So I deleted all of my RP blogs...

For many reasons, I will be turning this blog into more of a shitposting/personal blog. If you want to unfollow that's totally cool, this blog used to be something very different so no hard feelings.

Who knows, maybe I'll change my mind in the future but I've gotten very burnt out on writing and I felt like it was kind of a hassle to archive everything and keep getting spam from tumblr bots so I just deleted it all.

I wanna thank everybody for some wonderful writing times and good fun! Your muses are inspiring and I love all the lore and characters I've seen over the years.

Anyway, If you wanna keep in contact/chat/whatever, hmu :)

for the love of god let's please normalize periods. it will do SO much for our future generations to unlearn shame, it'll help them know soo much more about their cycle and systems. it's not weird to mention you have period cravings. it's not weird to talk about periods in public. you don't have to be ashamed of walking out of the store holding pads or tampons. you don't have to hide your used products under tissue in the trash can. it's not weird to have to wear adult diapers because your flow is so heavy. it's not weird to be grumpy or sad on your period. you shouldn't feel ashamed about talking about your period if you're transgender. it's not weird to crave different foods or be hungrier than usual. you don't have to call it "that time of the month", "the rag", or "shark week". it's your period. so many mothers teach their children that periods are shameful and not to be talked about, and so many fathers know absolutely nothing about periods. if you bleed through your clothes, you do not have to hide it or feel embarrassed.

period and cycle shame is misogyny and it's one of the deepest embedded examples of misogyny in society. leviticus 18:19 "Do not approach a woman to have sexual relations during the uncleanness of her monthly period." the bible, one of the most religiously followed books, even further pushes the "periods are impure" agenda. (so much more than just this one verse.)

and we don't just need to teach girls about periods. everyone should learn about periods!!! even if someone's already an adult, it's never ever too late to learn. cisgender men don't understand periods and that results in disgust. genitalia and reproductive systems in general are already taboo and "disgusting" topics, but periods are 10x more taboo solely because of misogyny. please, don't feel ashamed about your period. around 26% of the population is DFAB and reproductive age, about 1.8 million people. you're not alone.
