In 2013, we took one photo a day, each day, for the entire year. We walked up and asked people a simple question. What Makes You Smile?  The idea behind the project was simple. Everyone has a busy life that is filled with work, school and paying bills that we often forget about the simple things in life. With the use of a chalkboard, we documented and gave people a spontaneous opportunity to write out what makes them happy in life.  We learned a lot about the incredible people we met each day, but most importantly a majority of the answers served as an excellent reminder. A reminder that the best things in life are free.

Today we start a year-long photo a day project, where we ask people in the community to hold up our hand held chalkboard and fill in the blank with what makes them smile. At the end of the project, which will conclude on December 31, 2013, we will create a video with a compilation of all the photos from the year. In early 2014, we hope to have a photo exhibit with all 365 photos on display!
