Hi, just read one of your to things. I know miles is a person. But is there a rat called miles too? Zane is wanting washing miles and he gives Chase on all fours squeaking. Or can miles turn into that rat.
Oh hello, Iâve not rpâed on this account for quite a while haha  But yes Miles is a person, an original character Nosferatu vampire from the VtM tabletop setting.  I thought itâd be fun/silly if he had one of the other clans abilities that lets them turn into an animal. He can turn into just one and its a rat
Folks that don't know the movie osmosis Jones, explain what's going on in this scene
Every rational emotion in my brain tries to reason with my anxiety
CONS of fleeing my life of Toil and Woe, to become a Pirate âpon the high seas:
significantly heightened risk of Scurvy
merely trading one sort of labor for another - which may, in truth, reveal itself, once unhidden by the veil of Fantasy, to be far more grueling
nevermore shall I cast my gaze towards my beloved Annabelle, unless it be in longing
oceanâs kinda boring after a while
PROS of fleeing my life of Toil and Woe, to become a Pirate âpon the high seas:
significantly reduced risk of Ye Corona
moreover, the sea air shall, in general, be a boon to my constitution (which has so long been weak, and thus a burden, in spite of my considerable physical strength)
surrounded by neâer-do-wells, I could escape the judgment of Polite Society, and indulge in my more Gothic and Crusted-Punk tendencies freely; never again would I have to feign interest in Mass Media or Animated Giffes That Are Not Very Good
perhaps⌠if I approached Annabelle, and told her my plan⌠she, too, would see value in a life of adventure?..

lostfledglingâ:
She cooouuuuld, but you know what wasnât at home?
A Nosferatu who had shown interest in showing her artifacts. Or at least she hoped that wasnât at home, as nice as it sounded she wasnât so sure she wanted that in her living space. âHow lame, they really should add healthier food. I imagine blood tastes better if the people are healthier, and please feel free to correct my knowledge if wrong, and they could have some real swell blood there if they only tried a little harderâ âAnyways, I figure it might be safe to lay low for an hour or so and you had mentioned wanting to see my claw, right? And in turn, show me something, hm?â show the goods, Miles.
Itâd end up in her living space, one way or another. Eventually. Miles was a sneaky and noisy bastard who just had very little perception of personal property and space.
He sort of just doesnât say anything about healthy foods equaling good blood, itâd help but there were more factors then that. Dare he have her start off on that sort of tangent though. Did not seem like the type of person to leave him alone unless she knew all there was he could offer on a subject.  Miles perks up when the claw is mentioned. âOh yes, that must have a story behind it, doesnât it? Rarely do even kindred come into possession of Garou parts.â The elder Nosferatu is rummaging in his pockets as they walk, there was always something rattling around in here- he pulls out a tiny fancy rat sweater meant for a spoiled princess of a rat. Nope, not that sort of goods.... He keeps looking, finally sliding something small out of his jacket and turning it over in his fingers with a pondering look. It looks like some sort of charm perhaps but for now Saal would only see the occasional glint of deep blue from it.
lostfledglingâ:
The Giovanni took a step back when Miles addressed them and spent little to no time getting out of there once he felt he was free to go. Something just didnât feel right about the little one and while being cocky could be intimidating he didnât feel like trying to out intimidate that rat.
As Saaleha watched him go she chuckled a little, she was sure this may bring her more trouble down the road but as long as tonight was peaceful she was okay with how it turned out. âOne of the many mysterious I supposeâ she spoke with a smile as she put away the charmed claw. âSo, are we still going to the bar? I hope they havenât shut down the grill yet and took my advice on more halal friendly foodsâ they didnât. Saaleha took in a slow deep breath before taking a step down the road, glancing back at Miles to see where he would go, if heâd follow or lead.
Miles thinks about it, now that there was no immediate danger she could just go home. But he had the feeling she implied she was hungry. âTo the barâ He shrugs, following her. âI do not think that a place like that concerns itself with anything but the typical greasy fare to go along with watery beer. Anything specialty adds too much to the cost or effort you see? Unless the demand rises higherâ
lostfledglingâ:
âYes sir, I figured you have better intuition on these things than meâŚAnd it is a rather tempting offerâ Saaleha was soon silent as the Giovanni stood tall, dusting off their outfit where Miles had his grubby little hands, this suit may need to be burned in the end. âIâŚNeed time to think things through, would that be okay?â Saaleha now asked and at least it was a favorable enough answer for the other kindred to nod. This was an improvement and if he could continue sowing the seeds of doubtâŚHeck, even if he couldnât get it off without the hand coming with it at least he could work on the girlâs trust while also attempting to keep this away from the others. âOkayâŚOkay good. I suppose you will know where to find me, yaâll always doâ She sounded so tired before taking a step back, though wouldnât be putting away the charmed claw for a while. She was now trying to peacefully leave this situation, her eyes watching Miles to see if he would follow or not.
