Starting Requests

I have never done a request before so I try to generate everything for this page. I hope, you guys can be patient if you do know about or do requests I may forget  a few things. I prefer smut and/or angst. I am not the greatest at fluff fair warning but I will try if you have an idea.

“Would that be all, Sir?”

Tony looked towards you, where you were standing straight and poised, hands behind your back, emotionless face waiting for instruction.

Tony was down in the basement, haven taken the title of mob boss from Howard, and dealing with some ‘pieces of shit’ as he put it. You were waiting there with him, having taken the title of loyal butler from Jarvis, assisting Tony in anything he asked.

He smiled at you, looking menacing to the trembling bloody guys strapped to the chairs and his men lining the walls, but to you it was just a side to Tony you’ve been exposed to since forever. He slowly walked towards you, shaking his head and lighting a cigar. You saw specks of blood littering his slightly unbuttoned white shirt, some getting on his chest. You looked into his eyes, blown out and excited, as he lifted his head with his cigar in his mouth. He muttered around it, circling you playfully.

“Oh, baby, baby, baby Y/n… what would I do without you?”

Your face was still emotionless, but everyone could pick up the slight sarcastic, amused tilt to your voice.

“I’m afraid those circumstances would be of the most displeasing to think of, Sir.”

Tony laughed, breathing out the smoke in your face, and you stood there unflinching but the slightest spark of amusement was in your eyes. Everyone, although used to you being the only one ever getting away with speaking to Tony like that, still couldn’t believe how you still stood living. Sometimes they found themselves waiting for a gunshot to sound when you and Tony would talk like that.

Tony ignored everyone else’s tense postures , and said to you joyfully,

“Only thing you gotta do is have a whiskey ready for me when I’m done dealing with these pieces of shit.” Tony turned back towards the trembling men in the center of the room, as you stood quiet, anticipating Tony’s next words. He blew out the smoke from his cigar, and added, “Also bring down the fireplace stick, the new one… I wanna try something different.”

You ignored the strapped men wailing louder as you let out a dutiful, “Yes sir.”

Tony smiled hearing your voice and steps receding. His smile turned vicious at the men trembling before him when you left. Scott and a couple of guys who were working for the bastard, Hank Pym. Rats.

“Come on now, quit your pathetic cries. You already know what happens to traitors.”

Tony caught Steve and Sam shifting ever slightly, at the reminder of what Tony did to traitors, and more recently Natasha. Or Natalia.

Tony circled around the men, puffing on his cigar, as Sam and Steve straightened up after one look from Tony. After that, he continued on talking to Scott, “And besides Scotty, you also touched one of my most precious assets.”

Scott glared up at Tony, still trembling. Tony stopped in front of him, his face calm, but eyes deadly as he blew a puff of smoke in Scotts face. He felt a flare of anger and possessiveness strike in him at the memory of Scott joking around and touching your waist, getting ‘friendly’ with you. He leaned down, settling his hands on the arm rests, and said coldly, his look bordering on murderous and serious, looking Scott in the eye.

“You know better than to even think of touching Y/n.”

And that’s where you came down to. You saw Tony beating Scott black and blue as you stood there, one hand behind your back, as your other held the fireplace stick. Tony threw down Scott, who now looked unconscious, as he smoothed back his hair breathing deeply, everybody in the room tense. When Tony caught you standing patiently, he smiled and advanced towards you.

“Ah, Y/n.” He grabbed the new fireplace stick, observing it until he turned around and headed towards the small burner. “Now, you can go and work on that whiskey for me.”

“Yes, Sir.”

You turned and went back up the stairs, the last thing you heard before you closed the door was Scott’s screams, asserting he wasn’t unconscious.

You made your way towards Tony’s personal quarters, up to the bar and setting down a chilled whiskey to cool a bit. After that you prepared a steaming hot bath for Tony. You always did this when dirty work came about. Tony would shower in his bathroom or down in the bathrooms in the basement, and then make his way up to his personal room where a warm bath with some type of bath salts would be waiting for him. You also used to do if it for Sam, Bucky, and Steve.

The first time you did, it was after Tony had them stay down for 16 hours dealing with a couple of captured enemies. You had honestly felt bad for them, wanting to do something that helped ease the discomfort they would have when they came back upstairs, and so you let them know that they had a steaming bath waiting for them. And it had kept happening since. They were incredibly relieved and grateful, and they always made their gratefulness known to you later on. When Bucky would carve you something, or Sam would cook you something, and Steve drawing you a picture.

