no one really cares about binge eating disorders bc you’re kinda just seen as overweight or fat🤷♀️it will ruin your life just as easily as anorexia and i wish more people talked about it
anon asked: What if the perpetrators are your parents and parents only? What counts as TBMC?
One of the things mod 🧪 said to me when I was first discovering my TBMC history is "RAMCOA doesn't mean you have the entire adjective. It doesn't need to be extremely organized. Just intentional."
There's a book out there I'm not going to name that basically teaches parents how to use extreme abuse to raise a child. it can definitely just be done by parents.
description of TBMC below the cut
TBMC is the hijacking of the nervous system by torture and extreme abuse. The victim is forced into fight or flight and their dopamine network responds, causing them to react to a cue. I'm not going to get into the science of it bc frankly, i'm off school rn, and i can't be assed to.
syscringe users will be like “you don’t have DID just because your mommy yelled at you. DID is caused by experiencing Unimaginable Horrors in childhood” and then when u say you have DID because you experienced unimaginable horrors they don’t believe you
i feel so uncomfortable and sad around children. seeing them reminds me of how vulnerable i was, as well as how intense everything feels to them (getting a scraped knee is extremely painful, dropping ice cream is devastating). i get so jealous seeing happy children. i wish i could have been like that
We just had a several hour long trauma flashback in which we were violently sobbing and screaming our lungs out. It lasted a big portion of the night, and not a single nurse from the night staff came to help us. We were completely ignored while sobbing and screaming and having trauma induced seizures on the bathroom floor.
when i was involuntarily hospitalized, i was labelled as a hard drug user and a person with psychosis, by people who did not know me, who did not run tests, who did not even speak to me as a human being.
the emts left the heart monitor stickers on my skin, which meant they stayed there the entire time i was hospitalized, because i was restrained. the emt pushed way too hard, i had bruises for weeks afterwards - this was done to punish me for "making her touch that." my body. her and her colleague joked and laughed about my body, speculated about my genitalia, said "i'm not checking, you check! i'm not touching that again!" they laughed at my miserable expense. they discussed druggies, how they wish they could just "leave the junkies to the cops." she talked about her sister's upcoming 4h tournament, and horses, and her parents farm - and they ignored me asking where i was, where we were going, what was going on, because i was not a person.
when i got to the hospital, i was abandoned in a hallway. when a nurse eventually showed up, demanding that i follow her, i fled. i was terrified of this hospital, this place that i had already experienced traumatic abuses, and i ran, horrified, desperate to die rather than to let them abuse me again. my child mind remembered, and it wanted no part of it, the violation of my body by "child psychologists" who were doing a case study on the upbringing of an intersex youth. i made my way to the upper level, found frantic and scrabbling at a "roof access" door. i was determined to throw myself off the roof rather than be subject to torture again. they grabbed me and dragged me back, layering on more bruises that would last for weeks after my discharge.
the staff at the hospital gave me injections over and over, first three, than two more - i was screaming, crying, panicking, begging - anyone with training would see that i was having a ptsd flashback, asking what year it was, asking how old i am, asking where i am and why i am here. they decided i was psychotic, and gave me five times the amount you get twice a month. twice a month, two shots of 5 ml. i received at least five shots of 15 ml in under an hour. i begged them to tell me what they were giving me, as many psych medications trigger my seizures, what is that, i am allergic, please, it could seriously hurt me, don't -
A haloperidol overdose is a medical emergency characterized by severe central nervous system depression (drowsiness, coma), extreme muscle rigidity or spasms (extrapyramidal symptoms), hypotension, and dangerous heart arrhythmias.
they left me strapped to a bed, seizing, pissing all over myself, drifting in and out of consciousness, for three days. i didn't eat or drink, and the nurses would push in trays of food on tables just to stand around my bed, taunting me for being unable to move, eating my hospital food, spitting it into the garbage, laughing in their little group as i writhed and sobbed. i wavered in and out of hysteria, desperation tearing my skull open from the inside. the staff refused to look at me directly or acknowledge me if i spoke or called out for help, and instructed one another to avoid looking at me or my room at all. they laughed at me with one another, mocking the things i said in a childish, high pitched tone, "help me, stop, i'm allllerggiccc, haha!" i seized and panted and fell endlessly through trauma after trauma, wondering if i was having a heart attack, wondering if i was going to die, wondering if i had already died and was drowning in hell. i begged audibly for death, for release, for it to just be over.
nurses in my country kill indigenous women with this treatment, kill immigrants with this treatment, kill black women and their children with this treatment. the medical field in my country is deeply hateful and uses their positions to sexually abuse or traffic their victims, or fully murders us and laughs at our death rattling. here are just two such deaths: Joyce Echaquan and Heather Winterstein.
the hatred of the medical field kills vulnerable people every day. the hatred of the medical field traumatizes and wounds vulnerable people everyday. the hatred of the medical field does more harm than help.