Miles stood there for a moment, watching the other kindred attentively since heâs let go. Not afraid but cautious as all kindred ought to be.  Whenever the Giovanni looks at him Miles would grin in a creepy cheerful way.
He makes it seem like he isnât going to move at first and lean towards the man. âI better not find you againâ Aka a donât follow me or else.  How does a pipsqueak like this come off so intimidating somehow. Either way with that Miles turned to walk with Saaleha. âMystery solved it seems!â
lostfledglingâ:
âYou Nosferatu are the beeestâ Saaleha teased, thrilled at the idea of someone so willing to show her artifacts and charms and the what not. Especially since these things didnât seem to be very commonâŚOr so she assumed.
âThe item is ratherâŚUseless, by itself.â The Giovanni admitted, unsure how much he wanted to admit. Didnât want to spill all the beans that he knew and get squashed. Especially since while he was allowed to know more than others he didnât know everything about the bracelet. âItâs a burden to carry and not very fashionable. So, if allowed perhaps I could be released and then we can set up a meeting of sorts to experimentâŚAs long as no one else gets to it beforehandâ If he could convince the girl that it was more trouble then it was worth, which honestly it was, then perhaps they could do this a more peaceful way. Heâd then gain rep in not only avoiding being felled by whatever had struck down the others but also bring the bracelet back. He just wished he knew exactly what the other component was to this mess or he might even consider putting it on himself. âHm, what do you think?â Saaleha then asked Miles as she held the claw like a small dagger, which the kindreds eyes kept returning to.
âMe? That this is all very suspicious of course. And that Iâd be insane to trust a Giovanni.â Miles smiles wide at his captive, he lets his hold slip a bit finally letting the other kindred stand up straight. No funny moves now though or the old Nosferatu will punch someones kneecaps out....    âAt the same time it is little of my business, it is not my item, and it is not on my hand. So the final choice is yoursâ He lifts a brow at Saaleha. They had only met just now after all, he had no actual obligation to her.
lostfledglingâ:
The Giovanni groans, really wanting to be free right about now. He felt like a rat in the catâs claws. Though with what little freedom the kindred was given they dusted off their suit glad they were no longer among the living as they were sure being held to stoop this low for so long would cause a crick in their back. Saaleha huffed a little attempting to play brave before turning her attention towards Miles, giving a half smile before shrugging, âI suppose we will. I bet you have a lot of cool thingsâ He was so casual, it made it hard to be serious herself and not match what felt like a devil may care attitude. âLook, if you wanted to talk you would have done things differently. Come at me in public where it would be more obvious instead of slinking around in the shadows. So, make me believe you, win me over on whatever this plan is because if you donâtâŚâ Saaleha then squinted her eyes while having no real punishment in mind besides dunking them into the trash. âAh, well yesâŚâ The kindreds tone sounded a tad nervous over it all before collecting themselves. âEveryone seems to be after that trinket youâve gotten, and with how many have failed I wanted to take a different approach. If we could perhaps strike a deal, allow me to try a few things to remove the bracelet without removing the hand as well would benefit both parties as surely you know these attacks will not stopâ
âMany things. Hidden things. Iâll have to see what I have with me here.â Well that didnât sound ominous at all. Just what was he hiding away?     Also while Saaleha may have had no punishment in mind but the Nosferatu could likely dish some out. He was standing by for now, a bored expression as he hears the same old spiel of striking a deal that everyone involved knew wasnât actually honest.    âWhat is the obsession?â Miles snickers, as if heâs never been grabbing for anything ever when he didnât need to. âIt is an old item surely but its purpose is nothing to expend this effort for.â He grins at his captive, maybe seeing if heâd spill some information.
lostfledglingâ:
The Giovanni let out a small nervous chuckle when they tried to pull away but found that the Nosferatuâs grip was as tight as steel. It was hard to feel cocky when in a situation like this.
