What is a princess without her people?

I think this is a question Allura would often ask herself—is she still a princess after all of Altea was destroyed and her people were killed? She carries the burden of being both a princess and a soldier—it is her duty to protect her people, and she feels like she's failed.

But in reality, her people aren't all gone. Coran will always follow her, and she found her new people in the Paladins, who will always love and care for her as a person, not just a princess <3

enemies to lovers but its not "who did this to you?" but its "I did this to you" bc damn in the moment it felt necessary but the cuts weren't supposed to be that deep. the lashes should have faded by now, right? why are they still limping? make your characters self reflect. burden them with guilt and regret :) imagine laying in bed with the person you grew to love, only for them to roll over in their sleep and for you to see the nettled scars you inflicted on them

One pet peeve I have with voltron is how boring they made the alteans. Like why are they exatcly like humans but with pointy ears + crazy eye colors? And why is Allura (a TEN THOUSAND + ROYALTY + NATURAL QUINTESSENCE CONNECTED altean) exactly like Romelle (a 'modern' and common/normal altean)???? The only thing that make allura stand out from the normal alteans is the white hair bro which btw boring af. Why not give more differences between them? Like idk what if the modern alteans evolved to have smaller and/or slightly rounder ears? Or they're a bit shorter than the 'older' / royalty / magic alteans? Things like that...

TBH it was definitely a “palatablity” thing (which translates to boring loser fit-beauty-stereotypes writing) and while I do get the idea, I reallyyyy wish they had AT LEAST explored Allura looking more “magical” to set her apart. My queen deserved that love.