I saw a post that disgruntled me enough to want to talk about this, so here we are. There seems to be a heavy amount of misinformation on what "counts" as OEA, often excluding adult victims and non-programmed victims. So, within this post, we'll go over what the terms "OA, MC, and RA" mean, as well as commonly construed myths.
Organized Abuse
all-encompassing.
Organized abuse is a wide term that includes experiences of ritual abuse and mind control but is in no way exclusive to them. Often, only organized child sexual abuse is mentioned, which leaves out a lot of experiences it includes.
The most simple definition of organized abuse is "Abuse that involves a number of people doing something together in a pre-planned and/or structured way, rather than acting alone." In short terms, abuse done by multiple people in a planned way. [1]
All groups under the RAMCOA/OEA label will fall under this category. This includes, but is not limited to, Cults, Trafficking Rings, Labor Camps, "Troubled Teen" Camps, Intra-Familial Organized Abuse, and other experiences that fall under this definition. This includes victims indoctrinated into cults, trafficked, or otherwise abused as adults, as well as children born or brought into it. Location of the abuse (at home, in a church, at school, at a daycare, etc) doesn't matter, and someone does not have to go through ritual abuse or mind control to have experienced organized abuse.
Ritual Abuse
not inherently satanic.
Ritual abuse is a term often confused with SRA, or "Satanic Ritual Abuse," an outdated and often harmful label for forms of organized extreme abuse. Not all forms of organized abuse are ritual abuse.
Ritual abuse can be defined as "Abuse that occurs in a context where symbols or activities have superstitious, supernatural, or religious connotations. It is organised, often involving multiple perpetrators, and the abuse often happens as part of a rite or ceremony." Alternatively, the word 'ritual' refers to "a rite, ceremony or pseudo- religious service which involves a series of actions performed in a fixed order and/or at certain times; something that is done in the same way whenever a particular situation occurs." [1] [2]
Because of this, ritual abuse can be defined while including spiritual themes and non spiritual themes. So, many definitions include other forms of abuse that is ritualized/specifically repeated in nature, such as on a specific day or time or in a specific order.
This type of abuse is most dominated in literature by satanic overtones, once again from the term SRA. However, this is not exclusive to satanic cults. Any group based on a belief system or using other reoccurring themes/abuse can perpetrate ritual abuse. Though ritual abuse is also more commonly linked with mind control and child abuse, programming and age have no impact on if an experience is ritual abuse or not.
Survivors of ritual abuse include things like ritualistic ceremonies, games, symbols, set-ups, abuse on specific days/holidays, abuse in a specific order, etc as common experiences.
Mind Control
programming and beyond
Mind control tends to be the term that receives the most problems, as many people tend to only think of programming when hearing it. However, MC is not exclusive to programming survivors, and many types of MC have been recognized.
A good definition of MC is "Methods of thought reform to force submission or information from enemies and victims, or to indoctrinate and increase cooperation in members and captors," and is a synonym to coersive persuasion, defined as "attempts to force people to change beliefs, ideas, attitudes or behaviors using psychological pressure, undue influence, threats, anxiety, and/or intimidation." [3] [4]
Programming is an example of the far end of mind control, a severe form of conditioning. However, things such as cult and religious indoctrination, psychic driving, terrified submission, etc, are all also forms of MC that can occur within organized abuse. MC is not exclusive to child victims, as most forms of MC can be performed at any age.
Thank you for reading. If you have any questions or additions, feel free to send an ask or reply to this post. A reminder that I am not a professional, I am flawed, and I am just doing my best.
partially-managed mental illness is so fucking funny i'll be sitting around doing my job and suddenly think "wow i hate myself" and immediately get confused because, like, that's not TRUE! i love myself so much. who are you to talk to me like that
lestat said kill yourself and armand made one of his bandmates jump in front of a train. lestat made fun of armand's sexual performance and past as a child sex slave and armand helped his boyfriend leak a video of lestat having sex with his own mother. you go low he goes to hell hall of fame
