We adore these project campaigns ‘Cotton, Our Pride’ by the Ethical Fashion Initiative that celebrates the talent and creativity of designers from Cotonou, Benin.

United by their shared passion for cotton, 10 African designers crafted unique pieces using sublimating cotton fiber sourced directly from EFI’s production network in Benin, Burkina Faso, and Mali.

With EFI’s guidance at every step—from fabric selection to the final touches—these collaborations reflect a deep connection between designers and artisans, elevating both craft and culture.

Lucas Cordeiro is a photographer and visual artist based in São Paulo and Salvador, creating from Afro-centered aesthetics that dialogue with themes such as ancestry, religion, technologies and their intersections. His works explore family relationships and emotional bonds through the lens of spirituality while using photography and video to express the mimesis of what’s real and what’s virtual. Through tactics that turn the image into a vehicle toward the sacred, his work examines the meeting of spirituality, ancestry.
