Where am I?!

Hey, I know no one’s probably noticed, but I’ve sort of disappeared. Haven’t posted in a long while since I haven’t really sketched in a long while. I don’t know, at first there was just sort of a little artist’s block, couldn’t figure out what to try, and I was trying to force myself to keep it up with no results. There were even some slight ideas, but I couldn’t bring myself to try to put them down on paper. I’ve been busy with work, which I love more than anything, but that’s a constant. Normally I’d try to draw on breaks, but I haven’t actually pulled out my sketchbook in far too long. I’ve gotten into some new podcasts as well as keeping up with what I already follow, so I hope it might help keep creative juices flowing. However, I do have those thoughts barge in saying that I shouldn’t bother since I’ve been out of practice for this long. It’s dumb, but here I am with nothing to show. Anyway, sorry I’ve been gone. I hope I can push myself to get back into the swing of things

I knew it! Ok, so maybe they were not the only help, but it's still an awesome image to think about! It still happened, and they deserve the finest of treats and attention

"Gosh Minnie, isn't this fun?" "Oh Mickey, I just love a parade!" I do love the mice, and Festival of Fantasy, and they can be so sweet up in that balloon. Some days they can barely tear themselves away from the other!

Although Celebrate the Season is no more, it is still a very special show to me. Of course I had to show Minnie caroling one last time in that gorgeous dickens dress

So, there were a couple of days where I needed to wear a bandaid on my nose to help a scuff heal quickly since I have to wear makeup at work. My brother and I would joke about how that look's a bit of a trope and even painted it to look a bit cartoony one day. Anyway, one of the little characters we came up with was a roller derby girl, so that gave me an excuse to try something out. Perspective and proportion's off, but still fun!

I wanted to work on Captain Lovelace, but I don't think I've got her down quite yet. To be honest though, I should probably keep working on the whole crew, new and old. They're all still in early stages of me getting comfortable playing around with them

Why DID the chicken cross the road?

Alice Isn't Dead spoilers ahead. you have been warned. I honestly haven't given it more thought than the spark that hit me as I was listening to the recent chapter, but I have a wild theory about the "Why did the chicken cross the road?" endings. Take it all with a grain of salt since I haven't looked much into it and have only heard each episode once as it came out. What if Alice is the chicken? What if these answers are more insight into why she did what she did? Are the answers to the question more messages she left for our Narrator?Is she calling herself a coward (chicken) that knew/saw things she couldn't return home (one side of the road) from? The chicken seems to always be referred to as female and was I the only one who imagined something along the lines of the Eiffel Tower during the "Imagine a spire. No, bigger."? Forgive me if it sounds dumb, but I need to relisten to all the answers we have so far... Thoughts listeners?

One more Wolf 359 sketch for the night! Again, the lighting kinda lost some shading, so Minkowski looks as white as Eiffel

Quickly jotting down ideas for the crew’s variation in how they wear their uniforms, different silhouettes and eyes/eyebrows, but the men are off. Getting to try some different things is fun, especially when trying to keep their designs diverse and unique to themselves. Left to right is Minkowski, Eiffel, Lovelace, and Hilbert

Minkowski’s a tall Amazon, Eiffle’s pretty average and broader than I’m used to (didn’t quite hit the mark here), I always imagined Lovelace as petite, and Hilbert was supposed to be a bit more imposing and rigid (don’t have a solid enough idea for his design quite yet but I do like the eyes)

Some other podcast lovers I follow had been mentioning Wolf 359, so I thought I'd check out the recommendation. Timing was perfect since I had gotten sick and could marathon to catch up, and I absolutely love it! First attempt of Communications Officer Doug Eiffel, I forget which episode I was listening to at the time, but I know it was way early on, season one

Again I was inspired by a random old vintage photo as a reference and the desire to give Sadistic a sword…

Our lovely Doyles, blushing and saucy. I randomly came across a picture of a lovely gown and instantly knew I had to put Sadie in it.

Note, a lot of shading in this group of pictures doesn’t show up as well as in person. Example in this particular instance, Frank’s added blush is not as noticeable and Sadie's kneecap has apparently vanished.

As promised, I cleaned up the Narrator a bit! Excited for the next chapter tomorrow, much like those derpy little lizards underneath Note, a lot of shading in this group of pictures doesn't show up as well as in person. Example in this particular instance, her skin got a lot lighter than intended.
