I've been lurking here and there for quite some time, but I thought it'd be fun to finally say hello. Running people around in circles can only entertain for so long after all!
You may call me Ben. I use he/him pronouns, since that seems to be something you all care about?
My age is a fickle thing, especially after so long. But generally you can assume I'm somewhere in my late teens to early 20's.
My main interest is obviously Zelda, and while my favorite games are Ocarina of Time and Majora's mask, I've been making my way through the rest of the collection. Currently I'm playing Minish Cap.
I also enjoy horses, old digital technology (especially computers and game consoles), and I've been exploring video games in general.
Finally, I am a faithful Moon Child and follower of our goddess Luna. I was the youngest in my congregation to ascend, and it's by Her grace alone that I exist the way I do.
Please feel free to send me asks or reblog my posts to say hello. Recommend gamws, show me things I may find interesting, or ask me about my faith if you're interested. I'm always happy to engage prospective disciples or people who are simply curious.
As a final note some of my posts may include codes, cryptic text, and other such things. If you are struggling to read or understand them or face any other accessibility concerns on my page, please message me and I will do my best to assist. The game is no fun if not everyone can play, after all.
[OOC info, character docs, and possible TW's under the cut]
The whole ‘being dead’ thing has complicated most things for him, but here are some fairly consistent facts. Legal name: Ben Proteus Lawman

I welcome any and all types of blogs to interact here. You don't have to be a canon character, creepypasta based, or even a rp blog! My roleplay style is generally semi-lit in one on one rp, and the blog is generally written like an actual tumblr blog.
Hello hello! This is the Mun of the blog, and I welcome you. You may call me Chalk or Clover! I am 19 and use they/he/it pronouns. I operate in EST! My main blog is @meshiitsukaii and my messages are always open for concerns, questions, or ideas for roleplay!
Some Muse info that may be relevant:
My Ben is a mix of the "original" BEN_DROWNED from back in ye olden days of creepypasta and the Ben from the ARG. The ARGs lore has been mixed a bit and altered, so expect some things to be quite different.
Ben is a digital poltergeist, able to possess most electrical and digital spaces and move through them. The internet is like a playground for him, a place he can move through and interact with with ease.
Ben is best described as an age-slider. While some ghosts remain static and non-changing, often stuck in the same state, Ben is able to grow and change in many ways due to the nature of his ascension. This includes him having aged somewhat since the end of the events of the ARG and being freed from his statue form. But while he's grown some it's not a 1-1 of years passing, and he still will regress to younger forms/states of mind in certain situations, moods, or just because. This can be taken a bit like IRL age regression, but it isn't quite the same.
Possible TWs:
I will do my best to tag any and all needed TW, but please tell me if I miss something or you see something that you feel needs tagging.
Cults, religion, and religious trauma is possibly the biggest warning here. Ben was born and raised in an isolated community, and is still deep in the indoctrination. This will be something he unlearns and grows past, but as for now it is a large part of him.
Indoctrination, isolation, brainwashing and manipulation, cognitive dissonance
Apocalyptic thinking/doomsday cult, unhealthy magical thinking, end of the world scenarios
Ritualized suicide/murder (Ascension)
All of these things are often hidden in flowery language, but will be tagged nonetheless.
There's jimsonweed (datura stramonium), moonflower (ipomoea alba), and white lilies (lilium candidum) are what come to mind first. But basically any night blooming flower counted, especially white ones.
I wonder. What determines what time of day a flower blooms, exactly?
[!] Character document and relationshios document have been added to your intro post!
The character document is still in the 'early' stages, as Mun has. Very little experience with them. They're not the prettiest things, but I did put my whole heart into them!
The relatioship doc also goes into relevant lore, and changes from the original source. I basically blacked out and came back to life with an essay written lol (/j)
As always, if you have any accessibility concerns about the docs and need some assistance just shoot this blog or my main blog @meshiitsukaii a message!
Well hello Miss Piper. Welcome back to the waking world.
It seems you and I have some shared interests. Care to chat?
- @majora-master064
Wh wh wh wh wh wh wh wh wh WHAT?!?!
Another anomaly that isn't from Pokemon?!