When Tony caught on, walking in on Sam watching you eat something he cooked in the dead of the night while everyone was sleeping, (which seemed to be the only time you didn’t cater to anyones needs) he became extremely jealous. His usual neutral demeanor to them became ice cold, making them do more dirty work, ‘giving them a reason to have a nice bath’ as he bitterly told you.

It wasn’t until after he came to his room after showering the blood off himself, where he saw his ginormous tub filled with warm water consisting of both jasmine bath salts and real jasmine petals, did he lay off a bit.

You replayed the memory as you went on to start his own special bath.

Tony saw you standing there beside the tub, hands dutifully behind your back, a tray of whiskey and beers on the little table. Tony smiled catching on to what you did for him, stripping his clothes off and said,

“What is this? A surprise?”

You had the hints of a smirk on your lips as Tony walked forward and lowered his naked body in the bath. He groaned out, and you grabbed a couple of shampoo bottles saying,

“More like a peace offering.”

You sat at he edge of the tub, rolling your sleeves, and placing a hand on top of Tony’s head. He looked at you coyly, and you gave him a bit of a reprimanding look, dropping your role of butler and turning more into yourself as you said, “You know they don’t deserve the treatment you’ve been giving them Tony.”

He simply smiled, mainly from hearing his name out of your mouth, and closed his eyes, holding his breath as you ducked his head underwater. When he resurfaced, you started shampooing his hair, weaving your fingers through his wet locks. He leaned back a bit more sighing, and saying smugly as your hands massaged his scalp,

“Bet they weren’t getting this type of treatment either, were they?”

You knew it was a rhetorical question, and he damn well knew the answer, but you wanted to mess with him a bit. At least on Steve, Sam, and Bucky’s behalf.

“Well, they weren’t getting petals and special shampoos, but they weren’t complaining seeing as they enjoyed the massage in itself.”

You felt Tony tense, and you bit back a shit eating grin, as he growled out,

“What?”

You smiled amusedly, traces of laughter in your voice, and tugged his hair. “Oh, I’m just kidding, Tony.”

You gave a mischievous smile, feeling him deflate as he grumbled. The rest of the night was spent with you and Tony drinking together, being friends instead of boss and butler. At the end of the night as he shed his fluffy robe and got into his sheets, he called you over.

“Come on, Y/n, lay with me.”

You stopped your way to the door, and turned back to him. You saw him laying with the covers barely shielding him, looking at you with a lazy smile. You stood thinking for a few seconds until you made you way over to him, shedding your outer clothes. He watched you as you did, and once you were in your tank top and underwear, you slid in next to him. You looked over at him, meeting his eyes that were already on you. He looked so soft in this moment reminding you of how it was when you guys were kids.

So vulnerable.

You smiled softly at him, grasping his hand and clutching it.

“Goodnight Tony.”

Tony smiled back, eyes still a little too crazed, but soft and calm in a way he only got around you. He squeezed your hand lightly, and replied back ever so softly,

“Goodnight, cherry pop.”

You turned away from him, getting comfortable on his huge bed, and closed your eyes. You felt him shifting beside you, until you felt the warmth of Tony pressing himself against your back. He was squeezing you tight, his naked leg over you, and arms wrapped around your middle. He took a breath, as he said in the quiet air,

“You’re the most important thing in my life, Y/n.”

You could hear the vulnerability in his voice, and reached a hand down to touch his. He squeezed you tighter, and said with his voice breaking a fraction as he squeezed you tighter,

“Don’t ever leave me.”

You breathed in deeply, and put both your hands on his arms wrapped around your middle. Tony would get like this sometimes, vulnerable and scared of you abandoning him. It reminded you of how he would come crying to your room when you were kids, running from his dad, or having a nightmare that held too much trauma for a 9 year old to bare. You grasped his arm and responded gently,

“You know I would never do that Tony.” You squeezed his arm and continued, “I love you too much.”

He ducked his head on your neck, and you felt him mouth the words back. Shortly after you felt him breathing evenly down your neck, with his arms loosening up.

You let out a little breath, shifting slightly in your position to get a bit comfortable, closing your eyes and falling into a deep sleep in his arms.

You were snapped out of your memory when you heard Tony’s heavy, sloppy footsteps come up. You knew with him coming back so early he made his workers take care of everyone else. You itched to go make a bath for them.

