Are there any specific weight gain media (old school tv shows/cartoons/gainer storis) that resonated or still resonate with you? For me it was the Say Cheese and Die Again Goosebump story
For sure. There are a lot, but a few from my youth that come to mind:
1. “The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh.” The titular bear plows through all of Rabbit’s honey, and gets so round he ends up stuck in the front door when he tries to leave.
2. “Chow Hound.” A dog bullies a cat & mouse into constantly bringing him meat, berating them each time because they’ve forgotten gravy. The short ends with the dog panting breathlessly from “the worst case of overeating [the vet has] ever seen” and being force-fed gravy as an act of revenge.
3. “Doug Tips the Scale.” Doug gets fat while staying with his grandparents over the summer, and freaks out when he’s invited to a pool party back home.
4. “Holiday for Drumsticks.” Daffy Duck cons a turkey out of the meals intended to fatten him up for Thanksgiving. The farmers decide having duck for dinner is just as good.
5. “Who’s Stupid Now?” A network executive decides to inject new excitement into The Ren & Stimpy Show by swapping the main roles, making Stimpy the “skinny jerk” and Ren the “fat idiot.”
6. “King Size Homer.” Homer intentionally gains 61 pounds so he can work from home on disability. You’ve all seen it. You all know the quotes. You all get it.
