Virginia Woolf, The Years
Sometimes God brings us into the valley to help us see what we couldnât from the mountaintop.
It will all make sense one day. Keep praising â even if your voice shakes.
âDear Christians, the way we love our neighbor carries a lot more weight than how much scripture we can quote.â
â
âTo know what a person has done, and to know who a person is, are very different things.â
â Hannah Kent, Burial Rites (via books-n-quotes)
You donât have to love this season of life, but donât overlook it either. God doesnât need perfect conditions to create beauty and purpose.
âShe reads. She reads. She reads words of splendour to comfort her soul.â
â Leila Hussein
âThey say Jesus was a friend of sinners, but he didnât describe himself that way. His motto wasnât âeating and drinking with prostitutes and tax collectors.â Those were the labels used by the religious community, by the disapproving onlookers. Whatâs amazing about Jesus is that when he hung out with sinners, he didnât act like they were sinners. They werenât a âproject,â a âmission field.â They were his friends. People with names. Defined as beloved children of the Creator, not defined by their sins. Icons of Godâs image. His brothers and sisters.â
â Micah J Murray, Why I Canât Say âLove the Sinner/Hate the Sinâ Anymore
How unfair and selfish is it to want God to forgive you of everything youâve ever done and not want to show that same kind of forgiveness towards others?
be a woman who strives for purity and holiness and who loves and treasures Christ. be a woman who truly yearns and longs to encounter the glory of God and who seeks Him constantly; a woman who devotes her time to prayer and the Word. be a woman who is compassionate, kind, patient; and who extends love to everyone around her, because God has extended His love to her.
be a woman who truly and passionately loves the Lord, not just in words or tongue, but in action and in truth.
âA relationship with Jesus should absolutely change everything in your life: your attitude, habits, words, deeds, the way you view the world, the way you view yourself, the way you view others. It should change what you value and what you pursue; it should change you to your very core.â
â Danny Saavedra
âLet it go. Something beautiful wants to grow in its place.â
