“I’m going to need a drink for this conversation.” Wynonna said, mostly to herself as she pulled a flask from her pocket and took a few swigs. “I don’t have a crush so definitely didn’t text them. Accidentally or otherwise.”
The heir let out a breath, weighing her options, she could tell her where to go, shut down completely and refuse to talk about it. Or she could say something, tell someone who wasn’t so attached and hope the information wouldn’t get back to any revenants. “I uh, I had a baby a couple months back.”
Joy was notorious for being extremely pushy. Her words could be considered insensitive when really her intention was the opposite— only trying to express her genuine interest alongside caring nature. Unfortunately for others, it came with the personality and there was zero way to change that, even if she could learn and move on.
“A baby? Oh my god, really?” Her interest was peaked. Humans were very fascinating and a touch complicated, so, it only made for her curiousity as she was perceived just like one. “Well, you don’t have to tell me what happened,” Clearing her throat, Joy attempted to frown as it seemed to be much more of a serious matter. “We can move on. I just thought you had a juicy story to tell, Wynonna, you seem interesting— that’s a compliment, I swear!”
“You weren’t to know.” The heir replied with a breath, glancing down at her boots as the tears formed in her eyes. The last thing she wanted to do was cry in front of anyone, she had a hard enough time crying in front of her sister as it was.
After a few moment Wynonna sniffed before looking up, wiping her eyes and hoping that her tears wouldn’t be commented on. “I don’t know if I’m interesting. Definitely fucked up though. Look, I’ll tell you about my kid but you have to promise not to tell anyone anything about it. No one can know.”
