"Oh dear, you’re not sick, are you?” Manon asked, putting her hand on Clara’s forehead to check if the other had fever. “I want you to be here of course, but wouldn’t you be more comfortable at home? I don’t want you to get worse,” she offered her friend a warm smile. “I promise to drink for the both of us and make you proud.”

"I know quite a few, but weirdly we’re all from the same family so I believe it’d be a win-win for everyone,” Manon grinned in reply, then reached to give Octavia a hug. “Missed you too, gorgeous. You have been well I hope, any new designs I can have a look at?”

“If you’re so eager for a drink, perhaps it would be best if you get your own instead of just grabbing a random one,” William commented loudly when he noticed the other trying to take his half empty gall of Firewhisky. His tone was casual since he figured it was an honest mistake, but one could never be too careful.

“They say a stolen drink tastes much better than the one you pay for yourself,” Manon replied, helping herself to Ashcroft’s drink anyway. She knew she wouldn’t like it, but she enjoyed making a point. She turned her face away from him so he wouldn’t see her grimace after she took a sip, then turned to face him and grinned. “You’re surprisingly well-behaved tonight, what happened?”

"At this point Harley is a classic,” Manon commented. “Haven’t seen the movie you’re talking about, but it was her solo movie, right? Honestly, any would be better than the previous one,” she added, not bothering to sugarcoat it.

Even though it wasn’t the first time her little sister was dating - fine, almost dating - Manon felt uneasy. In her eyes Joséphine was still five years old and tugging at her skirt whenever she wanted to tell her something in secret. Perhaps Vexmoor was not the worst choice, but surely her sister would not have any trouble with finding someone who was not a walking disaster. “What’s our deal, Vexmoor?” She finally asked, after she was sure she made him uncomfortable enough not to think too long about the answer.

“You should definitely dress up!” Manon exclaimed, already excited about the possibility of helping him out with picking out the costume. “Unless you want to make a statement that is, but even in that you wouldn’t be the only one. So I think you should just let me pick something for you,” she grinned broadly at Damien.

"Oh, I think he might be attending a meeting. I saw a bunch of higher-ups gathering earlier and I’m pretty sure he was among them,” Manon explained. “You’re welcome to hang around and wait, I doubt anyone would tell you to scram,” she added with a smile.

Manon smiled at the other, pleased that someone noticed what a masterpiece she was wearing. Perhaps they were not the most suitable footwear, but they were gorgeous so feeling slightly uncomfortable was worth it. “I got them in a small boutique in Cagnes-sur-Mer. They only make a few pairs of each design, but I’m sure you’ll be able to find something for yourself,” she replied.

Although I cannot wait to see you in action sometime. Is it appropriate to wear a t-shirt with my favorite auror on it and cheer as you arrest somebody?” Chloé asked with a playful laugh. “We were talking about where the best boutiques are. I need to refresh my wardrobe.”

"I’d love that idea! Please feel free to pop by into my office whenever you want, everyone should be reminded who is the best,” the blonde nodded her head energetically. “Oh, and do ignore the surly man that will definitely approach you, he’s an ass and is unpleasant to everyone,” she added, shrugging. “Mel was talking about some unknown designer not that long ago. I think I’m going to have a look at her ideas, want to join?”

"I do like this one too, thanks,” Manon smiled brightly at the other as she took her drink from him. “And come on, you sound as if we’re old and wrinkly. If you dare to say I’ve got even one wrinkle, I will hex you,” she then warned, though she kept her tone playful.

“There’s nothing wrong with my stomach, so I’m sure I can drink as much coffee as I want,” Teddy said defensively, then took the remaining two sips of his double espresso. “You can always pretend you haven’t seen me here,” he added with a shrug. Technically he still had to stay a day or two more at the hospital, but he just needed some fresh air and the coffee shop simply happened to be in the area.

"I’m not going to lie if someone asks me if I saw you, but I can promise not to share the information without being asked,” she smiled warmly at the man. She eyed him up and down, then took a seat next to him. “How are you, Teddy?” Manon asked. His absence was felt and she did miss having his face around.

I need to seize the day and if that means I’m a little messy in the morning, it’s not the worst thing in the world. You might just have to make sure I make it home and behave myself though. I have a tendency to get a little wild when intoxicated.” Freya admitted with a bright laugh. “And that dance floor is calling to me right now.”

“I can get you home but make you behave yourself? Where’s the fun in that?” Manon asked, smirking at the other blonde. “Have your fun, chérie, and not worry about a thing,” she promised.

“You haven’t been staying after hours again, have you?” Manon raised an eyebrow at the other once they sat down in one of the meeting rooms. She then pushed a folder towards Electra. “We’ve got some new intel but I wouldn’t say it makes much difference. But at least it’s better than nothing.”
