I've been learning After Effects. I used it to create the flames. Rest done in SPINE. I'm honestly shocked that After Effects can create animations that look 'hand drawn' I want to learn more!
Here's the drawing with animation (hand being big is due to being in mid action like smash bros growing limbs) Perhaps it doesn't come of like that though.
Long time no see!
I’m gonna start posting here a bunch more! That’s all. I’ve been working on a SPINE model for Pofo the clown girl (I sincerely hope ‘Pofo’ is not a bad word somewhere lol) Anyway I have some concepts and colors to show off. I haven’t gotten around to making the SPINE model yet so it’s just drawings for now. Also somehow a clown centric episode of Best of The Worst has autoplayed as I type this out. STRANGE! By the way Advance Wars 1+2: Reboot Camp recently came out. I worked on half or maybe a little over half of all the SPINE animations for the CO’s. I was brought on specifically to reimagine our SPINE animation process. Everyone did an amazing job!!

Anyway you can expect Pofo to be even better than what I’ve done before. I’ve learned a bunch of new techniques and I can’t wait to show them off. My goal is to merge the appeal of hand-drawn animation with the flexibility of SPINE. I know there is bad vibes and feelings when it comes to tween/bone animation for drawings. I don’t blame people for feeling that way. It does feel weird and unnatural. There must be a way to make it feel good!
There are many benefits to using SPINE that you can’t get with hand drawn. One of the big ones is better memory usage for game engines. Since character models are made in pieces and not full frame HD drawings it’s more efficient. Also you can easily change costumes and you don’t have to redrawn those costumes frame by frame. And you can edit animations with ease without breaking your hand off redrawing everything. PS. Thoughts on the colors for Pofo? I wonder what other people think.
BigFoot Bill Spine Anims
I did some animation work on the BigFoot Bill videogame the spiritual successor to Earthworm Jim. I designed the rig based on different bits and pieces of Doug Tennapel’s comic drawings. I also rigged it myself and I did the animation too.
The style is meant to be more rough and comic bookish. I have more animations to show off but I need to do some cleanup on them. I’ll post them soon! Oh and check out the Bigfoot Bill comic on indiegogo!

I’ve been in the game industry for about a decade (it’s coming up!)
I’m currently available to take some game project contract work. I’m looking forward to working with some cool people on some cool projects :)

Shop Shooting Gallery
Shooting gallery style shop! I decided to make it this way so that players can buy what they need at the same time, without using slow, clunky menus. This is a work in progress and I’m going to add more stuff to the shop as well as some randomly appearing targets that fly by with rare items.

MegaMan 11 Pixel Art

Sorry for not posting in a while. Here’s a bit of fan art I’ve been working on. I thought it would be fun to try and imagine what Mega Man 11 might look like in pixel art. Learned a lot from making this animation and it made me realize my next game project could potentially have big sprites like this.
Adjusted Bun Escape’s resolution and added a “look” function (biggest complaints).

Customizable Colors!
You can change colors each time you start up a new mission (if you want) You can also save a few different color sets for later use. Colors don’t have any affect on the gameplay at all, purely cosmetic so go crazy!

Guns feeling niiice
Been working on making sure guns feel great when being used. I’ve been referencing slow motion gifs of modern handguns firing, so much stuff going on. I have a lot more stuff I want to add to give that visceral feel of firing a gun. In pixel form!
