Enemy of Christ the endermite art program reviews (THESE ARE ALL AT BASE NO CUSTOM BRUSHES/PLUGINS REVIEWS)
Ibis paintX (free version):
6/10 this is who you should strive to be better than. Ads make looking at references terrible, intensely mediocre brush selection.
Mediabang (free version):
7.5/10
This would be a b or b+ in the American grading scale. Really nice brush selection with like 5 mediocre ones. This is what I would recommend for like someone fresh onto a drawing tablet. "Jack of all trades, Master of none, but often times better than a master of one"
Krita:
9/10 Best overall but I'd recommend making art in another software like media bang before going into krita. The only reason it isn't a 10 out of 10 is because all of the really nice features are also complex and harder to get a hold of. Amazing brush selection. And the stamps and textures are so so so nice for making backgrounds and stuff. So some unique brushes by default compared to the other two make this my go to
Pixil.art:
7.5/10
Good pixel art program, works fine and simple ui. ive used it for a while and its really easy to use and the lack of need for a download is really nice
Paint.net:
4/10
Bad. I hate it. the scratch editor is better unironically. This applies to the un-modified base version with no plugins idk abt plugin version
Scratch:
4.5/10
Unironically better than paint.net but not by much, better to use for vector stuff but just use smth else, not really worth it
