Ok so here’s the thing

I try my best to stay away from 18+ content in general, especially g/t, since it is a huge comfort for me in a very strictly sfw way. I’m a minor, so that’s a pretty healthy standpoint I believe.

But, inevitably, I accidentally stumbled across nsfw or suggestive content regarding g/t. And usually it’s a simple block and scroll situation, people can like what they like- and while it isn’t very awesome to have your content not censored or age restricted, I understand that people can forget to do so, and it’s kinda just the nature of the internet. The thing that bugs me though, is people saying FLAT OUT that G/T is inherently sexual in the community. It’s fucking gross, and I’ve seen many people over the years claim so, despite the fact that the G/T community has lots of minors in it.

It’s genuinely made me consider not tagging my work as g/t, but I’ve ultimately decided (at least for now unless I see an uptick in posts like that) I’m going to continue marking my content as g/t. The people who believe it is inherently sexual are definitely a minority in the community, so unless that changes I’m chill.

Tumblr is 12+, and I am of the PERSONAL belief that accounts should mark their content appropriately or at least have it put in their bio. They don’t necessarily have to, but it’s still disgusting to not do so. If you’re a minor it’s on you or your guardians to put restrictions on the device, but in an era that undoubtedly has the internet as a main social tool, I feel like minors deserve to either be given more spaces for them, shielded from the nsfw content on apps that encourage you to do so or promote themselves as a space where minors can be, or laws/social norms need to be put in place to decrease the inherent need for social media if teenagers want a chance at having friends or interests. The blame isn’t entirely on the people, it’s also heavily on tumblr moderation, but I’m just honestly frustrated. And needed to rant.

This post isn’t made to shame people, you can like whatever you like, but please- Do not say that g/t is inherently inappropriate, because it isn’t, and it’s gross to believe or preach so when minors are pretty involved with the community. There is size difference vocab that does inherently suggest explicit material (micro/macro being the main one I believe), g/t is not one of them.

Also, sfw paged adults you are still allowed here!!! I appreciate and respect you all! Just be a decent human being <3

This has been addressed multiple times, but even then it's still important, especially as a minor of the community. G/T is commonly assumed as strictly NSFW mostly due to the early contributors in the beginning being primarily of sexual or fetishizing nature (this is also another reason why there is a lack of giantess content within the community).

However, in regards to tagging, I feel maybe there should be a guide made for certain terms since the community is also full of non-native English speakers who can often get them confused. I remember I didn't know the difference between macro/micro and giant/tiny when I first came to Tumblr!

An Archive of Our Own, a project of the Organization for Transformative Works

Ryland Grace is the sole survivor on a mission he doesn't remember volunteering for. Alone on a ship scaled far too large for a borrower, he has to try to figure out why he's so far from home, and what he's supposed to do. On top of that, he needs to figure out why this mission is so prepared to have a borrower on the crew-standing at only six inches tall, it's easy to think none of this was meant for him. And yet, everywhere he looks he finds evidence that whoever built this ship built it with both humans and borrowers in mind.

An impossible task looms over him. A scientific mystery has somehow sent him hurtling through space, impossibly far from any other human or borrower, and it's on him to surpass an extinction-level threat that doesn't care how big someone is. It will end the world all the same if he doesn't do something about it.

But, despite what he thinks, he's not alone.

How did someone make medical equipment that could fit me so well? How did they know? I am decently tall for a borrower, but I'm still a borrower. This isn't some kid's play doctor kit, that's for sure. My heart pounds and the voice from before says something, and I realize there's no one nearby that I can see. But then there's motion from above. I don't even parse what it is at first until I realize a pair of metallic arms is descending towards me like I'm the last prize in a claw machine. I want to scream but I could barely murmur out some numbers before, so all I can do is feel a burst of terror like fireworks in my otherwise numb and tired body as the monster robot gets me. I don't know why I expected it to tear me apart. Maybe living one's life topping out at six inches tall just conditions you to believe anything that size will be deadly. But the arms are alarmingly gentle as they peel away the stickers and slowly pull the tubes from my arms and legs. I realize belatedly that something must have been feeding me a numbing agent, because otherwise I feel like that would have hurt a heck of a lot more than it did. I just lie there, frozen, while the machine does its work and hope I don't get caught up in a stray gear or something. So big machines make me a little nervous. That seems reasonable.

