anyone ever notice that the ic (and by extension a good chunk of the fandom) tends to hate on the most personal but the most harmless (the likelihood of Nesta and Tamlin actually moving to murder all of them is low) people in the perspectives of the ic?

I'm pretty sure Amarantha has killed more people, has made more fae suffer, has caused so much harm. Likewise, the king of Hybern. Are we sure that Tamlin and Nesta are the scum of the earth like the fandom makes them out to be???

being a fan of Stormlight Archive, how do you feel about the possibility of Feysand becoming High King and High Queen?

also, side note: the morals in most Epic Fantasy books and Romantasy books (that I have read, mind you) are vastly different. Unfortunately (or fortunately idk), I grew up on Epic Fantasy and Fantasy, which means my heroes are of the likes of Dalinar and Navani.

In essence, might be biased take, might not, idk.

In my early days of tumblr (genuinely acting like that wasn't just 3-4 years ago) I was in the whump community ('was', like it's in the past, it's not).

I'm pretty sure there's a trope somewhere in there regarding whumper getting caretaker and hurting them in whumpee's place while whumpee watches because whumper knows how much it would hurt whumpee.

Now how this relates to Amarantha, Tamlin, and Tamlin's impassiveness UTM and why I tagged them in the first place is up to your interpretation.

Gave in and decided to write a crossover fic, would pulling up to the High lords' meeting covered in the blood and guts of your enemies be disrespectful? And would Tamlin (and consequently, Kaladin, Dalinar, Jasnah, and Hoid) give a damn?

Also, would it delay Hybern if their men kept dropping dead with 0 mark of wounds and only burnt out eyes when their trekking through Spring's woods?

ACOTAR, in a different perspective, is Tamlin's hero journey or villain backstory. Hell, he could have chosen to be a villain, could have chosen to withhold his intelligence on Hybern, so many things that he could have done in retribution yet didn’t. If the narrative wasn't so biased, that right there—the destruction of his court and the choice to join Hybern—would be his Temptation where, more often than not, someone with virtue wouldn't have fallen for it.
