also one more.. because it was cute.
aaand a bonus Eugene, who does not like mud.
go get em buddy, be careful...maybe...
the baddest dogboy in town
two of them!
These guys are soo fucking cute 🥺 baby delinquents fjsjfhsj. I'm gonna try and customise the :p face to be cliff
Pocket priest uwu. I made a Father Eugene custom bjd <3
I've been wanting to properly customise a doll into an OC for ages and seeing @bennizone's crazy cool dolls inspired me to be brave. Original is a bonnie starry night, I made everything but the face (which I repainted) + body, I'll post some process soon!
I happened to be near Sheffield so we went to the meadowhall vending machine 😤😤😤 I never thought I'd get to see it heehee. I had back luck, though... I think the apple is cute but I do prefer the other designs haha. [edit i take it back i love my apple baby]
I do now have the 'too many dolls' problem, I need to focus on a couple but its hard! I also want to finish halsins shirt, but its intimidating lol. I have the neckhole done, and I need to do the velcro part down the backbefore I can do the arms etc, which is scary, the problem with using human patterns as a base, I always forget I have to adjust to get inflexible dolls into it.
Still alive, I have so much I want to do with these guys and so little time! I swapped her hair (the one I carefully painted and removed the ears from...yeah...) and this is very cute...
Some evening photos of the artist boy! Also, my Bonnie's came in! I got random Bonnie's (starry night) and I love the blond one, but might try repainting the green girl! My sweet boy has taken her dress for now...the mismatching greens were bothering me :'). They do however perfectly match my sketchbook heehee.
I also hot glued the necks and some of the joints, and added wire to the legs to increase posability! Definitely helps the artist boy, he had very kicky legs, and all of the heads are now way less bouncy which is excellent.
Trying to figure things out as usual -_- thank you childhood blue bedsheet, mvp of all my draft patterns.
His biceps are so disproportionately big that I'm trying to adapt a human scale medieval tunic that has an armpit gusset, so he's got more room &hopefully is less restricted in posing 😅 I scaled it all down to the right chest width to find that ofc he's not human proportions...so I had to scale all the pieces apart from the chest and arms down. The arms had to be scaled UP 🙄
On a splendid walk!
I finished making this guy, v inspired by @slocotion, old clown dolls, and Vanessa Stockard. I'm not sure what to call him, Timothy, maybe!
Had to paint that little guy...
Timothy fanart!?!?! This is so so wonderful! I love the wistful look to it :'). Thank you!!
He's telling all his friends 😌
(The other doll- zero- is beautifully made by @slocotion based on my design for their patreon competition)
Also for anyone wondering, I have a doll blog @malacandoll, tho it's a mixed bag of bought and made!
I was brave and took apart his shorts to steal the pattern, and made some little blue cotton ones to replace them! I realised I need to buy some 0.3 elastic because 0.5 makes the waistband way taller than I'd like 😅
Doll hair surgery complete 🫡 I do like the frills, but I hate that they arent removable! It basically meant the only clothes she could wear had to match the headress. Anyway I'm pretty pleased! It rests on her head pretty well and I can always use putty to attach it when needed
Finally our tiny strawberries are useful