Of
Of course we can chat!!!
If we've got shared interests I'd love to chat about it !!!
ヽ(>∀<☆)ノ
Well let's see. I also enjoy older technology quite a bit. My main interests are in computers and game consoles, they're quite cozy to me. Familiar feeling.
I'm not as familiar with Pokemon. I know they're also a Nintendo series, but I never played any of the games...
Oh, here's a question! What exactly do you consider an anomaly?
Oh my god oh my god oh my fucking goooOOOODDDD I'M GEEKING OUT!!!!!!!
Okay SO! ANOMALIES!
Usually they're messed up versions of iconic video games whether it's a
A bug
A glitch
A haunted spirit occasionally
A demon
Even entirely altered games! If they have any bit of sentience I like to call them anomalies (rather endearingly might I add)!
I've programmed two (TWO!!!) special computer applications for these encounters!
One is connected to a handmade device to extract the code from the cartridge (usually cartridge I'm still working onto things like discs or larger cartridges such as those from an NES or SNES or N64 or floppy disc or anything like that) and the OTHER!!!
The OTHER is where I like to keep these extracted lines of code for safekeeping!!! I've made a little version of their world that they can happily thrive in where I can pop in and chat and interact with them!!! I've met a LOT of fun ones in my days and I hope to meet more through this blog!!! Isn't that COOL!!!
Don't worry I make sure to patch up any of the missing lines of fundamental code in the game before I return it to the person who offered it to me... I make 8 bucks a pop! Pretty cheap price eh??
°˖✧◝(⁰▿⁰)◜✧˖°
I kinda just realized I might've spilled a lot so um . Anything you wanna share in return??
(・・;)ゞ
Oh that is quite interesting. I was vaguely aware that there were some entities like myself, but I didn't know they were common enough to study.
I imagine I would count as one. I like to describe myself as a 'digital poltergeist' of sorts. My existence involves some more complicated divine intervention, but I exist alongside quite a large group of 'ascended' souls. Some of us are more scattered across digital spaces, but in general we all exist in one little copy of Majora's Mask.
I'm one of the very few that can manifest physically though. Me and a... I suppose hivemind? We are the ones who can travel digitally the most.
Some further questions. I see there's quite a few kinds of anomalys, but I imagine they all have some level of sentience? How does that differ depending on their origins?
Im also intrigued by the worlds you mentioned. If I'm understanding, you extract the anomalous aspects/entities of the game and create a copy of the world for them to exist in? So the original copy is left as a normal game cartridge. How does all of that tend to work?
A DIGITAL POLTERGEIST... WOOAAAHHH... If you could see my face right now I swear I feel like my eyes are WIDE right now but I don't like doing face reveals quite yet
BUT STILL!!! THAT'S REALLY FUCKING COOL!!! I'm sorry for swearing a lot I am REALLY excited for these sorts of things!!!
(≧◡≦)
Oh you asked something else um um um. Sorry I had to step away for a minute
Their sentience from what I've noticed tends to like
Be based around how powerful they are? Or at the very least relating to how much control they have over their situation?
I've seen a few outliers to this theory BUT it's just something more common I've noticed here and there...
As for giving em a world to roam around in n stuff, think of it like a umm....
Okay this is gonna sound weird but you know how during surgery or whatever they can take something problematic out of you to study in a lab and then patch you up?? Like ummm
Like a heart transplant!!! The bad heart's the code I'm extracting and the good heart's the patched up code I'm replacing back into the game for the player to enjoy!!!
I myself always do a brief playtest to ensure the code I've replaced is playable and without problems!!! Pretty neat eh?? I say that a lot I'm sorry um um um......
God I'm sorry I'm just REALLY excited to be talking with someone like you for this long!!!!
∑d(°∀°d)
I believe I've noticed something similar. Some of the souls we have here are... Not exactly 'not all there' but they're very one dimensional. I don't know if it's from how they ascended, or from anything they experienced afterwords but they just don't seem very aware. Most of them are content with whatever role they've assigned themself at least. I'd compare them to NPC's, but that seems a bit rude.
I'm glad that your clients get safe games to play. Nothing good ever happens when someone plays with something they don't understand.
