thinking abt how yuri becoming disabled after removing his gear is a metaphor for him taking back his body and autonomy...thinking about how he isn't framed as weak or stupid for giving up the integrated gear but in fact is much happier in his body once it's gone, scars and wheelchair and all (bc for many disabled people their mobility aids ARE an extension of their body)...thinking about how despite all this he doesn't go on to hate yukiko because he really did believe in her dream, and he doesn't see his disability as a horrible consequence of his loyalty to her. it's just a part of him now. his life isn't at all lessened by it
