Sorry it's been like, years since I posted/updated anything I graduated college like two months ago and the current job market sure is

First "Love"

The second of two poems I wrote from Kuroto's POV about Emu for a college class.

Dear Mother,

For the first time in my life,

I think I'm in love.

Although the first time we "spoke"

was so very long ago, sixteen years,

and the first time I saw Him was six years ago.

We first properly met some months ago.

He's a doctor, well, a medical intern

But He's planning on becoming a pediatrician. 

It fits Him well, if He were a woman

I'm certain He would be an ideal mother. 

He looks at me with such bright eyes

and a smile like the sun's warmth.

His laughter is the church's bells.

Though, I do somewhat hate His laugh

He's never once laughed for me.

It's only ever with that man the church bells ring.

Well, I do have a bit of a plan in mind

so that I may finally be the one to ring the bells,

but, that will require some time and secrecy.

If you don't mind, Mother.

It will likely be some time before I can introduce you to Him proper,

I need to court Him first, after all,

but I think you would be fond of Him, too.

Now, I must go take care of,

a certain obstacle in the way of my love. 

With love, 

your beloved son.

Ouroboros

The first of two poems that I like, wrote from Kuroto's POV about Emu for a poetry class I'm being forced to take for my major

You are so many things to me all at once.

I long for you, I detest you so,

You are the reason I am like this,

I am the one who molded who you are.

You wish for my true smile, I thrive from your despair

My Adam, my Virgin Mother Mary.

How I still desire your crystal; your heart

To take it into my bare hands and

crush it into dust, shatter you so that

you can never be the pure “you” you once were.

Although, I cannot determine how to do so.

How do I want to see that light fade from your eyes?

Do I want your blood on my hands?

Do I want you entangled in my sheets?

The more I question it, the more the lines blur.

No matter what, it will make you truly “mine.”

A nemesis, an ally; never a friend.

You cried for me the first time I died.

Despite everything I had done to you.

I know you don’t forgive me, nor am I asking for such.

The snake shall continue to swallow its own tail.