You looked up at Tony from where you were sitting at the edge of the tub, face still emotionless as you observed him flicking blood off his hands. He was whistling as he came in the bathroom, washing his hands in the sink. He started stripping his clothes, and instead of making his way to the shower like he usually would, he dumped his bloody body in the tub making the water splash at the sides, taking in the still almost burning hot water. He sighed out loudly and closed his eyes.

“God, you really do know how to relax me huh, Y/n?”

You just grabbed a cup to fill with cold water, and poured it down his chest, already used to his crazed tendencies and moments like this.

“Well, I do know you best Tony.”

He chuckled and opened his eyes a little, drooped and half lidded, observing you. You continued pouring water down him, washing off the wet blood, occasionally using your hand to help wipe it off. The water was turning red, and your clothes were also getting stained, but you ignored it as you started draining the tub. You grabbed the showered head connected to the tub, and sprayed Tony one last time. Once that was finished he got out, shaking his hair landing wet droplets everywhere.

He grabbed the bottle of whiskey as he went towards the ceiling to floor window, looking out at the view. He chugged the whiskey, and released his mouth from it with a wet pop, looking thoughtful as he looked out. You walked to a stop next to him, hands behind your back, still in your role of butler, as you looked out at the view with him. He tilted his head towards you, taking in the blood on your clothes before he continued looking forward at the view with you.

“You know, you should really wash that blood off before it stains.”

“I know.”

He smirked at you fondly at that, and finished the rest of the whiskey, throwing the bottle in the trash can where it shattered. He turned and gripped your hand possessively, leading you to the bathroom where his shower was. He started the shower and stripped you of your clothes, as you stood still letting him.

Once he was done, you let him lead you to the warm-hot water, feeling it scalding you a bit. When you entered you tilted your head back, closing your eyes, feeling your tense muscles relax. Tony stood behind you, rubbing your body and getting the blood off.

This would happen sometimes too. When Tony would take care of you in the way you would take care of him. He always took care of you in his own ways, ways that you loved, but you had to admit, it was moments like theses that you held close.

You became lax in his grip, leaning back on him as you felt yourself deflate. You didn’t realize how tired you were, and most of the time in the shower was spent with Tony holding you up, as you closed your eyes getting lost in his touches as he cleaned you. You let out a little relieved groan when Tony started massaging your head, and you felt him tense for a moment before he continued on.

After finishing washing your hair, he got you out and sat you on the toilet as he patted you down with a towel, then wrapping it around you when he was done. He then lifted you up, making you gasp out as he carried you to the bed and plopped you down. You laughed lightly as you bounced on the sheets, and rolled out of the towel. You threw the towel away and crawled to the head of the bed, getting under the covers, and sighing happily with a smile on. Tony followed in after you getting in the sheets naked, and you directed your smile at him cuddling into his side.

Tony put his arm around you, matching your smile. You guys lay there for a few moments, just basking in each other’s presence, and looking out at the window again. Tony broke the silence, softly declaring,

“I love you, Y/n.”

You felt your heart beat pick up at that even though you and Tony always declared your love for each other, this time felt different. You cleared your throat a bit and responded back gently,

“I love you too, Tony.”

Tony squeezed his arm around you, and said more intensely,

“I know, but Y/n… I love you.”

You stayed in your position a few moments until you slowly lifted your head up to look at Tony. He was already looking at you, his face content and calm. No stress. No overthinking look that always seemed to be lingering in his eyes. His soft smile grew and he continued on, his words intense.

“I love you so much, Y/n. I have killed for you, and I have lived for you. You know I would die for you too.”

He was stroking your face now, looking down lovingly at you. You felt your heart beating fast, anxious, and at the same time it felt content at his confession. Tony shifted his position and was hovering above you now. He looked at you for a few moments before declaring softly again, his face close to yours,

“I love you.”

You cradled his face looking into his eyes feeling so vulnerable and safe at the same time, and slowly brought his lips to yours. He rested most of his weight on you now, leaning on his forearm, as his other arm raised up to cradle your head. Your kiss turned more passionate as you quietly moaned in his mouth, and he groaned back slipping his tongue in. It was growing more intense, both of you breathing deeply, and Tony grew aggressive, gripping your chest and kneading the flesh there. You broke from the kiss when you needed to breath, and Tony went on attacking your neck sliding his hand down to your naked hip.