What about the worlds you create for them? I'm sure the less aware ones are content with the familiar, and are fairly independent. But what about the stronger ones, who may get more restless? You mentioned you visit on occasion as well. Any particular goals when you say hello, like research?
Oh believe it or not it took a while to keep the more rowdy ones under control hahah
Reason my PC screen's cracked to begin with is cause one got particularly rowdy and tried to break out...
How I deal with em actually requires further coding for a firewall to ensure they don't escape!!!
Don't worry I try and code in things they enjoy/like to keep em satiated for the time being!
( ̄▽ ̄)
When I pop in to visit I usually like to interact with the anomaly in question
Whether it be talking playing Pokemon fighting
My only goal really is just to figure out what makes em tick and why they are the way they are
Once I've gotten that I usually let em stick around for however long they wanna!
(b ᵔ▽ᵔ)b
It's like having friends to hang out with but in my PC!
( = ⩊ = )
Oh believe me some of them DO like to chat with each other!!
Some even know about each other like if they're in the same game or universe or even both in my PC!
Of course I tend to be the mediator if any of them break out into fights (do you know how easy it is to code in a virtual time-out corner? Hahaha)
┐( ̄ヮ ̄)┌
That is quite surprising. I've only been aware of people in our own haven, or few I've found across the web. I wonder if it's a feeling, or if some of them met before you ever discovered them.
Ahhh... Fights aren't uncommon with us either. Some people just don't get along, or the pressure of living how we do gets too much. Most of us have found contentment, but sometimes... I do my best to alleviate the stress, bringing in things to do or giving them access to media. It helps usually.
As for a time out corner... Yes, I can imagine a few ways to do that actually. But... Mm. Perhaps it's just personal issues I have, but I dont think I could put someone in something like that.
Speaking of coding though. I've been trying to figure out ways to expand horizons for the ones that can't leave the Haven like I can. Have you met anyone who can leave their confinements, or figured out a way to 'open the door' so to speak?
Telling you dude the time-out corners work like a charm
Just as good as coding in items n' what not they like!
Only thing is I just gotta remember to save after every time I go in or else I gotta code it in again hahaha
(^^;)ゞ
Oh if anyone's been able to escape? Ehhhh
Not really no
One of my first ones was a MISSINGNO. that got really close to breaking the glass of my computer screen
But that was a few years back
I've updated the coding's firewall since then to ensure for further security
Uhhhhh but if I find any I could try n' forward 'em to you?? If that's chill??
(・・;)ゞ
From what I've seen it was cracking from inside the computer screen itself
I might send a picture at some point
Well
Actually that's if I felt comfortable showing a digital entity where I live haha
(・・;)ゞ
As for forwarding I was thinking like uhhh
If an anomaly can be found on Tumblr of all things that might peek your interest I could send their username your way?
It's amazing how they even managed to make blogging accounts to begin with!
(≧◡≦)
Huh. I haven't actually heard of another digital entity being able to manipulate things like that. I assumed it was strictly a ghost thing. Was the MISSINGNO a ghost?
And I think that would be excellent. I always enjoy meeting interesting people, and it would be extra interesting to meet people like myself.
As for knowing where you live.... I'll be honest, I know that kind more often then not. I'm a bit of a snoop. But I have refrained with you, I think it's probably rude to snoop on an acquaintance?
I have to commend your initial security measures though. Very robust. The firewall changes you made are clever as well.
Y
Y'know I gotta commend you for not finding out where I live through me talking to you
Σ(°△°|||)︴
Uh
MISSINGNO miiiiiight've been a ghost??
Maaayyybbbeeeeee??
It's been quite a while so I'd have to think about it
(◎ ◎)ゞ
And to top it all off
Thanks for my cybersecurity measures but um
I cannot stress this enough
Do NOT steal my info from my computer if you manage to find a gap i BEG of you
(╥﹏╥)
Mmm. Why don't you tell me about ghosts you have met? I want to know if we have similarities.
Don't worry, your data is safe from me. I really only look into certain people, and you don't fall into the categories my usual subjects do. Trust me, that's a good thing.
