This image was taken very early in the morning. The sun was just beginning to rise behind the mountains, and the cold was still heavy in the air. The lynx appeared on this rocky area and began hunting right in front of us. What stood out immediately were its ears. They moved constantly, adjusting position again and again, working like precise antennas. There was no rabbit visible anywhere, yet the lynx was clearly tracking its prey using sound alone. You could follow the entire process. The pauses. The focus. The way it narrowed down the exact location of the rabbit without ever seeing it. Then the chase began, and within seconds it was over. The lynx emerged successfully with the rabbit in its mouth as the first light of the day touched the landscape. Witnessing this behavior so closely was truly unforgettable.

Proboscis Bat Rhynchonycteris naso
It is found from southern Mexico to Belize, Peru, Venezuela, Bolivia and Brazil, as well as in Trinidad. The bats are nocturnal, sleeping during the day in an unusual formation: most of them line up, one after another, on a branch or wooden beam, nose to tail, in a straight row.
In the photo, the two bats on the lower left are carrying young.

it’s so magical and beautiful that there are sprawling interconnected cave systems carved deep into the earth by various geological forces and you don’t have to go in them. there are miles and miles of stone passageways in total darkness that require you to exhale all the air out of your lungs to squeeze through parts of them and you don’t have to be there. some of these squeezes are underwater and require cave divers to take off their oxygen tanks and push them through ahead of them and me i am above ground looking at the sky as we speak. there are untold subterranean wonders no human has ever seen and i will not be the one to discover them #grateful #blessed
whoever said diamonds are a girl's best friend clearly has never met ibuprofen
Actually literally accurate. The song originates in the 1949 musical Gentlemen Prefer Blondes, while ibuprofen was invented in 1961.

I am forever fascinated by the arms race between coelurosaurs and ceratopsians. Among the most famous rivals in palaeomedia growing up was Velociraptor and Protoceratops, Tyrannosaurus and Triceratops, and of course I had to add two of my faves, Gorgosaurus and Styracosaurus!
Long time followers may recognise the bottom two skulls as art I have made previously, fun fact I have been sitting on this idea for a little over two years!