“Ah… Tony…”

He growled in your neck, sucking your pulse. You shut your eyes circling your arms around him, panting slightly. He released his lips on your neck, breathing deeply in your ear.

“God… I love you so much…!”

You gripped his head kissed him deeply on the mouth, turning you guys over so you straddled him now. You broke the kiss with a wet sound, sitting up on his abs. Tony breathed deeply smiling up at you, his eyes half lidded with lust. You smiled down gently at him, and stroked down his body. You reached one hand up to cup his face, the other smoothing back his hair.

“I love you too, Tony. More than you’ll ever probably know.”

Tony smiled up at you, looking human instead of a ruthless mob boss. All night you and Tony loved each other, only trusting each other to show your true sides to each other. To fully feel, and be truly vulnerable. The next morning you woke up to Tony kissing your body, and looking into your eyes with a mixture of lust, love and undying loyalty. You’d never thought you would feel as content as you did then.

You're in the mafia!?" A scrambled to collect themselves, picking clothes up off the floor and throwing them on haphazardly.

"Oh, didn't I tell you?" B smirked, eyes alight in knowing that they certainly had not told A. "By the way, that's my shirt."

Summary: You go on a night out with your friends, and after a hard week, you felt you deserved it. Which is why after flirty looks between you a charming man that left you feeling intrigued, you decided to indulge in a night of pleasure as well. If only you knew it was with the Tony Stark.

“Wooo! Oh my gosh, I’m so glad you came babe!”

You laughed as your already drunk friend draped herself on you in the middle of the dance floor. You held her fondly, now swaying with her to the music feeling a little buzzed yourself, but you honestly never felt better.

It had been a tiring week of dealing with shitty customers, demanding bosses, and the cherry on top; your poor, beautiful cat Luna had gotten sick. You had to work overtime, covering your coworkers shifts, and the only thing that kept you from refusing, was the extra cash that you would get. Cash that your poor, sick baby needed for her appointment later this week.

Your other friend gave you knowing look as she picked up the one leaning against you.

“Your little kitten will be fine.”

You rolled your eyes at her, especially with the way she referred to Luna as that. She led you to the bar to get more drinks for you and your table, leaving your friend group to cheerfully sit down, and pick up on the drinks they had left behind.

“You should be worrying about another little kitty cat.”

You gave her a look, and she met you with her own challenging one, making you say unimpressed,

“Jesus. Sometimes you make me feel like a shriveled old lady.”

She shoved you good naturedly, and you giggled teasingly, signaling another round of shots from the bartender. She leaned forward on the countertop, saying exasperatedly now, “C’mon! You know I’m right! When was the last time you felt good? Like, good with another person? Hmmm?”

You scoffed lightly at that, knowing she was right. These past few weeks you had wanted to satisfy yourself sexually, and your poor toys and hand could only take so much. You had ranted to her plenty of times about this that she knew all too well about your struggles. She had offered to take you on double dates, or go on a night out, but you always never had the time. Until now.

So you really weren’t all that surprised that she tried to set you up with someone.

“Who would I even have a good time with?” You questioned her with a raised eyebrow. At this she smiled wickedly, and subtly gestured towards the back of the club.

“You know, for starters, that cutie in the back has been eyeing you all night. And I know you’ve noticed.”

You slightly blushed at that, and she gave you an encouraging smile. She wasn’t wrong about that either. You and the mysterious man had given each other flirty looks all night, you possessed by his intimidating aura, and him enraptured by you pretty little smile. You looked over your shoulder and met the yes of the man in question.

And god, he truly was a sight.

With his strong jaw, perfectly groomed beard, and a firm body that you knew was just so much stronger than it looked beneath those expensive looking clothes. It was enough make your mouth water a bit. Especially when you met his deep chocolate brown eyes that sent a wink at you, and made your blush and desire enflame all the more. You gave him a flirty little wave with a smile that made his eyes turn darker, and his smile turn knowing.

Your attention was brought back to the bar as the bartender clacked a tray of shots, and dismissively said,

“Drinks on the gentlemen in the back.”

He pointed behind you, and you felt your breath halt a little bit, knowing exactly who he was talking about. You looked at your friend and she gave a you an expectant grin, raising her eyebrows suggestively at you. She gave you a shot to down with her, and after you guys were done, she took the tray and leaned in to whisper in your ear,

“I’ll take care of the little devil kitty cat tonight. Now go take care of yours.”

