Something so ridiculous to me about Cale and the Ancient Powers is just... Cale is a combination of most of their most distinctive traits.

So, like, even though they yell or complain or worry sometimes, most of the time the vibe is just: "Oh, thank goodness, he's doing exactly the thing I wanted to see done."

Because. I mean. What's more agonizing than being a spectator stuck in the body that doesn't do anything you want?

The Ancient Powers are living their best second-lives, getting to vicariously have all the experiences they crave because Cale is as crazy as all of them combined.

They joined him because they were like "he reminds me of that one crazy guy (just another one of the ancient power holders) and I kinda miss them so I might as well for old times sake" and suddenly the gang is all together again. They were like "yeah I'll ride with this son of a gun and see what we can do" and ended up on the ride of their lives.

Ok so Raon and Choi Han do NOT get enough credit for being with the busiest man on several dimensions 24/7

They do just as much as Cale he just plans things and is our narrator

Raon in fact is constantly using his magic for Cale and informing Cale on what’s going on around him

While Choi Han does a ton of menial work for Cale

And no matter who’s doing the work running around that much is tiring af

Personally I don’t think we talk enough about Cale just having voices in his head

Just 24/7 having 5 guys chilling in your head commenting on everything you do. I’m not even kidding I forgot what part it was but they couldn’t talk and Cale literally said

“The voices are silent”

THE VOICES IS A CRAZY THING TO JUST HAVE IN YOUR HEAD CALE????? Don’t fool me into thinking it’s normal? No one ELSE has the voices when they get powers?? Cale? Babe? Girly??? I know the voices are nice and friendly and like part of the family but still insane

Also can I point out how close Cale must feel to said voices and as of this point in time that I know of nobody else knows about them?? You’ve got five people just up in your head and nobody knows??? And you know it’s not normal??? Cale???

Hc that Cale has a habit of quoting dialogues and random lines from the books he reads, just another creative use of Record, though the main reason is to mess with Alberu.

Imagine, in a meeting, after a minor conflict of opinions between the two,

Cale, with the most indifferent expression: Your existence is an ache to my soul.

Everyone else :???!!!????!!?!?!

Alberu, nonchalant: What book?

Cale: It's tragedy. You won't like it.

Alberu, nodding: Okay.

Cale: I'll give it to you after I'm done.

Hc that Cale developed another acutely concerning habit thanks to the Crybaby's power. The habit being—he eats anything and everything he receives from anyone in sight.

Look, the redhead has a pretty distrusting personality, right? But not with food. He discovers after an unfortunate accident that VoH can heal him even from food poisoning, rather his body doesn't even get that poisoned in the first place. After that? It goes as well as you'd expect.

Imagine Cale nibbling on cookies some time and Alberu notices it's not the one he ordered and he's curious and Cale is like, 'Someone gave it to me' and Alberu's confused and mildly concerned like 'Who??' And Cale just, shrugs. and continues eating. It takes a moment for the blond to process before he scrambles to the redhead in panic and he's shouting 'Spit it out!!!' shaking the frail man while Cale just, swallows the last crumb right in front of his eyes. Alberu's there losing his mind like 'Why would you eat that???' and Cale just shrugs again, and replies, matter-of-fact, 'Was hungry.'

Imagine Cale's out roaming in a festival with Ron and the old man is startled when the redhead just starts eating the bread roll he got from a random kid on the street. And he's chewing slowly and mumbling 'thank you' and the kid is having the best moment of his life while Ron is having the biggest crisis of his.

TCF is exactly the same, but everyone, except the Dragon's, are some type of beastman that can shift similarly to the kittens. So instead of it looking like Cale has a bunch of human allies, it just looks like Cale has like 30 exotic pets.

The Molans would be Badgers or Wolverines

Choi Han a Dog or Wolf

Lock a Wolf Obviously

Rosalyn some sort of Bird

And because they want to be included, the Dragon shift into various different reptiles

Raon as a little Chinese Cave Gecko so he can stay perched on Cale's head/shoulder/pocket
