Day 18
Back on the meditation train after being sick with tonsilitis the past few days. Will be making up the days that I missed at the end.
Days 10, 11 & 12
Day 10: Meditation in the bath. Relaxation meditation which lead to falling asleep in the bathtub.
Day 11: Walking meditation.
Day 12: Relaxation meditation before sleep.
Days 8 & 9
Day 8: Hair Salon meditation. Did this one while waiting for my housemate while they got their hair done. Sat with headphones on. I think towards the end I was somewhere between meditation and drifting off to sleep. Meditation while tired is not ideal.
Day 9: Mindfulness meditation, 20 minutes. Mind drifting to recent memories of pleasant things. Better than drifting off to stress.
Day 7
Waiting room meditation. Relaxing amidst people talking, TV on and hustle and bustle. One week in to the challenge and I'm enjoying it. I feel more balanced and relaxed after doing the meditation.
Day 6
Bubble bath and meditation - excellent relaxing combination.
Day 5
Mediation during a migraine. When concentrating on feeling the body, I ended up focusing on the throbbing in my head. However, by the end of the meditation I felt more relaxed. It helped me nap afterwards which made the migraine go away. So, success!

Day 4
Work afternoon meditation break. Going from feeling frazzled and overwhelmed to calm and relaxed. Good stuff.
Day 3
10 minute Tara Brach guided meditation on awareness.
Mind bouncing and unfocused at times. Need to work on focus in the silence.

Day 2
Meditation done! Today, I did two meditations for a total of 20 mins. The first was a relaxation one and the second was a loving-kindness meditation.
It is interesting the way voice, tone and style of the person guiding the meditation can affect the experience. I’ll be trying a few different ones until I find some that reliably work for me. So far, Tara Brach is working for me.
Day 1
Almost late but in earnest!
I didn’t do my meditation today until 11pm today. But got it done!
I did the body relaxation meditation that was sent by the Mindful in May program. I enjoyed sitting down and taking time out and it was good to spend time on body awareness, but honestly it is not one of my favorite types of meditation.
I tend to enjoy guided meditations that guide you at the start but then give you quiet to sit with your mind. I also want to do some more loving-kindness meditation work. So, I think tomorrow I will use a different guided meditation.
I am happy that I started the first day of the challenge. The other people on my work team seem to also be pretty excited. We’re looking at trying to schedule a few guided meditations together at work if scheduling allows.
