He was slightly surprised when Kami had pushed the remainder of the food towards him. Vergil had assumed that she would have eaten a bit more, but the reasoning for her lack of appetite mattered little to him at the moment. Food was food, and this was his “payment” so to speak. Still, there was no need to go about being rude about it, wanting to make sure she was certain in her decision.
"….If you are quite certain you do not require more sustenance…"
Though he supposed he could repay her with something else at least. Not with food, but helpful advice, really.
"If you so wish for me to accompany you out of this place, I will do so. Though if not, I could lead you to a less treacherous path to take to the nearest city," he finally offered after a minute or two.
She laughed at his offer, standing with a stretch. “I don’t require a chaperon, tho I guess it’s polite to thank you for the offer. But I’m not exactly a fragile little defenseless flower myself. I can handle taking a late night stroll. After all, I got here just fine, didn’t I? Besides, my car’s waiting a few blocks over.”
Half turning back, she crossed her arms, grinning. “So, when I need to find you again, what should I do? Do you come with your own magic lamp to rub? Maybe a magic flute or something?”
