One of the secret doors of the Stift Admont library, Austria.
Daniel’s super cool apt. in Paris is very vintage and industrial. Firstly, the floor, preserved in its raw state, is made up of old railway car bases. The back of a metal cabinet is a sort of inspiration board and the bookcase is made up of galvanized metal.
In order not to create a visual break, the kitchen was separated from the living room by a wall of metal cabinets found mainly in salvage shops. From left to right, workshop cabinet, garage cabinet, Napoleon III metal cabinet, workshop cloakroom and dentist cabinet.
Collection of 19th century American wire utensils.
In the kitchen, a metal chair from the 1950s & a red Smeg refrigerator.
Between two metal pieces of furniture, the Moses inherited from his parents has found a special place.
18th and 19th century pitchers collection and a hanger donated by an art student for Daniel’s hanger collection.
The living room is a mix of materials from metals, to textiles, to stone.
Napoleon III window mannequin. 19th cent. muzzle. Chinese Liao pottery from the 11th century, Napoleon III sheet metal bouquets.
In the large walk-in closet without doors where suitcases sit and shirts are sorted by color, American swimming pool hangers and baskets in galvanized metal from the 1930s and 1950s stand side by side with an Ikea portlight
Behind the metal wall, the bedroom remains partly open to the living room.
Magnetic portable lamp on the edge of the glass roof. Lace maker ball in sheet metal and glass which that acted as a magnifying glass.
In the bathroom are reproduction vintage enamel sinks and red industrial faucet knobs.

In love with this uniquely renovated top floor Paris apt. I could live here so easily.
It has lots of storage in the form of a wall of shelves.
The main living space has a seating area and a large dining table.
Love the mural and this vignette.
The room doesn’t look very large, but there’s a piano in here.
The kitchen is separated by a half-glass wall.
Aren’t the windows cute?
The bedrooms on the 2nd level are connected by a catwalk. There’s a large glass ceiling over the walkway, letting in lots of natural light.
The space has an awkward layout that they worked in pretty well when they renovated. This bump-out makes a cozy sleeping nook.
There was room for a glass-enclosed cabinet and a small desk, too.
Adorable bathroom has a view of a vine growing on a railing.
Isn’t this bedroom sweet?
I wouldn’t have expected 3 bedrooms, but they fit beautifully.
