The Infernal Devices Book One: Clockwork Angel ( by Cassandra Clare) This book had me on the edge of my seat like nothing else! I indulged in the thought of the gorgeously described danger, the gowns, and the taboo of the main character and two parabati. I loved the connections to the other books of the shadow world that Clare has written. The setting in old world England had me thinking I was born in the wrong time period! Your imagination can soar to new heights with the with the things that this woman has thought up! Although that being said, I would like to say that I love Cassandra Clare's beautiful ideas of the shadow world, but her writing is a bit juvenile. The copy of the book that I had purchased had something wrong with it. The pages near the end were all scambled, cause reading it to be slightly difficult. Manufacturer issue? I'm not sure. BUT! On the Magniloquent Unicorns Scale I would give this book a 7 out of 10. The next review will be posted tomorrow! :-*

The Book Thief (Markus Zusak) The kind of books about war and the Holocaust are very interesting to me. Unfortunately, the beginning of this book was not what at all what I had built it up to be. But I prevailed! I finished it and gradually it got AMAZING! I balled my eyes out, and I'm proud of it. The writing was impecable! The way that Zusak described Liesel and the way that she felt and her hope and her love was everything that I had imagined. I am very happy with this book. I would give this book a 7 out of 10 on the Magniloquent Unicorn Scale, Next review will be posted tomorrow! :-*

Pride and Prejudice (Theatrical Production at Red Deer College)

The first thing I would like to say is that before the show started I was sitting in my seat with all my friends and I was so excited that I was almost in tears. That being said, it completely lived up to all of my expectation. Of course there was the odd mess up of lines and some fumbling, but for a college production it was magnificent! The woman who played the main character was exactly who Elizabeth was supposed to look like. It was like I was breathing for the first time. The set was beautifully hand painted, the costumes were easily interchangable. AND THAT KISS! WOW! I hope to be kissed by someone that passionately some day! Without a doubt I would suggest going to see this play to anyone who loves old english speech and setting. I would like to congratulate the cast and anyone who worked on th is to make it such a success. I would give this a 8 out of 10 on the Magniloquent Unicorn Scale, the next review will be posted tomorrow! :-*
