After much deliberation, we have made the decision to delay the schedule for this zine.
The zine will now be releasing on Dipper & Mabel's birthday next year, in 2027, rather than this year!
Here are the new dates for the submission deadline and the planned release date for the zine:
Submissions Deadline:
August 10th, 2026 -> June 30th, 2027
Zine Release Date:
August 31st, 2026 -> August 31st, 2027
Additionally: The maximum limit on submissions is being increased from 2 to 3 per contributor!
This project is NOT cancelled! We are very determined to see this through to the end, and that is exactly why we have to delay the schedule. This project was originally conceived on short notice, and it has become unfortunately clear that we simply need more time in order to be able to make this zine as good as it deserves to be. Dipper and Mabel deserve an awesome zine focused on them, and delivering on this goal is still our core commitment and the driving heart of this entire project.
Additionally, we are aware of many zine projects in the Gravity Falls community that have made our original schedule difficult if not impossible for various creatives to be able to reasonably participate in on such a short notice.
We hope that our delay will help allow more people who are interested to be able to join, and we hope that you continue to support us and your fellow contributors every step of the way! Thank you SO MUCH to everyone who has sent in submissions already, and thank you to everyone who has supported us or expressed interest in us!
If you have previously sent us submissions, you are completely welcome to submit a new Submission Form(s) to us at any time if you have new contributions you would like to add, or if you want to change any of the preferred credit information that we have for you. Right now, all of our contributors have agreed to being displayed on the Team page on our Carrd, so if you don't remember what information you may have given us before, you can check there (or in your past email confirmation for filling out the form)!
If our existing contributors do not want to wait until halfway through 2027 to be able to publicly share the pieces they have already submitted to us, then we completely understand, and we are really sorry about the drastic change in schedule. If you want to post them, we simply ask that you tag the social media account for the zine if possible (we on Twitter/Tumblr/Bluesky), since we would love to share them! You will still be included in the zine, of course! Otherwise, we are hoping for contributors to continue to uphold the guideline about only posting previews until after the zine has released.
We are sorry for the change in schedule. One year is a long, long time, but it will be for the better in the end. We will schedule reblogs/retweets/etc of our pinned Submissions Open post through December, and then beginning in January we intend to start making new posts with new illustrations of Dipper and Mabel again, driving hype for the zine for 2027. We hope to hear from you all in the future, and we hope that everyone had a lovely Summerween this year!
