So… this a Steven Universe AU that I’ve had in the back of my mind for a good long while now.

It’s dark and angsty and I’m a bit worried because of the subject matter (even though I’ve seen another comic that was similar many years ago)

So trigger warning: this is about a miscarriage.

The events of SU remain unchanged except Rose has to deal with it with the actual help and support of Greg. Basically an AU that’s an excuse to do a deep dive into the characters of SU.

I also quite enjoy the thought of her hallucinating Grace whenever she gets a moment to let her guard down.

Thinking that he’s still there, following her every move. That she’ll see him if she just turned fast enough. His eyes piercing into her soul because she killed him. She fucking killed him.

And though a tiny bit of her wishes not to, she will do it all again for the survival of humanity.

The nuking of the poles, the scrutiny of every country, the death of millions will always win against the death of the few. She had to do it. She had to.
