Em Dashes (—)

To emphasize a shift / action / thought.

They're accusing us—actually accusing us—of using AI.

To add drama.

They dismissed our skills as AI—didn't even think twice, the dimwits—and believed they were onto something.

To insert a sudden thought. Surely they wouldn't do that to us—would they?

To interrupt someone's speech. "Hey, please don't say that. I honed my craft through years of blood and tears—" "Shut up, prompter."

To interrupt someone's thoughts / insert a sudden event.

Semi Colons ( ; )

To join two closely related independent sentences / connect ideas.

Exile's Fall Release

Yes, you are reading that correctly, I return after being quiet for a while to bring a visual novel that you can play!

The game itself is short and was created as part of a portfolio project class for my creative writing degree, speaking of which...

I will graduate this Friday!

As a result, I'm excited to announce that you'll be getting more consistent Luctine content as I'll be able to focus on my larger projects without having to balance schoolwork alongside my job. I'm excited to take more time to work with Ren'Py to make an even better project in the future.

Bonus Content

Another related project to Exile's Fall was a short multimedia project that was meant to promote the game. Here you'll find some content that takes place before the game occurs and can be seen as prequel content if you wish. This was mainly done as a conceptual project, as at the time, I wasn't entirely sure the project would have reached completion. Check out the content of that on its own blog.

Have you ever had an idea and had to start on it immediately? Well, this was me when it came to this UI design for a VN project I'm working on for class.

Made different looks for each of the characters in this project as well.

Started to work on seeing how I'd want to do other character art for this. Starting with one of the first characters you meet, Silver Silver Seeker A'tiri.

I had a lot of fun coming up with her design and I'm always excited to come up with more azari designs for my world.

Here's a little mock-up with one of Ellis' side pictures as well. I think it's all starting to have a cohesive look, now I just need to figure out a style for backgrounds and I'll feel a lot better about this whole process.
