Happy Pride! But also.... Black Lives Matter!!

It’s Pride month but I don’t feel much like celebrating right now. As with anything, it’s important to know our history so we can properly appreciate those trailblazers who have come before us. The fight for LGBTQ rights was just that - a fight. It’s called the Stonewall Riots for a reason. The LGBTQ community relied on support from our straight friends and allies back then, as well as brave leadership from many men and women of color. It’s especially important for us all to support the #blacklivesmatter movement now as well.
