Romeo stopped in his ministrations when he heard those words. “Choke you.” He smirked, pushing her hair back. “You sure you want to sin even more my dearest Juliet.” He teased. 

Romeo took off his cross before getting back on the bed with Juliet. “Tell me if I’m hurting you my dearest.”  He whispered as he began to wrap his hands around her neck. 

Romeo thrusted slower this time. Then he tigtened his grip, he began to thrust faster inside her. His grip was firm but never meant to hurt the most beauiful Juliet. Romeo smirked hearing the sound leaving her mouth.

Romeo scaled through the alley away from the guards. He wanted to see Juliet again so bad. He just had to. Romeo continued crawling through gateways and hopping over the trash cans. He smiled brightly when he say the cascade of Raven hair. 

Romeo smiled. “My dearest Juliet.” He whispered kissing her forehead. “It is so good to see my beatiful maiden.”

“I think it needs more pizazz.” he remarked as he took Tobias’ hat off his head. Romeo also took off his own cross. Romeo smiled at the other when he placed it on the lopsided snowman. 

“Viola!” He said with a smile. “Isn’t beautiful.”

     chaos unfolded so quickly, a dull party changing its colors in a glimpse- daeva couldn’t be more pleased. finally some fun, with people running around and a dead body in the middle. he only felt mildly upset that thanatos’ night had to be cut early, but he would do his best to make it up to him, although the famine wasn’t the culprit, or so he was sure. and as he met the eyes of someone across the floor, he thought, what better time to find a new prey? as promised to samael, he wouldn’t be killing this one, but he hadn’t mentioned about not having fun with someone new.

     wanting to fit in with the screams and panic around, daeva used a mask fit for the occasion. “i- i’m not sure. i think- i saw someone running away before everything unfolded — can you come with me to check it out?”

Romeo looked at the masked before sighing. He wasn’t exactly in the mood to help, but he had a feeling that if he didn’t he could regret. Finishing the glass in his hand, he faced the other. “Of course.” Romeo said with a half hearted smile. He was going to help, personal feelings Inside. 

He quietely followed along the other. Romeo was nervous for the victim but he wasn’t sure the stranger was either. Romeo let himself eexamine the other. “When did people start running?” Romeo couldn’t help but ask. But why but when.

Romeo let himself be alone as he took another swing of wine. It burned hid throat but not as much as his own heart. He knew he was in the middle of a disaster. But he couldn’t really care when Juliet words echoed in his head. The witch only barely make some eye contact with the new stranger in the room. 

“What the hell is going on?” Romeo asked aloud.

Juliet stuttered, trying to find the right words. Every possible outcome lead to her shutting her humanity off and just be rid of the pain from either side, from all sides, really. As much as love stung right now, the vampire started to lose control, started to seek shelter in blood and its warmth. “Romeo–” she started, but before saying anything she moved towards the balcony, weak and almost clumsily moving through the crowd. Finally, some quiet. “W-what do you want me to say, Romeo? I just can’t. I’ve spend centuries mourning after you. I saw you die in my arms, I exist with that reality of being responsible for your death. And now? I have lost someone else, someone whose name I won’t utter, someone who I’ve loved. My whole world’s just been thrown upside down and I–” the vampire kept on rambling “I’m starting to lose control, Romeo. The blood, all the blood– I am.. not her anymore.”

Romeo took several steps back in response. He couldn’t believe he was hearing. This was not how he pictured how this night would go. Romeo just wanted everything to be right. He looked away for a moment. 

 “Juliet...” Romeo started. Romeo remained silent in the moment. What else he could say. “I just want to be with you.” Romeo replied. He tried to take a step forward again. “Please Juliet- let us have a new start.” 

 It was hard to hear the choas when his own heart was shattering louder.

Romeo smiled. “I would love to dance, fair maiden.” He said taking her hand and taking her to the dance floor. “What dance does your heart desire?”

Juliet shook her head in both disbelief and sadness. “No, you don’t give yourself enough credit, Romeo.” How could someone like him not realize his own worth? How he’d always been someone Juliet looked up to? She was the monster, condemned to live, yet not live at all. “Woo me?” she remained close despite feeling the urge to let go and take a step back. “We’re married,” the vampire answered abruptly, then started to stutter “I must apologize. I just–” she took all of her courage and answered truthfully “I used to date someone else just days ago and now he’s gone and you are here again. Everything’s just so upside down and I don’t know if I’m ready for you yet. I love you, so, so much. But I am in hell right now.” The vampire failed to fully stop herself from crying. “Please, please, give me time.”

Romeo laughed in response. “I think I’m a decent man, but I can’t help but be most mischevious around you.” He was too enamoured with the vampire. Even if  he had yet to know the truth. The moment he heard those words though, it felt as if every thing shattered. He automatically took a step back. But seeing her cry, hewent back. Romeo gently grabbed her hand. “Juliett...” He cooed, taking her away from the dance floor.  Romeo grabbed his hankerchief and gestured to the door. “Can we talk about this outside?” He asked, trying to hide any of his own emotions. He knew now wasn’t the time to jump to conclusions.

“You do wrong your hand too much, Romeo,” Juliet murmured. She could clearly hear his heart flutter, beating in a faster rhythm after seeing her. Now she could truly tell how excited he was, how captivated. Her human self would’ve been on cloud nine, but her vampire self could already taste the iron on her tongue, could only smell the wolf still lingering in her hair. Yet, she still loved him, so her demons had to be quiet for now. She let herself be lead towards the more crowded part of the room. “We’re not enemies anymore,” the vampire pointed out “No need to worry about my dearest cousin Tybalt.” Juliet started to dance slowly.   

“Nay, I do myself wrong but you write over them” Romeo said with a smile. If he hadn’t been so blinded by his heartbeat, maybe he might have ensed something as wrong. But as in his previous lie, Romeo was a romantic that failed the see the smallest signs in front of him. Romeo smiled as he put his arms around her waist. “We were never enemies to begin with.” Romeo pointed out. “Only our families were.” He chuckled at the last statement. “So my only problem tonight is to woo you, no?” He asked with a wide smile. Romeo gently tghtened his grip as they danced slowly. It was his only mission tonight.

“No matter how many years past, I could still recognize you among thousands of masked men,” Juliet approached Romeo with a slight smile. She still wasn’t sure about the whole situation. What did he really think of her now? Now that she’d been a monster for so many years? “Romeo,” almost a whisper. She still adjusted to her new life, being rid of someone she loved, then suddenly seeing Romeo, who’d been dead for such a long time, alive, the one she loved as well. “We’ve been in a similar situation. Do you.. remember?” 

“And I can recognize you amoung the crowd of His ears perked hearing the loveliest of voices.” Romeo said as his ears perked. The sound of Juliet’s voice always made his heart flutter. Nothing really changed more than a curiousity. Was there something he was missing when he was gone. Romeo smiled. “Juliet.” He smiled. “Of course my love.” He whispered taking her hand, colder but still the same. “If I profane with my unworthiest hand.This holy shrine, the gentle fine is this.”
