Something that is amazing to listen to just before bed, or while you're working. This song creates an ethereal dreamy sound, without being too out there with instrumentation.

Such as smooth and relaxing track, it's instrumentation helps create a familiare but at the same time alien soundscape. The sitar cuts through and echos off nicely, with the piano and cello driving the track along. Sitting on top of that is a somewhat repetitive but pleasing melody that builds and falls with the track.

The slow version of this song is also worth checking out, it's only slightly slower but it's nice and relaxing.

I would love to hear some of this in a full film, but it's extremely enjoyable to listen to just on it's own. It has such amazing guitar work, and almost inspirational sound about it.

This was just an amazing experience to listen to, some of the best guitar work in just the artist's ability to utilize the whole guitar as an instrument not just the stings. The tasteful use of the didgeridoo, and stringed instruments.

Around 2:20 when they song takes off with the guitar tapping, gave me goosebumps. I also have to mention the imagery in the film clip, it might just be because I'm a country kid but the film clip was amazing.

A relaxing, more hi-fi take on vaporwave this track is a good late night track. With it's powerful kick it would go well in a club, as the whole place is coming down.

The track creates a really nice space, through the distant choir, vocals and almost random samples. But the chorus bass, and kick keep the track centered and up front. I really enjoyed the brakes at the start and end of the song, and there is a whole nother song just in those sections.

Katie Hate - Let's Pretend Again Rock - Alternative Rock - Grunge

It's a sound I have missed a lot in popular music, and I am over joyed to hear people still making it. The things the talk in the album are highly relatable, funny but impactful.

This album is so really relatable for anyone who is just starting out in music, or anything really. It's ambitious but humble in nature, the situation of being an artist who doesn't want to be famous, they just want to pay their bills is extremely relatable to myself.

As for the sound it's dripping with 90s Alt rock goodness.The only problem I have though, is as good as the singer is on this album, (and they are good) their voice is a little too nasally for me. The rest of the sound is grungy, and full on, tight, well recorded and wide.

Definitely worth blasting in the morning, or when you just want a pick up. The whole song has an "I know it was hard, but you succeeded so focus on that" sorta vibe about it.

Well first off I have to take a point off for just using cabs in their music video, but I'll add one back on because of the orange cab.

I think the title of the song is really appropriate for the track, with it's lyrics offering many good lines about life and growing as a person. Unfortunately I feel the lyrics are a little cliché, but their is a lot of good quotes to take away from the song that are relatable and practical. My favorite being "To suffer and win, will mean that you truly lived."

The recording of the song is done really well, and it was a pleasure to listen too. everything is nice a clear with the vocals sitting right on top, but with a little bit of grunge still in the guitars.

so there seems to be a lot of relaxing music going up here, I might break that up with some smooth, smooth djent. I always love videos like this because you get to see how the music was being made, and it shows how much work some of these musicians put into their songs.

I love the song itself too, it's mixed really well and the track is nice and heavy with tons of clarity. The vocals are brutal and amazing as they should be, and the instrumentation is insane. Definitely worth checking out especially if you have never heard djent or know what it is.

So I struggled with this post, cause this isn't my style of rap at all. But damn, I think it's worth checking out just for the production value alone. I was able to listen to it over a nice system with a big sub and it was worth it, tons of bass, but still nice and clear, it also sounds like he put a lot into recording the vocals cause they are tight. I also have to say, this guy is one of the most professional and tolerant musicians I have talked to. I had no idea how to review this so I asked him to give me a week and they were more than tolerant. So give it a listen if you want something heavy and tight as F%$#. Kintsukuroi

This song is named after a technique of fixing something you've dropped and smashed by using liquid metal, and essentially saying that it's now a better thing due to the process. This song is basical

I don't think I have heard a song quite like this, it's just vocals and a bass guitar. But the message behind the song is extremely comforting, singing about how even if someone has been damaged, they are even more unique and beautiful because of if. The overall sound of the track creates an open empty space, with the vocals right up in front so you feel like the singing is singing to you directly.

A favourite part of the song is definitely towards the end, where a second pitched down harmony runs under the main vocals. It creates an extremely pleasant and relaxing vocal effect. Another thing that came across in the song was the emotion. It feels like the singer is confused and in awe of what the person is and what they could become.

I thought I might keep the relaxing train going, with some really easy listing neo-soul hip hop.I think this album really needs to be listed to start to finish, and it’s a pleasure to do so. The first track really sets the mood for the rest of the album and shows off the elements that are used throughout the rest of the songs. I really enjoyed the reverb washed saxophone solo in the Interlude “after midnight, Still thinking” It just sits so nicely in the middle of the album and gives a relaxing palate cleanser to bring the track back down, after the most intense ending of “PHILIPS’S BICYCLE ft.DJ Shafer”.

I really seem to get that whole, late night relaxing in your loft apartment, sorta vibe from this album. But I think it would also be amazing to listen too if you are just walking around the city or going for a curse. Coals & Fire - NEW ALBUM

So I’m getting sent some really awesome stuff, I went out looking for EDM and found something way cooler. This was sent to me through reddit, by mandolinmanvt “Hey! I’m an mandolinist, I just released a new album, everything from gypsy jazz to funk”. It’s something I didn’t think I would enjoy, but it actually sounds amazing.

The album although seems like a series of ups and downs, with some tracks hitting the sweet spot of clarity and grove, but their are some other songs that might be jarring to people who aren’t used to the genres of folk, gypsy or funk. If you just want to skip through the album I definitely recommend the instrumental tracks, ‘Blue Sky Rapture’, 'Asphalt’, 'Iris Rag’ and 'Betwixt the ways the world turns 'round’, they make amazing listening music, or background music. But the tracks 'Two Shoes’ and 'The Stranger it Gets’, shouldn’t be missed.

On a final note, it seems fitting that the first track I promote on here is a folk sounding funk sounding album, with a name like Coals and Fire. The first album I ever, ever recorded was a folk blues album called Coals, by Ed Wordmen. Also if you liked it give this post a like so it gets shared around some more (this seriously helps)

-Like noisy music? -Yes. The louder the better. Stops me from thinking. -You don't like to think? What do you like? - Never thought about it.

It might just be because it’s really early in the morning, but sometimes I love this style of music. I think it’s largely because it seems to push on what people would define as “music”. It’s these sorts of songs that help us develop new styles of music. This style of song for me is definitely not listenable all the time, but when it is it’s eerie, spooky and it’s ability to cause these feelings is sorta spectacular in it’s own way. I really recommend giving it a listen late at night, with the lights off while staring at some glitch art. Final song for today, is from a punk band up in Sydney. Now normally I’m not allowed to like anything from Sydney, but that’s because it’s probably the worst place in the world… Putting aside the Melbourne vs Sydney jokes, this Song is really F#%*ing good. Brutal vocals, roomy sounding drums, clear but grungy and brutal. I got a little bit excited when I read “Sydney based punk band” and this track meet all my expectations and surpassed them.