-When, despite the difference, the characters try to get along with each other and adjust to each other, showing their respect and awareness in order to trust a giant or take responsibility for such a tiny life.Or vice versa, when a relationship develops terribly at first, but after a while the giant and the tiny one get to know each other much better, breaking down every barrier in their path.I love it when, despite so many barriers in G/t and perhaps even more than those related to growth, characters try to overcome them in order to understand each other, to become closer, because despite all this, love for each other is born in them.As individuals to individuals, not necessarily romantically

Actually, I prefer the original stories of the little authors on Tumblr(Or it doesn't matter where), you know..well, they are much more beautiful than most G/t media, because big projects have gone through a lot of uninterested hands, it's not bad, it's just a fact.And the little G/ t stories, even if they are sometimes clumsy, unpolished, they do not have a normal structure, but they are real, sincere, somehow they still catch on despite the fact that the author is an amateur and not a professional.I'm not trying to say that big projects are not like that and do not reflect the author, or even more so because there is so much work involved in them, of course, what nonsense, it's just that there are very few good stories for the mass consumer created by people who burning with this story, if you put it all together.

- Honestly, all my life. Or like from the age 1 or something. When i was at the daycare, and had a fairy imaginary friend and giants always excited me.

- i love to see more of how a normal sized relationship dynamic changes after one of the lovers suddenly shrinks.

- i mean... i like borrowers, and i understand why people like borrowers but i would love to see something different. I feel like the trope has gotten a bit too... classic? Something fresh would be nice. In my opinion! Do whatever that makes you happy, that's just me.

- around 1:30. Big enough for the giant to see the tiny's face and read their expressions, hear their voice and touch them without hurting them if they're careful enough but small enough to be covered by their fist and for everything else to be overwhelming.

- also arietty and the iron giant! As the book i love Gulliver's travels and as the series i adore george shrinks! And i also think epic 2013 is highly underrated

- I'm currently trying to finish my comic the linden and blue spruce! I dream of actually improving it as i grow and finally make it into a movie. I also might start a new story as a side project, of an old but beginner oc Aspen (a young forest spirit, giant ofc) orrrr of a possible pair of spiritual ocs. Might happen!

- i mean... I'm not in many fandoms aside from my audio obsession so I'll take anything I can.

Lmao I got into drawing more Avatar Laurent + Gabriel AU

Avatar-related ramble below for all my Avatar heads I'm sorry to everyone who hasn't seen the movies and prob has zero idea what's going on here lmao

I was trying to figure out why Gabriel would be on Pandora bc I don't think he would ever be involved with any military / government organization like the RDA or something, but then I remember Alpha Centauri Expeditions existed lmao.. so it makes a little bit more sense for him to be a part of that. Like maybe he was contracted to do some trail marking or something but he is lowkey a bit of a stubborn idiot and then gets lost in the forest.

He thinks he sees a woodsprite and thinks he's headed back in the right direction, but it ends up being Laurent (his na'vi name is a WIP bc I'm bad at English linguistics so i doubt I can do na'vi linguistics to give him a name lmfao (maybe Gabriel will give him a nickname since he probably doesn't know the na'vi language very well)).

This tribe of na'vi are basically the equivalent of will o wisps, (supposedly) they use pieces of the woodsprite and lure travelers away who mistake them as signs from Ewya. their wings help with this disguise but they aren't very functional, as seen by Laurent who gets separated from everyone else and just slams into Gabriel's mask after being picked up by a stray breeze or something lmao.

I'm think that this tribe of Na'vi are super secluded and rarely come into contact with most tribes, much less humans, but they are still aware of the sky people's existence even if they don't exactly know what that even means.

Luckily Gabriel isn't a bad guy, he's just confused if he accidentally "discovered" an unknown Na'vi tribe and is caught off guard by their tiny size, especially since he's so used to the idea of 8-10' tall na'vi. Laurent is very delicate and kinda has no way to escape from Gabriel unless a convenient wind comes by and picks him up lmao, he's also a bit frightened never having seen a human or other na'vi tribe before

There's probably a language barrier between them so Gabriel horribly charades that he needs to find his way back to his base, which Laurent doesn't entirely understand, since he just wants to find his tribe again. And yeah thus ensues the silly and goofy adventures on Pandora
