Persephone Devotional Acts
I saw how much everyone loved my Haides devotional acts post, so here’s another one for the ever-so-lovely Persephone! She has been in my life for a very long time, and I believe that She was one of the first Gods I really connected with. I consider myself to be a true devotee to Her, and She has always been there for me. Remember, all of these acts are what She has responded to positively with me, but everyone’s practice is different!
Stop to smell the flowers–literally!
Pair lace and leather together–she loves this!
This is similar to the Haides act to devoting an outfit to Him. Maybe I’ll make a “Wardrobe Devotion” post if anyone likes the idea? Please comment if you would enjoy a post on it!
Wear pomegranate scented things–perfume, lotion, lip gloss, etc.!
Tend to wild plants if they need care (here in the Midwest, I’ll take water out to the wildflowers if we have a drought)
Go barefoot more often and feel the way the ground feels on your bare feet
Support local farmers and beekeepers
Honor the deaths of animals and if you can, bury them or leave them in a place where nature will care for them
Buy yourself a nice bouquet of flowers, or make your own!
Place flowers on barren graves
Spread seeds of native flowers on the sides of highways or other unincorporated places (be sure to check local laws on this, I know for my we work to preserve prairie flowers and they get planted in grassy knolls by highways and interstates!)
Wear something fancy when you feel like it–make yourself feel like the royalty you are!
Offer her fruits/nuts. I do this by burying a portion of my meal after I devote it to Her.
Listen to music that reminds you of Her.
Side note: I’m definitely going to have to make some playlist posts
Wear a flower crown. No, really. One of my friends has a set that is exclusively dedicated to each of the Gods, and they wholeheartedly adore it.
Collect crystals like rose quartz, garnet, citrine, green tourmaline, and topaz
Rose quartz is a go-to stone for me for many Gods, Persephone being one of the many
She really digs topaz and the tourmaline in my experience
Love yourself, of course, just as She loves you
And many, many more!
As always, message or ask me for any questions! I promise I don’t bite and I love answering questions. Stay tuned for more devotional act posts and some playlist posts!

A spell to honor & bond with Persephone.
Ingredients |
❥ a bottle/jar
❥ brown sugar
❥ dried pomegranate seeds
❥ flower petals of any type
❥ almonds / nuts
❥ a small bone(s) (optional)
❥ mint (optional)
❥ peach or plum pit (optional)
❥ temperance & the empress
tarot cards (optional)
Directions |
❥ I would recommend evoking Persephone when you cast this spell jar as it would help with bonding with her & she would really appreciate it.
❥ Add everything into the jar in whichever order feels best to you!
❥ Hold your spell jar into your hands or hover your hands above the spell jar, visualize yours & Persephone’s energy/magick & intent flowing into the spell jar.
❥ Bring the jar to hover over your lips & whisper a Persephone incantation/hymn/prayer of your choosing!
❥ Place the tarot cards to stand up on the spell jar & visualize the energy of the cards flowing into the spell jar to charge it as well.
❥ Seal it with a kiss & some wax! Shake or kiss the jar when you want to activate it!
Offering Ritual
Items needed:
dish dedicated to offering chalice edible food and drink able water candle
1) Place food offering in the dish to the back left of your ritual space. (I like to do this outside so malevolent spirits don’t attach themselves to my home.) Announce: “Here I place this dish for the Lord Hades and in his name offer to share with those that starve in the beyond” bow and lightly tap your head on the ground three times.
2) Raise your chalice after you have filled it with water and bow head as you announce “ In Persephone’s name as Queen of the Underworld I offer this water for the Lady and in her name offer to share with those who go thirsty in the beyond” place the chalice to the back right. If it is the darker months, bow and recite the aforementioned phrase and lightly tap your head upon the ground three times
3) Forward center, place the candle and as you light it say: “ I light this candle to guide those who are lost so they might find rest and sustenance
4) Bow and meditate personal mantra: “Lord Hades, Lady Persephone, guide those who have passed into their next life, guide those who have passed unjust to their place of rest, guide those who would harm themselves or others and protect them from themselves. Please accept my offerings to you and them and continue to protect the wayward spirits”(whispered to the ground while lightly tapping heads in threes)
Spell Jar for Persephone
I recently decided to start making Spell Jars to help honor deities and create a blend of offerings in the name of that deity. Today I made a couple of Spell Jars and mini Spell Jar necklaces for Persephone.
Things you will need as offerings:
🌹 Pomegranite seeds
🌹 obsidian, onyx, or black quartz (optional depending on your resources, but working with crystals always gives and extra magic boost.)
🌹 Wild Flowers/Spring Flowers
🌹 Bark of a Willow Tree (optional depending on your resources but highly suggested if you are able to obtain it)
🌹 Parsley
🌹 Drops of Infused Rose Oil (I make mine homemade and it is incredibly easy to make)
🌹 Bergamont essential oils
🌹 Wheat
🌹 Lillies
🌹 Lavender
You can mix and match your chosen blend of offering a to Persephone and combine them into a Spell Jar. Along with that, you could write a note or short wish or prayer to Persephone and place that note inside your Jar. I seal my Jars with wax and place them on my Altar or with the mini necklace version, around my neck to always have my deity with me.
I’ll be doing more Deity Spell Jars in the future, I just wanted to start with Persephone, one of my deities. 🖤