She encouragingly shoved you with hers hips as you barked out a surprised laugh, and she left towards your friend group sitting at the table.

You took a deep breath, grounding yourself and your excitement, before you turned around and sauntered over to the grinning man.

She was right. You did deserve to have a good night, a hell of a night after the week you had.

You stopped shortly in front of the man, seeing the people he was with occupied with their own dates in their lap. You smiled at him, your eyes gleaming with want, and spoke out,

“Is this seat taken?”

He lazily smiled back, eyes deep and interested, and his enticing voice drawled out,

“It is now, sweetheart.”

And as you sat down closely next to him, his hand immediately going to your exposed though, you knew it would be one hell of a night.

You gasped deeply as you felt the man- or Tony as you had learned- suck the column of your throat. You gave a breathy moan as he gripped your waist tighter, grinding you closer into his lap, making the leather seats of the expensive car squeak. He groaned in your neck when you tugged on his hair, and then ran your nails over his scalp. He lifted his head and smirked back at you when you gave him a breathy smile.

His eyes were blown out, and half lidded, his lips plump and red. You knew you looked the same, a mess, and you wriggled in his lap as you started kissing down his neck, leaving wet lipstick marks over the dry ones.

The car halted to a stop, and he lifted you up with him as he got out the car, making you laugh out giddily and clutch onto him. After a quick dismissal to someone named Happy, he kicked the car door closed and led you to the front doors of a huge mansion. As you turned your head, you noticed the car leaving out through huge iron gates.

Since when the hell did you guys enter through those gates? And why did they look familiar?

That all left your mind when Tony kicked open the door, and slammed it shut by pushing you against it. You smiled at him with a heady gasp, your back arching into his touch as he stared you down, making your thighs clench around his waist. He smiled at that, trailing a hand down your back and sensually drawled,

“Should we finish off what we started, sweetheart?”

“Fuck yes.”

He laughed as you pulled him into a kiss.

You groaned lightly as you started to wake up, your eyes still closed as you felt a dull headache pulsing through your temples. But that was completely overshadowed from the gratified feeling your body was thrumming with.

You had a delicious stretch in your muscles that made you melt in the unbelievably comfortable bed you lay in. You also felt well rested, not even feeling the least bit of fatigued in the least, feeling so refreshed under the cool sheets you cuddled into. And best of all: you felt deliciously sore.

Oh god, it felt amazing, feeling so stretched and sore, and your lips tilted up in a satisfied smile. You pressed your legs together, and it was only then did your legs brush by the skin of another. That’s when everything from last night came back to you, and you couldn’t keep your smile from growing more even if you wanted it to.

The man- Tony, stirred from his place next to you and turned around so his chest was to your back. He draped an arm around your waist and pulling you against his chest with a deep breath. It tickled your ear, and when you felt his beard lightly scratching your neck, you giggled softly, making him chuckle deeply.

“Good morning, sweetheart.”

His voice was raspy and had a deep timbre to it, making you clench your thighs just a little bit tighter. You turned in his embrace, smiling up at him with lidded eyes.

“Good morning,” you softly said, giving a little kiss to his chin. He grinned down slowly at you, adjusting his grip so you were closer in his chest, you guys still side by side. It was then that you felt his morning erection, and you looked up at him with a brow raised, and questioned,

“Eager already?”

He just ducked his head, starting to lightly nibble at your neck, and you could feel his smug smile, and that delicious beard, as he rumbled out, “Hey, don’t blame me. Little Tony has a mind of his own.”

You laughed again, and it quickly faded off in a sigh as he found your sweet spot, and started sucking it.

God, you needed this.

Your eyes slipped closed in bliss, his strong hands trailing lower, kneading your ass, and cupping your boobs. He squeezed the mounds of flesh simultaneously, rolling them, and that made you gasp and lift a leg to pull him closer, making him hum approvingly.

You tensed and pushed him off you, stumbling to sit up through the tangled sheets. He seemed surprised at that, eyes widening as he propped himself on his elbow and arched a brow at you.

“Uh, what just-“

“You work with the Stark’s?!”

At that he raised an unconcerned brow at you, and gave a half shrug with a head tilt, looking more amused than confused now.

“Sweetheart, I am a Stark.”

