Looking for something different for your tweens and teens this summer? I have five kids of my own so I know how tough it can be to keep them entertained over the summer months. Tweens and teens can be tough when it comes to summer enrichment opportunities. They’re too old for many summer programs, and their attention span and ennui makes finding something interesting and engaging particularly difficult. What about

Yo did you miss your Hogwarts letter?  Wanna go to wizard school?

If you’re 11-17 (rising 6th-12th grade), you should check out Magischola Prep!  It’s a week-long summer camp where you get to act out the life of a young mage at magic school, complete with wands, sorting, houses (called “courts” at this school), crazy professors, and all manner of magical beasts.  You get to live with your house, eat meals in a great hall, go to magical classes, and maybe even sneak off into the forbidden forest.  Check it out at https://magischolaprep.com/

It’s by the same people who run New World Magischola, if you’ve heard of that, and oh my goodness the world building makes me want to cry tears of joy.  

It’s also held at Swarthmore College this summer, which seriously looks like a magic school.  There’s a giant amphitheater in the woods that looks like fairies were just there a second ago

A huge belltower that feels like you could do an illicit dragon trade there at midnight

And a courtyard where I can just see a wizard duel happening

Seriously those of you who are 11-17, I am jelly, I wish I could be a camper here.  If you, like me, are feeling elderly at age 21, please pass this on to anyone you know who might have their dreams come true at this camp!

After a decade of closure (following the tragic incident of 2007), the Providence Preparatory Academy for the Advancement of Arcane Arts (P2A4) is re-opening its summer program for 2017! Witches and wizards from across the Magimundi are invited to spend a week on P2A4's beautiful campus, learning from each other and from P2A4’s esteemed faculty. Students will take Magischola-prep classes in alchemy, rune lore, divination, magical history, healing, and more, while having plenty of time to join in clubs and extracurricular electives. For the week, each student will join one of P2A4's four Courts, and earn points as the Courts compete to win the Providence Cup. We expect students to attend from all the American Primascholae--Magnolia Sun, Lewis & Clark, Great Plains, Flower Mountain, and of course students who attend P2A4 throughout the rest of the year. Homeschool students and those from abroad (Balt Meddin, Avalon, Stenøya Akademiet, and so on) are of course also welcome at the
