainty.

Ex-villains being tempted back to the dark side only to realize how much their newfound friendships mean to them.

Ex-villains pretending to return to the dark side, and using their villain cred to be a mole/saboteur on the heroes’ behalf.

Ex-villains taking the same skills and character traits that made them effective villains and using them for good.

Ex-villains defeating current villains by being better at those skills and traits than they are.

Ex-villains being rejected by almost everyone except the very few willing to give them the benefit of the doubt.

Ex-villains being ferociously protective of those few.

Ex-villains convincing old allies and friends to follow them to the light side.

Ex-villains helping their hero friends through guilt and self-doubt by reminding them that your mistakes don’t make you and it’s never too late to turn things around.

Ex-villains receiving unconditional trust and affection from someone small and innocent, and having no idea what they’re supposed to do with that.

Ex-villains reuniting with heroic loved ones that they don’t have to fight against anymore.

Ex-villains looking around at their new friends and their new home and having to sit down and ride out a sudden wave of powerful emotion because they can’t remember the last time they felt content.
