I recently came across your fic “ain't no end to trouble two can make,” which blew my mind. The plot is so carefully planned, the cases so detailed, (you can see all the research that went into it), and the characters so driven I felt like I was watching a very good show, or reading the first chapters of a bestselling novel! Your prose is beautiful, and so visual, it makes me feel like I’m watching/experiencing rather than reading, which makes the whole experience delicious. Also, I love how you’ve captured New York. I’ve never been there, but I’m enjoying your take on it so much! I can feel the sun in the back of my neck, and sense the stickiness of the caramel melting in the backseat of the car, (loved that line btw).
Plus your Mike and Harvey ARE STUNNING. You’ve managed to capture their dynamic in a completely different setting, and make them both sympathetic characters despite their actions and motivations. I adore Mike! I can feel his loneliness and eagerness to prove himself battling with the cynicism and desperation that has driven him to a life of crime (loyal sidekick Benjamin I love you I hope the feds never get their hands on you!) because Harvey inspires him to do better. Their dialogue is so good, and they way they match each other in energy and intellect makes for some very intense scenes, (the one they had during Harvey’s visit in prison was so goodddd ugh).
Anyways, I was wondering if you plan on continuing the fic, and if so, I wanted to tell you I’ll happily wait until you can update!

i do indeed have every intention of continuing the wcau. it's a project i hold very dearly in my heart, and i have so many exciting plans for it. i have the beginnings of a draft for the next chapter, and a detailed set of notes/outlines, but the way time keeps slipping away from me... i swear i have lived at least 4 lives since last april.
fortunately, however, no matter how chaotic my existence gets (and the chaos will escalate by several orders of magnitude over the next 3-6 months) - we'll always have my beloved @majorzeldageek on the case to hold me accountable/threaten to haunt me in the afterlife if i don't see the wcau through. (and bless her for that, sincerely!)
so, i wish i could be more specific about an update, and i'm SO sorry that i am the way that i am (a tornado of mayhem and madness) - but it means the world to me that the wcau is still finding an audience, and i hope to do your patience justice as soon as i am able!! 🫶
