I got this beautiful notebook from a company called Paperblanks to use as a witch journal the other day. It was a tough choice they have so many nice designs I want to buy them all 😅 (even the side of the paper is printed 💖)
When I was a teenager there was a time I felt strongly about being and becoming a witch, but at the time due to limited access to information (often very outdated too) I had many misconceptions about it, I was led to believe that not anyone can be a witch, you need to born with magical powers and follow certain rituals and practice black magic. Of course I’ve been told many times that since no one has magical powers in real life it’s just a silly fantasy and above all it’s a bad or forbidden thing. So it was something I thought I could never pursue.
And then I recently realised that I had always been a witch at heart, I always felt drawn to nature, herbs, the moon, the sun and cooking as in “kitchen alchemy”. It’s never been about magic in the fantastical sense at all, it’s about finding strength in and feel empowered by things around us. The most important thing I learned is that there isn’t one true way to pursue the path and that it’s entirely up to me how I want to form my own path and what bits I want to follow. This has been a revelation to me that freed me of all misconceptions and fears holding me back up until now.
Btw thanks for all your kind reactions, reblogs and comments so far, I opened this blog to write down random thoughts I’ve been unable to discuss with anyone (as I’m a big nerdy loner), so it feels nice that there are people out there interested in my blabbering ☺️
