And yes, there Joker is the Persephone. Well, firstly he literally is green like spring. And secondly, it would be just funny. Batman as Hades, because his Batcave is underground, he has that broody and dark aesthetic. He is that kind of emo boy, in comparison with other superheroes from Justice League, like Hades to other Olympians. Also, I had a small funny idea for an au or for a fic. So, some time after the end of The Lego Batman Movie. Everything is fine and calm. But Joker and Batman realise that they are both a bit tired and bored with their old games, fighting and stuff. Moreover, Joker is in Arkham. He had already got what he wanted - Bat admitted his feelings, confirmed the importance of their rivalry and stuff. So what now? After a long booooring period of time Bat do something really unexpected. He goes to the Arkham and kidnapped Joker. Just for an hour and half but still. He wanted to talk or just to be nearby. Maybe they just sat on the roof quietly. But then that turned to a tradition (?). Batman, the epitome of order, rightness and justice systematically "kidnaps" Joker from Arkham. Well, Joker isn't against it. These "secret missions" became a perfect alternative to their constant fights. The disappearance of Joker from Arkham became more visible. Sometimes he disappeared for days or even weeks. All that time he was just hanging out with Bat-family, lol. He and Batman had their own communication channel. Their dialogues were full of theatrics, mock-dramatic phrases, inside jokes. And one of that inside joke was "the Hades and Persephone". Joker joked about them and this parallel. The joke quickly became their local meme. When Batman "abducted" Joker, he usually left some notes for Barbara or Arkham. At some point, be began to warn Joker, before he would come, so he could pack up some things or be ready. "So, when will you come and steal your persephone to the underground kingdom?", - could have jokingly ask Joker. And Batman would respond, with something even more silly. (We know they both are such drama queens, so yeah that would totally happen. Both love silly games and cool phrases).
