Look who just woke up from their nap and is grumpy.
He claps along with the little seal girl, keeping a steady pace as she sings. Together, left, together, right— Do children really get entertainment out of something so simple? Fumus forbid he ever has any calves. Despite his somewhat calm exterior around Mafuyu, he really doesn’t like children. They’re annoying, bratty, and he simply can’t stand them. Even his niece is pushing it at her age of what, twelve? He’s lost count… Idate wiggles his fingers a tiny bit against her resting paws, watching her smiling face.
"Cute song. Want to play any more games?"
"Yeah, yeah!!" She was so excited now, jumping up from the ground as she continues to press her paws against his hands, giggling as she felt him wiggle his fingers a bit. Her lips are pressed tightly together as she thinks, and finally after a minute she shakes her head.
"I dunno what else to play!! How about you pick? I wanna know what kind of games Mr. Orca likes!"

She claps her paws together once again, pressing them against his hands like she did before, though this time sings as she does it.
"Patty cake, Patty cake baker's man, bake me a cake as fast as you can. Prick it and pat it and mark it with an "I", and put it in the oven for Idate and me!"
It was rare for her to say his name, but saying Mr. Orca for this song would just sound weird. When she was done she smiled and laughed, pressing her paws against his palms.

That little smile made her felt as if she had won one of the world’s greatest prizes. She was glad that she had somehow managed to calm the child’s worries, at least for a bit.
Her kind smile never left her face, her expression was soft as she gently picked up the flower closest to them, the water lily the baby seal was touching now was being offered to her.
"Yes they are, they’re one of my favorite flowers, too."
She looks at the little girl and tries not to frown, never seen anything like it? My, she must live quite far away…
"My name is Sin, what is yours dear? Also, aren’t there flowers where you live?"
She stared at the flower, before pressing both paws over the stem in order to hold it. She didn't want to stick her claws in the flower petals, or else that would ruin it! This was the best (and the only other) option.
"Well... where I'm from, there's just ice and snow and lots of water. But it's really nice and fun there! Sometimes I get to go sledding or play with all my friends!!"
Saying that, she looked down, saddened. Her friends... ah, how she really wished to get home and back to them. This place was so different and scary, and even though the lady was calming her, she really missed Rocma and the others.
