Nasuca had been minding her own sitting on the edge of the cliff overlooking the water, legs swinging idly in the soft ocean breeze. Sitting there though the second generation Dragonslayer noticed a soft underlying scent in the air but for the most part she’d paid it no mind.

Hearing the voice coming from behind her though had Nasuca spinning quickly she gone slightly wide eyed seeing the male standing just feet away from her. “Y...you?” Honestly she hadn’t expected to see the other. Sure she’d heard about him from the others and still wasn’t sure how or if she’d ever meet him.

Starling paused when he head the voice behind him. He knew that voice from his years at Beacon and yet he’d never actually spoken to the other before this. Golden eyes glanced back over his shoulder and he stood surprised for a moment. So the voice really was coming from who he had thought it might.

Composing himself Starling turned completely around to look back at the other huntsman. “Oh, well... I tend to get that a lot.” He spoke almost nervously. The man he admired most out of all of Vale, no out of all of Remnant was talking to him and vaguely remembering him.

Exhausted from the searches, of hunting down Nivea’s ex and the source of why now the bastard started up again; Isaac couldn’t stay awake anymore. So he happily took Nivea’s advice as she led him to bed, cuddling next to her as his strong arms held her close. Even with her safe thanks Erebus and the Underworld keeping tabs on what went on in the shadows, he still held her close to him. 

Unlike Aisha, who was more of a human, Isaac was a beast at heart and he liked having his mate close not only should he need to react to any threat; but because her scent calmed him down. Ever since he took his hyena’s form to protect her from her ex, Isaac had found himself constantly watching her, getting distracted long enough that he had shocked himself by accident one time.

Settling down and taking a whiff of her scent, he relaxed. “I love you, Nivs. My Winter Sun.” he whispered before nodding off.

Nivea was finally happy, happy to have someone so protective of her. In a lot of ways early on Issac did remind her of her brothers. But as time passed the fox spirit found herself falling for him. Had she ignored everyone’s warnings about going near him in his hyena form things might have turned out quite differently.

With each passing moment Nivea felt more and more drawn to him even when she’d thrown herself at him. Even now as she helped him to bed, Nivea could feel the exhaustion emanating off of him.

Curling up in bed with Issac as he curled around her protectively she felt safe, far safer than she ever had before. Letting her fingers slip through his hair in a soothing manner she smiled contentedly. “And I you my beloved Storm.” Nivea whispered in return.

“That is fascinating truly. I haven’t seen such magic in all my years.” Sorin wouldn’t mention that he was the same, being a vampire that practiced sanguimancy, blood magic. Not to mention Necromancy. In truth, he despised the magic that was forced upon him. Sorin attempted to live a peaceful life, away from harming humans. He viewed this as his attempt to atone for the sins of his past.

As they walked along he continued to ponder Nasuca’s magic. Asking questions every now and then. “Can you tell me more about yourself? I get the feeling we will be working together for awhile.”

Nasuca made sure to tell him all that she could about her magic and even about a few of the other dragonslayers who had become a part of the guild before she’d arrived. She’d watch him from time to time to make sure she wasn’t completely boring him. And well she must not have been.

“Hmm about me?” Nasuca questioned finally glancing over at the other. “Well for starters, I don’t like fighting if I can avoid it” The dragonslayer offered honestly. “And well while I am a dragonslayer, my magic can be better used to heal someone rather than harm them. But I can also poison if need be.”