Your mouth slightly parted, eyes growing wider in disbelief, and he smirked at that, the amusement palpable in his eyes now. You snapped out of it, and angrily glared at him, moving off the bed all together.

“Oh my god.” You hurriedly grabbed your clothes from the floor, shielding your body from him. “I can’t believe you didn’t tell me you were in the mafia. No less a Stark.” You unconsciously hushed out the last part, throwing your clothes on haphazardly. You angrily adjusted your little skirt to cover you, back still to Tony.

"Oh, didn't I tell you?" Tony smirked, eyes alight in knowing that he certainly had not told you, leaning on the headboard with his hands behind his head. "By the way, that's my shirt."

You whirled around to face Tony, seeing him sitting back carefree, his sculpted torso fully on display, v line showing peeking through the sheets that barely covered him. You almost got lost in the sight, before you looked down realizing that he was right, and you were halfway to putting on his shirt. You dropped it with a gasp, and snappily grabbed the correct button up, hastily doing the buttons, ignoring his smirk growing wider.

“You know what. It doesn’t matter. This was just… a one time thing, so we’ll never see each other again.” Your tone held no argument, and you hoped that this assertiveness meant that he wouldn’t bother you after this.

He saw him tilt his head at you, a fake pout and faux hurt on his face.

“Want to make me a dirty little hook up that bad, huh? I’m a little hurt.” You looked at him with barely held in anger and he continued muttering, “and to think I was gonna offer you breakfast.”

That made your eye twitch, making Tony laugh out loud, and you grit your teeth hard to stop yourself from saying something that would most likely get you shot.

Oh, but if he was anyone else...

He looked back at you when he was done, and said flippantly, “Don’t worry sweetheart. I’m a one and done deal and I like to keep it that way. You missed out on an exciting morning, though.”

You turned your back to him once again as you grabbed your shoes, sighing, “I think I’ve had enough excitement for one morning.”

He simply hummed at that, and you turned one last time, meeting his calm smug smile.

“Goodbye Tony.”

This time his smile twisted into what you thought was something genuine, and he responded softly, but knowingly, “Goodbye, sweetheart.”

You left without another word, holding yourself from looking back, leaving Tony alone in the bed with his thoughts.

Well, that was interesting.

Tony was used to a lot of reactions from people who he’s slept with.

Surprise. Awe. Fear. Pride.(he kinda hated that one) But anger was the one that he wasn’t used to seeing.

As he heard the front door close downstairs, he kinda regretted that you left so soon. You were the most entertaining person he’d met so far, and a hell of a one night stand. And then he reminded himself that that’s all you were to him, a one night stand. So he didn’t really dread your leave anymore.

Until he couldn’t get you out of his head.

Not when he was doing business. Not when he was drinking his morning coffee with Pepper droning on and on in the background. Not even when he slept with other people. You were especially on his mind when that happened.

It didn’t matter that there was a girl riding him, her loud moans were just white noise to him because you still occupied his mind.

His eyes sliced to the area of New York where you lived, a fact he figured out when he thought about what you did which led him to learning other things about you. Like your little cat. He smiled as he thought about the type of reaction you’d have if he sent a little gift on your doorstep.

You sighed tiredly as you walked up the stairs of your apartment complex.

It had been another draining week, almost enough to make you cry out of hopelessness, but you were to be exhausted to do even that. You reached your door, and unlocked it, smiling weakly when you felt Luna slither between your legs.

“Oh, Luna…” You picked her up, and felt your spirits lift a bit as she rubbed her head under your chin. You walked over to the keychain to hang your keys, when you bumped your foot on something. You were about to kick it out of the way before you looked down and saw that it was definitely not something you owned.

It was a black box that glimmered slightly in the light, and it was tied together by a neat crimson ribbon. Definitely not something you owned.

You looked questionably at your cat, who just continued to sit with her tail flicking, looking as disinterested as she usually would.

Well, if she didn’t sense nothing wrong, maybe that was a good sign.

You bent down and carefully pulled the ribbon apart, setting it aside and lifting the lid of the box. Your eyes widened as you saw a lavish, shiny collar with the words ‘Luna’ engraved on it. You picked it up, seeing that a bracelet that was similar to the collar placed under it. You picked that up, inspecting it, only to turn it over and see the words ‘sweetheart’ engraved on it.

You felt your stomach jump at that, not knowing if it was really from who you thought it was from, until you saw a note that was tucked st the side of the box.

