i appreciate this, but in a world where your gay brothers and sisters are being actively punished if not outright killed for having sex—in a fascist society that is trying to make gay sex a crime and has successfully done so in the past, in ways that still harm us today—we have GOT to be there for gay sex and the people having it. it doesn’t make you any less gay not to have sex, but that’s not something bigots are going to take into account, and if they do, it only stands to make you “one of the good ones” and pit you against your siblings and loved ones. whether someone personally wants sex or not, i think we have a responsibility to defend the people who do just as much as the people who don’t.

I do subscribe more to Shane being mostly sensory-seeking and understimulated in most cases (feel free to disagree) so I think he likes contrasting sensations, like a really cold/hot shower, a lot of pressure (Ilya laying on top of him full weight) and loud music - his propensity for overstimulation is only in very specific circumstances like work commitments outside of the rink making him socially exhausted and cranky or certain fabrics being the wrong kind of scratchy or different routines and plans getting interrupted with no warning.

I don’t think he’s overly sensitive to loud crowds or bright lights- he might have been, had he not had hockey from such a young age, but I think he quickly developed routines to decompress after and hyperfocus during a game etc.

This isn’t present in the source material but that’s a guideline baby- so I like to think he sleeps with a white noise machine and Ilya hated it at first and now also can’t sleep without one.

For those who don't know: Ikumi Nakamura is the woman who was senior artist on Bayonetta, and designed the titular character along with Hideki Kamiya.
