sorry but i was thinking how AMAZING s5 had the potential to be if they included something like churchgate (ie. possessed will). can you imagine the thrill??? will's expressions shifting back and forth between his & henry's. him holding a gun to mike's head which violently trembles before it goes dead still. mike desperately trying to Not Be Killed while not hurting his friend + snapping him out of the trance. the dialogue. the desperation. the ACTING THE VISUALS THE EVERYTHING.
can you imagine. him saying "you were right, mike. i am vecna." but it's VECNA speaking through HIM and HIS voice??? and at first henry pretends he's will but mike can tell something is off until he finally drops the act??
that GENUINELY would have been jaw-dropping. i would've never forgotten that. duffers had the opportunity for the most emotionally intense crazy sequence of all time and MISSED IT