“A little gift for you sweetheart. I’ll always be at the club if you want another night together. Hope your little kitty cat gets better.

~Tony”

There was a number scrawled on the back of the note, and you felt your heart thump at that. You huffed angrily, ignoring that feeling, placing everything back in the box, and putting it back where it was, stomping to your fridge, and getting out a beer and quickly chugging it.

That idiot.

You looked out your window, lightly choking on it when you saw the dozens of roses littering your windowsill. You slammed open your window, leaning your head out, inspecting the flowers.

They honestly smelled good, fresh and sweet, and the petals were soft and gorgeous. You stroked the petals, feeling another little note attached to a stem, and looked over the big bouquet to see the note saying,

“Hope you like it sweetheart.”

You lightly smiled at that, feeling something soft bloom in your chest and not ignoring it this time. When you went to pull the note out of the bouquet, your smile turned exasperated as you saw a matching necklace attached to the note.

You huffed out a laugh, and delicately set the necklace down, staring at the note.

“Hope you like it.”

You smiled warmly at that.

And in the tinted car in the alley below your window, Tony was doing the same.

Tony turned back, facing forward and said satisfied, “Leys go Happy. We’re done here.”

Happy started driving with a dutiful ‘yes sir’, and made his way en route to the mansion.

Tony really did hope you liked them.

It had been a long night. I sat on my stool at the bar, tapping the toes of my shoes against the surface in front of me as I downed another shot. A pleasant numbness seeped through me and I smiled, knowing I was going to need it to get through the rest of the party.

My friend, Tony Stark, had insisted on my presence this evening though I didn’t know why. He’d greeted me when I arrived and I hadn’t seen him since. This was typical of his parties and was why I made it a habit to rarely come. Earlier I’d kept myself occupied by talking to Dr. Banner but he’d left long ago. Lucky bastard.

A presence came up behind me, hovering far too close for my liking but I did my best to ignore it. “Hey, sweetheart. Can I get you a drink?”

You weren’t certain when your obsession started. Probably somewhere around when you first met the man, but you’d never admit it. Not that you’d admit it to anyone period. It was a little odd, if you were honest, being in love with someone’s voice. Noting all the nuances of it and what they meant. But it had happened almost without you realizing it.

“Cap, this is our new recruit. Fury seems to think she’ll give you a run for your money,” Tony Stark said by way of introduction to the blond super soldier.

Steve flashed a wide smile and offered you hand. “It’s a pleasure to meet you. I look forward to seeing what you can do.”

You shook his hand and stifled the urge to gasp at the shiver that climbed your spine from only his voice. It was just his natural tone, his natural timbre. He’d done nothing to change or enhance it so it shouldn’t have affected you as it did. But that night you dreamed about that voice saying all manner of things.

“Come on,” Steve encouraged as you ran through the training course. “You’re doing fantastic. Your numbers look great.”

His normal voice was now enhanced with a bit of happiness and satisfaction. He was pushing you to do better. Praising you for your improvement. And truth be told there wasn’t a whole lot you wouldn’t do to hear that voice.

“You’re okay, sweetheart. Stay with me,” Steve’s voice broke through the fog in your brain. You’d been caught in an explosion on your way out of a Hydra facility and were thrown several feet. Your head bounced off the ground when you landed.

A hand lightly tapped your cheek and you struggled to open your eyes, failing miserably.

“Come on, I need you to wake up so I know you’re alright.” His voice shook slightly and was heavy with worry. The concern in it made a path straight to your heart and settled there.

You still couldn’t open your eyes but you managed to say his name before you passed out again.

When you woke, you found Steve sitting beside your bed. His elbows were braced on his knees and his hands were clasped together in front of his mouth. His gaze was focused on the floor beneath his feet. You wondered how long he’d been in that chair. “Hey,” you said, your voice rough due to your dry throat.

His head jerked up and his worried gaze took you in before it softened in relief. He grabbed a cup from the table beside you and held the straw so you could drink. “Better?”

You nodded.

“Feeling okay?” he asked a moment later.

You did a mental inventory. “Not bad, actually.”

He nodded. “Good.” He licked his lips before pushing himself to his feet. “Because I would like to know just what the hell you were thinking,” he all but growled.

