★ - About

I am on a mission to draw all Warrior Cats characters and as such, I created a separate blog to store all my designs, seeing as there's simply too many of them!

◆ - Design Choices

I design these cats with possible animations and PMVs in mind, so they are often simplified and have a small number of colors/markings to them. This isn't a rule that is set in stone, but I try to follow it whenever I can.

On that same note, I try to make my designs as close to canonical artwork as possible, while putting my own spin on it. There is no real reason for this other than I like it that way!

◇ - Design Order...

I am following the order of book releases as well as which cats appear first. This means that once I finish all named cats in Into The Wild, I will proceed and draw the cats that appear in Fire and Ice and so on.

If you have a cat you want me to draw, send me an ask! I will disregard the chronological order to draw the cats you want me to :)

The "lost kits", unnamed characters or characters that were named only AFTER the books released are not exactly on my priority list when it comes to designing these cats. I will draw them once I am finished or if someone asks me to!

Tawnypelt! I never really cared for her in the original books - but i did find her changing to ShadowClan interesting. She was fun during the second arc, especially because she was the most level headed in the group (in my opinion!)

I always imagined her as a copy of her mother, but turns out she is black, orange and white? Strange! She also has green eyes, apparently? I guess it makes sense since Pinestar and Leopardfoot (her grandparents) have green eyes, but I still find it strange. So I made her eyes amber.

I color picked from my Goldenflower design to keep her as far from Tigerstar as possible - but I still gave her sharp features. Where her mother has sharp edges but rounded fur, Tawnypelt looks less inviting, with a very triangular face-shape, just like my Tigerstar.

And again, as I made this design with a possible MAP in mind, she is very, very simplified to make animating easier.

Goldenflower! I've loved her lots ever since I was a child. I was always in awe every time she was mentioned PURELY because her name is genuinely so beautiful. I am so very sad the authors simply... forgot about her. Tawnypelt never spoke to her mother abt her feelings, Brambleclaw went through his emo arc abt not having a family despite the fact that both his mother and sister were still alive... And she is such a fierce character, too!

As for her design, I started working on her purely because I'm working on a Tawnypelt/Goldenflower MAP and need designs for it!

I took heavy inspiration from the graphic novel design (because, in my opinion, the artists PEAKED with her design!) but also took some shapes from the WCAnimated Goldenflower.

Leafpool! I feel that when you read TNP, you either get super attached to Leafpool, OR you get super attached to Squirrelflight. Nowadays, Squirrelflight is my favorite, but I used to be SUPER attached to Leafpool purely because the fandom seemed to hate her at the time.

As for her design, I didn't know whether to go down the chubby/fluffy Leafpool route or the sleek Leafpool route that is shown in canon. I ended up doing a little bit of both, with some chest fluff and a thin tail.

I also tried to make her shade of brown as light as possible to match my Sandstorm design :)

Disappeared because I had to buy a whole new computer :') Here's to hoping this one lasts.

About Hawkfrost.. I really like him. I'm not too deep into TNP yet, but the few appearances he made are truly chilling.

I know I said I'd draw only TPB characters first, but I'm REALLY into Hawkleaf, so... maybe I'll draw her next :)

I wanted to make Hawkfrost a very cold shade of brown, and make him pale to resemble his mother. You can't see it too clearly since he is on front-view, but I intended him to be a long-nosed cat.

The menace himself! No other villain has impacted the series as much as Tigerstar, I feel. Not only is he remembered by the fandom, but by the cast as well. Iconic! I tried not to over-design him, but it's difficult NOT to give Tigerstar a BUNCH of stripes! For the sake of my sanity and wrist health, I decided to make a simplified design for future animations and MAPs! I'm not sure if I'll ever host one, but if I or anyone else does, the simplified version will keep your animators alive!

I'll forever be deeply attached to Whitestorm. He is an incredible dad figure to Fireheart, and I love how he helped Fireheart give out orders and adapt to his role as deputy. He died too quickly.

Sandstorm is one of the few characters I had a strong image in my head while reading, and it stuck with me even as I grew older. This punk-looking and sharp she-cat that always managed to stay elegant despite how fast she ran.

I checked the wiki and apparently she's not related to anyone anymore? My beloved just spawned in and that's okay. This just gives me a lot more creative liberty!

Perhaps I should have waited a bit longer to post them all together at the same time. But alas, what's done is done!

I was told that his mane looked kinda off, but I wanted to show just how much Rusty grew. Once he became Firepaw, his fur became more wild and he earned a small brow scar from his fight with Longtail.

As he got older and became Fireheart, his chest fur grew into a flame-like mane and he got an ear nick from Tigerclaw right before his exile.

I wanted to make an "elder" Firestar design, but I don't think he would be any different. Just some grays around his muzzle and fur, but still as strong as ever!

Originally color picked from the brazilian cover, but I was told he was too red and not orange enough. So, I changed him.