I am happy to present my own Wamily’s version of finding your signifier card using a Tarot deck. (Wamily, just in case you don’t know, is a witch family.)
Please keep in mind that this is a practice passed down and developed by a handful of witches related to me, and isn’t the process that every cartomancer uses. I hope this helps you on your witchcraft journey!
My own signifier card was found when I was a wee little witch. I chose the Chariot (which, if you know me personally, is Salt through and through.) My strengths and limitations are very much found in this card and I am drawn to its imagery indefinitely.
Comment with your signifier card once you find it! I am excited to see what you receive.
Get ya spice game up. I go to a local farmers market and get all my spices. They have a whole spice wall that I love.
Simple bay leaf wishes spell🔮
I found a simple wishing spell that i thought would be perfect for baby witches / witchlings such as myself.
What you need:
A bay leaf
A marker
A candle (can be colored to represent your wish if you’d like)
A fireproof bowl or something to safely burn the leaf in
What to do:
Meditate on your wish for as long as you’d like.
Write your wish on the leaf
When you are done meditating and feel ready, burn the leaf using the candle
Place it in the fireproof bowl or whatever you are using
When it has burned throw the ashes into the wind

haters will hear me scuttling inside their walls
A Chant for Protecting Yourself and Taking your Power Back
To all those who need recovery after a psychic/karmic attack, feel as though you are powerless and you need that little extra magical push, or merely for those who have had a not-so-good day,
this is for you.
Take back what belongs to you, little witch.
Your voice can mend.
“Calling upon the powers from
North, South, East, and West,
The four corners of the Earth, I take my power back.
Forsake all who threaten to do harm upon me,
I signal the universe to protect me,
and sever me from their toxicity.
Grant me the power to rise above where they had thought I had been sent to fall.
I thank the powers of North, South, East, and West,
The gifts of the Earth and the stars above;
powers of earth, water, fire, and air
with good to all,
reverse harm that has been done,
by the grace of my own magic,
this spell is done.”
*The following is optional as I am aware that not all witches have access to certain materials. However, making use of the following can accelerate and/or strengthen the intended outcome if you do possess them. You can always replace or add materials as you please; make my spell your spell.
Accessories:
-Sage/Perovskia/Palo Santo
-Hawthorn
-Onyx, amethyst, smoky quartz (regular quartz may suffice as well)
Candle Color(s):
-Black; for banishing and breaking curses
-White; purification from negative energies
Tarot Cards:
-Nine of Wands
-Chariot
-The Moon
pine trees and witchcraft
as winter months (and yule festivities) approach, pine becomes an excellent component of green witchcraft. evergreen trees, of course, symbolize immortality and perseverance. they are a great addition to any spell involving resilience or overcoming obstacles.
hanging a pine branch above your door will invite good energies, be it spirits or friends, into your space. placing pine above your bed will ward off illness.
throw pine into the fireplace (or bonfire) to summon protective energy.
pinecones work as a health and fertility charm.
pine is also an excellent smoke cleanser for purifying and warming a space’s energy.
pine trees in general are associated with divine harmony, peace, releasing guilt, and clarity. for this reason, meditation under a pine tree (or with a pine sprig in your hand) can be very healing and beneficial spiritually.
whether you have a pine tree in your home this season, you take a walk among some evergreens, or even just light a pine-scented candle in your bedroom, its wintery magick is wonderful.