âYes, well. I was hoping to speak with the young woman over her peculiar choice ofâŚJewelry. Nothing violent I assure, justâŚWanted to list a few options, possibly strike a dealâ Saaleha gave a small âMm-hmâ in a sarcastic tone as she didnât really believe them, not after so many people had tried to cut her hand off.
âAre you trying to claim that then? Figures. Only your sort would scoop up and parade around such old trinkets hoping theyâd grant validity your existence.â After just so casually spitting fire at the other kindred and still holding the by the suit Miles steps to the side as if presenting the catch of the day to Saaleha with a little flourish of his free hand and a half bow. Straightening up he eyes up the decorated werewolf claw, blue eyes sparkling with interest at the trinket. More of...how she got one of those? âOhoh, remind me we need to show each other our little collections!â
lostfledglingâ:
Oh yeah, there was that look of disdain that Saaleha comes to cherish from âThe Italianâsâ, which was quickly overshadowed with worry when the small Nosferatu pulled them closer.
It may have been somewhat of a surprise that the Giovanni had not outright attacked just yet, or maybe the Beast within was holding their action, tilted and on the edge of panicking by being cornered by something it could somehow sense was so much stronger than itself. Though it wasnât as if this one didnât have a backup plan, already his eyes carefully studied every aspect that one could see about the Nosferatu before them and the girl behind. âA peaceful chat one would hopeâ They then spoke as Saaleha inched closer, from her pocket she pulled out what looked like a very very large claw, about the same size of a small knife, the tip cast in gold while the rest had been carved into with a blueish black dye or ink to follow. The werewolves claw that she had turned into a charm.
Miles would be...will be all over that claw once heâll see it. For now all of his attention was on the Giovanni.
âPeaceful chat hm?â Miles smiles, showing off those weird and uneven dirty teeth of those. Heâs not let the other kindreds suit go still, because following people around is the opposite of wanting a nice peaceful talk. âOut with it then.â
lostfledglingâ:
Honestly, if Miles had been alone they may have never noticed him but since Saaleha was following and not turning invisible like the Nosferatu it was a little easier to track.
It became a habit to look out for whoever the girl may be with as she was usually always with someone if she could manage. Usually being a large crowd of kine, using the Masquerade to her own advantage. But whenever it was a single person, this became concerning and more of a stalk than a hunt. Saaleha looked a little confused as she passed Miles, blinking a few times before stopping a good few steps ahead of him. It was a tad hard to think at the moment from overuse of Second Sight, but hey, she held it for 3 seconds longer than usual. Improvements! In the end, the trap worked beautifully. The kindred waited a decent amount of time before turning the corner but all the same still almost collided with Miles, letting out a surprised sound before trying to quickly back up. They were dressed pretty nicely as if they were going out to some fancy party that had a tie rule. Seemed to be male in their late 40â˛s, bits of grey hair here and there and everything else about them screamed Giovanni. âThe Italians!â Saaleha whisper yelled, this time doing it on purpose as she knew âforgettingâ their clan name, family name had annoyed a few ghouls in the past.
âThe Italians!â Miles yelled out with a big grin, having revealed their stalker. He lunges out at the same time to try and grab the other kindred by that fancy suit. It will most definitely have holes in it after this.    Of course, he knew what this other kindred was. It was fairly unmistakable. But he liked playing along...may have to be careful as well though of any of their Giovanni bull they may pull.   âWell well....lets have a chatâ
lostfledglingâ:
Saaleha followed along almost silently herself as she clutched her head in one hand. Her eyes felt like they were always on him, even when he went invisible until the moment she couldnât keep it up anymore and halfway there gave up on Second sight.
The intense feeling it left behind would fade as the girl simply whimpered once. She felt like there were drums beating in her ears. Somewhere behind them in the shadows, someone watched, allowing the two to have a decent lead while following where they went. It usually wasnât good news when Saaleha traveled with others as they knew something was keeping the girl alive and somehow they doubted it was her own abilities given that she was mortal. A tad foolish that line of thought given that the young woman was Imbued.
Miles didn't glance back, except when Saaleha whimpered. Not for her sake but to use it as an excuse for looking behind himself.
All these long years alive have left him with a gut feeling of when someone was watching him. And it was not the girl. He didn't like that. Who even thought they could trail him around?
Frowning the Nosferatu continues on as if nothing is the matter. Then when they turn a corner he suddenly stops, hugging the wall and motioning for Saaleha to move on past him. If someone was trailing them and was not expecting this they may end up face to face with Miles. If they were short or glanced down, but the sentiment stayed.
