I kinda love not being able to see. Yeah it sucks that I can't see things normal people can see until I'm up close but it can be so beautiful. What if Chester and Parker used to date (in the early days of making videos) which is why they were so sweet towards each other like a couple and then they slowly drifted apart or broke up somewhere down the line. Chester wanted to stay friends and he had nowhere else to go which is why Parker lets him stay. Maybe they had a big fight that Parker started which is why Parker buys everything for Chester, its out of guilt.

That isn’t all that far from its truth.

I wouldn’t want to comment on their PERSONAL relationship, that is: what kind of relationship they have behind cameras. That is something only Parker and Chester can talk about because they are the only two that would know the most.

But by all means I can say that the characters they depict have definitely shown signs of being in love with one another.

At first I chalked it up to them entertaining their fanbase by queer baiting (which I wouldn’t be all that surprised about if that’s the case.) But at times I feel like they’ve been hinting at this complex relationship way before “Parkster” became a popular term.

I mean hey, If I was running away from paranormal entities with my best friend for 7 to 8 years or so I’d probably fall in love with the comfort and company of my aforementioned best friend.

Their overall relationship heavily falls on “my ride or die.” The two quite literally encounter danger together and never leave each other, despite Chester’s threats to leave at times: he can’t quite bring himself to REALLY leave Parker at the end.

Parker is also protective towards Chester, he rather save his beloved camera man over any other entrapped person.

Parker and Chester have also argued in their videos, it’s just more emotionally driven in Luxury Dark rather than Life Of Luxury. Parker seems to be the type of guy to just detach himself and not take any sense of accountability for his mistakes. Chester is clearly the opposite, trying to argue his way into a something (making him the voice of reason)

How they make up from their arguments is just naturally growing back into normalcy. I haven’t ever heard these two apologise to one another verbally but there could be slight signs they’re apologising in hidden gestures and signs. I think the only time I caught onto this was the time when Parker asked Chester how he slept (and getting a “why do you care?’ Of a response from Chester.) I feel like Parker’s QUESTIONING in particular was in a way of trying to ease back into comfort and starting conversations without having to acknowledge apologising . See I read into things a lot too at times.

Their relationship dynamic is rather ‘angstymadness’ : they don’t hurt each other at face value but Parker not caring about Chester’s discomfort and fears really highlights that Parker cares about himself and his paranormal investigations. Whereas Chester has worded that he cares about himself AND PARKER more than he cares about the random people they’re trying to ‘help’.

And this is just my analysis on Life Of Luxury. I don’t even know how to start with LuxuryDark, that channel is purely queer and dramatic, though we love that.

But to cut this ramble off I just want to say that: I also do think that the characters have had somewhat of a relationship that might have been broken off as the paranormal investigations became worse for them to handle.

My opinion on Isamu Uchiumi

First thing, I apologise for not answering soon, the thing is that when I saw this I had to sit down with myself and ask: “what are my opinions about Isamu?” So I gathered up my thoughts and tried to keep them clear and short without too much of my own personal headcanon thoughts,

here goes nothing.

Apart from the canonical viewpoints of him being courageous, brave, confident and a tad sassy.

I personally think that there is (or rather, there could’ve been) more to him when it comes to who he is as the Protagonist of Book 2.

Now most of these are just simply my own take, my own headcanon, my own overall observations regarding him.

First things first. He is definitely someone who has the concept of blaming himself.

Isamu self blames a lot. To him: it’s his fault that Akihito lashed out and bashed the glass bottle onto Senzai’s head, it’s his fault that Senzai ended up cutting himself out of the family, it’s his fault that Senzai had ‘died’. (Being blamed for Senzai’s ‘death’ was also a very taunting point coming from the Kiioribara Cult) it’s his fault that Tokyo was in shambles. Everything according to him was his own fault.

And that clearly stems out from his family. Akihito would yell at Senzai and ‘teach him lessons’ simply because he was nothing like Isamu. This made Senzai hate Isamu and blame him for everything going wrong in his life. Senzai used to make it clear that it’s all Isamu’s fault. (which baffles me, because Senzai does insult his own brother, but stays quiet regarding their father.)

Secondly, about Isamu as a Teenager (now here’s where I just throw random thoughts since we didn’t really get much out of Isamu’s childhood)

I always saw 2015 Isamu with a golden retriever personality. I saw him as someone who you could be a pure sense of mess with in the most comforting manner. That aforementioned golden retriever personality was definitely ripped away from him after what had happened to Senzai, and who Senzai turned into afterwards.

Isamu, witnessing something that scarred him for good, found himself with his own thoughts. Get this, He can’t talk to Senzai anymore because Senzai just assumes Isamu is a liar and a betraying “brat”. He very obviously can’t talk to Akihito about this, nor would he willingly open up to his school mates about something so tremendous. So I personally think, Isamu ended up dwelling in his own thoughts and found comfort in conversing with himself . (And I think about this quite often as Isamu was merely talking to himself throughout the chapters.)

Isamu grew up in conditions that were clearly mentally draining and it reflected deep onto him. For example: His inability to cook gets chalked up to something silly but I genuinely think him not being able to cook is just him never having the energy to take care of himself as an adult. We can only imagine the mess he lived in after Senzai was found ‘dead’.

To stop myself from rambling on, here’s just my other opinions, just at face value instead of deep analysis.

In my opinion, Isamu has a self blaming personality, he is clearly someone who has a lot of conflicts embedded within, he doesn’t stop to ever think about himself because others always came before him, he seems to try and play things off gently with his humour, like Senzai: he wanted to be Akihito’s pride BUT unlike Senzai, that wasn’t the only thing on his mind. He talks to himself because no one else was there, and overall he’s an abused child that went through hell, who also ended up dying without closure.

(I do apologise again if this is really inconsistent and sounds a tad slurrish, I’ve never been good with giving out opinions.)

I work with kids and sometimes we have to do safety lessons with them about like, not telling strangers on the internet your home address or something. And sometimes the kids wont understand why, so you have to impart upon them that, well, some adults want to hurt children. And thats kind of difficult to do, because you have to beat around the bush, both because you dont want to scare them (while still making them understand how serious it is) and because you might lose your job if you explain it too straight forward.

Luckily, for some reason, the villain of one of the most popular franchises with children for the last 10 years happens to be a serial child murderer. So when a kid asks why they shouldnt trust strangers, instead of hand wringing and humhawing my answer out, I can just say "we dont always know when a strange adult has good intentions with children, or when they are William Afton."

The word friend under quotations.

The single quotation marks are most of the time used for sarcastic undertones. (From what I recall) And here, the word under quotation is being used for Parker, who is Chester’s ‘Friend.’ But that said friend is being used sarcastically.