Your brow lifted at the anger in his voice. You’d never heard him angry before. Annoyed yes, angry no. When you didn’t respond, he raked a hand through his hair. “You were a good three minutes late leaving that building. Another thirty seconds and you wouldn’t be here. Is it really that difficult for you to obey orders?”

Was it wrong that Steve’s angry voice was the sexiest one yet? Damn. What was wrong with you? You definitely had issues.

“Are you going to say anything?” he finally asked in exasperation.

You took another drink to soothe your dry throat. “What do you want me to say? I wasn’t intentionally dragging my heels. People kept trying to shoot me.”

His brow furrowed. “Why didn’t you call for backup?”

“Because people were supposed to be leaving the building so they didn’t get blown up. Did you miss that part?” you deadpanned.

Steve literally facepalmed before dropping back into his chair.

“I love you.”

Your eyes jerked up to meet Steve’s gaze. The two of you were sitting at your little table having breakfast together. You swallowed. “Would you repeat that?”

A smile curved his lips as he leaned forward. He pressed a soft kiss to your lips before pulling back to watch you. “I love you.” His tone was soft, sweet and slightly worried as he made his declaration. It was your favorite version of his voice.

You gave him another small kiss followed by a smile. “I love you, too, Captain.”

Steve twirled you on the dance floor before pulling you back to hold you against his chest. “Having fun?”

“Time of my life, baby,” you assured with a grin.

He mirrored your expression before pressing his lips against yours. Your lips were still touching when he said. “I love you, Mrs. Rogers.” And the love that flowed when he called you that for the first time, gave you your new favorite version of his voice.

Steve stuck his head in the door, smiling wide when his gaze fell on you and the bundle in your arms. “There’s my girls.”

He moved to the side of the bed and brushed the hair from your face as you fed your daughter. “You were amazing today. Thank you for giving me our daughter.”

You shook your head and smiled at his sappiness. And for a moment, just a moment, you thought you might have found the best version of his voice.

But then he traced a finger down the side of your baby’s face. “And you, princess, will always be my favorite girl. Daddy loves you.”

Yeah. Nothing was going to ever top that.

Your eyes followed Steve as he strolled into the kitchen. When he glanced over and caught your gaze, he sent you a small smile which you returned. Heat flooded your face and you took a deep breath to calm your nerves. You saw the man every day, eventually this crush had to go away. Right?

“I made more of that fruit salad if you want some,” you told him when you noticed him studying the contents of the pantry.

His face lit up. “Thanks, Y/N/N.”

When Steve opened the fridge, you felt a nudge in your side. You glared at Sam who was grinning beside you. “Just ask him out already.”

Your eyes widened as you blinked at him. “What?” The word came out in a strangled gasp and you cleared your throat before repeating it.

“You like him. He likes you. Just ask him out.”

You shot a worried glance in Steve’s direction to make sure he hadn’t overheard. “Shh,” you chastised Sam. “He does not like me. And I can’t just ask him out. It would be too awkward.”

“Yeah, you’re right. Steve doesn’t like you at all,” he said in a flat voice. “And what’s awkward about it? This is the 21st century. Embrace your power. Women ask men out all the time now.”

“Thanks for the women’s power speech, Sammy, but I don’t just work with Steve. I train with him. I live with him. What is not awkward about that?”

“I’ll give you a hundred.” The statement had you and Sam both turning in surprise to where Bucky sat in a chair nearby. He was digging through a bag of sour gummies, picking out his favorite flavors. After a moment, probably when he realized there’d been no response, he looked at the two of you. “What?”

Your cloak kept the cool air from the prison level of the palace from chilling your skin. And the hood allowed you to ignore the curious eyes of the inhabitants. You weren’t supposed to be down here. That had been made clear to you by nearly everyone in the palace. And you had assured them all that you understood. But you needed to see him. You didn’t believe he was alive. You couldn’t. Because that would mean that he’d left you. That he’d made the choice to forget you.

You recognized him the moment your gaze fell on that head of dark hair. His hair obscured your view of his face but you’d know him anywhere. You sucked in a mouth full of air as your chest grew tight. You stepped back so his prison was no longer visible, so there was no risk he would see you. Tears flooded your eyes and spilled over to trace salty lines down your face. You hadn’t thought this would hurt so bad. That it would be worse than the endless grieving.

“I know you’re there.”

His voice tore through you. Shredded your heart. Even a week ago you would have given anything to hear that voice again. Just for a moment. And now, part of you hoped to never hear it again.
